W.G.O.D ,the greatest underground/pirate radio station ,to ever hit the airwaves (back in the 90's in the Ft. Myers,Florida scene!) ,is now available as a Godcast (podcast)! This episode is the midnite show from July 9th of 1994. G O D is joined by guest d.j. J A H ,of W.T.H.C. radio ,and there are liners and drops by oldie station d.j. extrordinaire ,Doug Shannon ,at every twist and turn of this fine show.Food Fortunata even lends his talents with a couple of between song messages himself! The first part is ,as you can see below from the track list ,mostly current (at the time) punk and alt-rock bands ,with a few classics mixed in. The second half of this show consists of some of the latest (at the time of broadcast) Sluggisha Tapes artists ,with their newest songs. WGOD #13 -GODCAST 6/2/1992

One of the earliest,(from when I began numbering the tapes,there were a ton of unnumbered volumes scattered round our town and the world!), WGOD radio tapes I could find in the vault( there may be earlier ones,I think I saw #6 down there!),I used to make these as mix tapes for friends,and I gave away a ton of them,and never made copies of them,so if you have one,it's the only one of it's kind.Don't get the wrong idea about the call letters,I have nothing to do with church,christ,religion,or any of that shit,I chose the name GOD because I play the best tunes,the "god"head of music!(and also so the people of the world would no longer have to worship "false" gods!) On here I play classic punk stuff as well as what was then current alternative and punk music,wih some dub and rap mixed in.Always a surprise,this is before I got my M.C. , Doug Shannon,who worked as a d.j. at the local oldies station,and made tapes of liners and drops ,for use between songs I played on the air.No track list,but I will tell you what's playing,if you listen!Tell me you love it,and I'll post more! I've got tons of 'em!

FORGIVE US FATHER,FOR WE KNOW NOT WHAT WE DO -Compilation

A compilation of solo artists,years in the making,an experiment of mine,wherein I got people who had no prior knowledge of how to play an instrument or sing,into the studio,hooked them up,and let them go.I produced this thing,but the folks on here did everything else themselves.The ratio is 60/40,in favor of adults,but the kids on here rule!My kids are here,and kids of friends.Ralph Tarantino,and Doug Shannon both clocked in for a track each,and Mr.Lee is here too!I only wish I had recorded these 2 brothers I met,who,though both deaf,could feel the vibrations from the amps as they jammed guitars,that was something I'll never forget,and wish everyone could have heard.but here it is ,all non-musicians making music.Leave comments you fucks!Thanks!
