Canvas

My recent canvas, size 40x40cm

I got an idea after seeing a program on television about a Norwegian Painter.
Not that he had done something like mine, it was just something I saw in one of his paintings that I wanted to stretch a bit and make it mine.

So here is bright colors and lines.

I was really happy when it was finished, the painting made me really happy, love the bright colors and the contrasts by the acrylic paint .

Canvas

As you probably saw from my last post I'm practicing something new to me - drawing faces.

I don't want to draw a perfect face, I want to make funny faces.

Still practicing..... now on canvas size 30x30m

Hold on - canvas

Last week I went to a workshop here in our city.
A workshop with Golden Artist Colors.
I love these Golden products, full quality paint and art mediums.

We got to try different acrylic paints like the heavy body, fluid and iridescent and mediums like clear polymer (used as basecoat), glass bead gel and clear granular gel on a canvas.

I used the products on my canvas without any kind of meaning, just wanted to try them out, how they reacted with each other.

When I came home, I started to add some more paint, using my new Art Anthology stencils.
Also added an image from a magazine.
I used Triton acrylic paint marker for the letters (white).
Stabilo all magic pencil and white Golden fluid acrylic was used to outline the magazine image.

Wow, I really loved how it turned out!

Imagine - Canvas

Here is a Canvas I made, published in Ett Trykk in August.

I really loved how the colors worked out here, the hint of orange and all the blue(s)

Lots of stamps, paint by Golden, Gesso, Distress paint by Tim Holtz, India Ink, stencils and tissue paper.

I have used a chipboard by Blue Fern as a stencil to make the pattern which looks like a large frame underneath the paint.

Here you can see some of the Blue Fern chipboard frame which I used as a stencil togehter with Gesso:

Beauty - Canvas for Art Anthology

Today I have a small canvas to show you with products by Art Anthology

On this I have used Colorations , watermelon, studio blue (love it), peacock feathers (adore it) and paprika. Also used some Sorbet – black leather jacket.
I started with gesso and used a comb to get the pattern. Loved how the colorations reacted with gesso and the structur.

I hade no goal at all with this canvas, but in the end I saw a “figure” in it, looked a bit like a horse.
So I used a magic pencil (stabilo) to make som lines/contour around the “horse”.
Even made an eye with some of the black leather jacket sorbet, mixed with water.

Well…my imaginary horse has three legs in front…. maybe it’s not a horse at all.

Do you see my “beauty”?

Love art - canvas

We are in the month of love, people all over the world celebrates Valentine ♥

Here is a small canvas made for Art Anthology with Sorbets and Colorations.

If you want to see how this canvas was made just jump over to Art Anthology blog and see the procedure from start to finish.
