February 15th 2025 sketch challenge

  Happy Saturday! The month is flying by and it's time for our mid-month sketch challenge!  As you know this year we are changing things up a bit and we kicked off 2025 with a new format!  We are now offering a new sketch just twice a month on the 1st and 5th, then on the 15th and 20th we are challenging you to create a layout or card using a throwback sketch!  We are also adding a "TWIST" challenge to all our sketches this year!  Each month we will have a "THEME" and each sketch will feature a "TWIST" based on that theme.

 This month's theme is: QUEEN OF HEARTS

We have four fun throwback sketches for you to choose from for today's challenge.  

Here are the sketches:

Our twist for this challenge is a HEART acrostic challenge: select one of the four sketches from the collage and use a scrappy item, technique, or theme for each letter in the word HEART.   Examples: H= heart or hexagon, E= edge distressing or embossing; A= anniversary, American Crafts, or aqua; R= red, rub ons or roller skating; T= tags, travel or turquoise.  You may use other things as well but at least one thing for each letter on your layout!

Tina used sketch #236 and the following items to spell out the word heart:  H - hearts, E - enamel dots, A - arrows, R - ribbon, T - Tan

TWIST: MIX IT UP- using the sketch create a layout with a mix of old and new by using one ore more papers that are over 3 years old on your layout with an embellishment that is new (a year old or less) OR use an embellishment over 3 years old and at least one or more papers that are new (a year old or less)
