Lets rock, lets roll - Once Upon a Sketch

Here is a layout I made for the challenge at Once Upon a Sketch with the theme : "Inspiration/I am inspired by etc..." and with this sketch:

My inspiration: the girls on this photo. Scrapping friends, Lene Neby, Linda Brun, Brit Sviggum and myself (on the floor) having a fun photoshoot at a crop last year. Three very creative ladies and I'm so happy they are my friends!

Bold and beautiful - Once Upon a Sketch June challenge

Today I have a layout to show you, made for the June challenge at Once Upon a Sketch.

Just loved the theme and sketch!!

The photo is our oldest daughter, soon to go to her seremony when she had her confirmation two years ago.
She was so thoughtful and beautiful.
The journaling is about my hopes for her future, there is also more journaling under the photo, on the back side of the tag you can see on the right side of the photo.

I have used Colorations by Art Anthology here, and also some Distress stain, stamps and tape. The flowers are also colored with the same spray as the background.

Memories - DT Art Anthology

Hi there, hope you all are having a good time!
Now holiday season is over for my part, back to work and lots of work!
But I always find some time for scrapping, it might not be finished the same day, but that's OK, especially when I use a lot of medium.
Like the layout I want to show you today featuring Art Anthology
. Packed with different medium, colorations, velvet, sorbet.

I also want to show you how my layout started out.
Everytime I make a layout I plan to do a "step-by-step", but most of the time I forget to photograph every detail.
Like this one.
Well, it started with a plain white bazzill. (you probably won't see the white in the end LOL) Some modelling paste and stencil:

Some coloration mist, in two different pink IMG_2150

Some more colorations, now turquoise, and also a brown together with a stencilIMG_2151

Here is the point that creativity took over and I totally forgot to photograph, so the rest of the photos are the finished project.

Some details of course

I used Sorbet in the color Viridian on the chipboards:

Here you see more of the chipboards and the Sorbet - Viridian.
On the resist canvas I used both Coloration - Sangria and some Sorbet - Viridian IMG_2219

The photo on this layout is my Grandfather and Grandmother, long time ago. When I saw the challenge on Once Upon a Sketch I knew I had to use this photo!
Sadly they are both dead, miss them so much both of them.
Have so many good memories from holidays at their little farm, just outside my hometown.
My Grandfather had several bee-hives and were very clever with his hands. He even knitted!!
In his youth he went to USA and worked with tractors and other agricultural machines before he settled down with my Grandmother at their small farm.
The last 15 years of his live my Grandmother took care of both him and the farm as he mainly was in bed, sick with astma and other problems with his lungs. She was a fantastic woman as well!
As you probably understand, I miss them so much but have tons of happy memories.

My journaling is on the right side and also at the bottom right part of the layout.

Nyttårsaften 2010 [once upon a ...sketch]

The photo is from my dinnertable, new years eve 2010. White, blue, silver and crystal - just love the colors and I love to decorate my dinnertable!
Note: the blue in my crystal-glasses are just water with a few drops of color. I also put some few white flowers into the water.

Mercedes Benz - Once upon a... Sketch

I knew right away which song I would use when I saw the journaling criteria at Once Upon a ....Sketch. One of my favorite songs are Mercedes Benz with Janis Joplin.
Here is my youngest daughter driving a ....yes... a Mercedes Benz.

This is a picture of myself as i little girl in my mom's garden. My mom just loved flowers and she had the most beatiful garden which I loved.
So because of the theme - flowers, I've gone a bit bananas with cutting out flowers from different pattern paper.

Pebbles
