Boho Love and Blessings

I had a chance to play in the TLC547 at SCS this morning!  The challenge was to use one word and a few embellishments.  I used the new Love die cut word from ODBD Faith Hope and Love set along with the new Boho Background die and the new Beautiful Boho Paper Collection.  I also used ODBD Ornate Hearts dies.  

I made this one for Word Art Wednesday 196.  The sentiment is from Boho Blessings and is cut out with ODBD Oval and Stitched Ovals.  I used the Boho Background dies and the Beautiful Boho Paper Collection.  I added the bow, the Fancy Fritillary butterfly die cut and a few sequins to finish the card!

Playing with new pretties from ODBD today!  This is for

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #179-A Family Friendly Challenge for All.

The new Layered Lacy Squares dies are so beautiful!  This sentiment is from the new set called How Sweet the Sound.  The pretty designer paper is from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  I added a pretty bow and some pearls to complete the card!

Poinsettia Gift Box and Card

Good morning friends!  Hope things are going well with you!  

I have a little quick and easy gift box and 3x3 gift card to share this morning!  So easy you can make it in no time for those last minute gifts or gift cards!  

I cut a piece of chipboard that I had saved from packaging to a 9x9 square.  Then I scored at three inches and six inches.  I turned the square a quarter turn and scored again at 3 and 6 inches.  Then I cut out the outside corners, folded up the sides, punched holes in the corner and threaded ribbon through to tie the sides together.  Then I decorated with beautiful paper from the ODBD Winter Paper Collection.  I added a lace border with ODBD Beautiful Borders.  Then a gorgeous white poinsettia cut with ODBD Peaceful Poinsettia dies.  New this month from ODBD, are the cute little Mini Tag Sentiments and Mini Tag dies.  You can see two of the different shaped tags in the photos.  

Next I made a matching 3x3 gift card!  I also did just a bit of white washing on the papers.  Not too much, just a tad.  You can add tissue paper or that crinkled paper gift bag stuff, fill it with goodies and enjoy the gift of giving!

A Season

Hi everybody!   Here is a card I made with the new God's Timing set from ODBD!  I am entering it to the Word Art Wednesday Challenge this week.  Go check it out because Our Daily Bread designs is sponsoring the challenge this week!  That means prizes y'all!  hehe!

I stamped the image and the scripture and then cut them out using the Circle Ornament Dies and the Matting Circles Dies.  The paper is from the Rustic Beauty Paper Collection.  Lots of distressing with ink to get that rustic look!

Like a Rose...

 Hi there!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  

I have a card to share today!  Woohoo!  This one is for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #135, to create a card with scripture or encouraging sentiment.  This is a new set called My Friend from ODBD!  I stamped it three times, colored and cut out each layer to build up the rose.  I used a stylus on the backside to get some texture.

Red and white is so striking, don't you think?  The background is the Daisy Chain Background Die over the red.  And the sentiment is stamped onto the Vintage Flourish Pattern center die over the largest Vintage Label Die.

On The Cross

I played in the Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast!  

I will also be entering this to the Word Art Wednesday challenge for this week!

 

  The beautiful papers are from the new Christian Faith Collection released this month from ODBD!  I distressed the edges of each piece.  The sentiment from The Cross set is stamped directly onto the designer paper.  I used two of the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders die cuts and finished off the front of the card with a pretty seam binding bow!

Here is another look where you can see I decorated the inside adding a pretty cross I cut out with the new Ornamental Crosses dies.

I have a couple of cards to share today featuring new ODBD stamps, dies and paper!  The card above features Heart of Joy along with the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts dies and the new Heart and Soul Paper Collection.  The sentiment is cut out with a die from the Custom Ornate Borders and Flowers Dies.  

 

 This card is a little 'cleaner' but I used the same banner concept.  

The sentiment is from the Love You Bunches set.

Bottle of Prayers

Last week I spent a few days with my Mom.  

We had a great time and I can't wait to go back!  But I left my camera!  

Oh no!!!  Believe it or not this photo was taken with my phone!  Not too bad!

I spent all weekend packing up Christmas decorations and now they are all put away 

so had a little creative time today!  Yay!  

The new Apothecary Bottles and Joy in a Jar sets are so beautiful!  I am enjoying playing with them!  I cut out the bottles from designer paper with the new Custom Apothecary Bottles dies.  I used copic markers to add the vintage shading to the bottles and the background layer too. You can't see it in the photo but I 'painted' stickles over the whole thing.  Sort of a dry brush technique. I used the Custom Antique Labels and Borders dies to emboss one of the bottles and to cut out the label for the other.

This and That...

  

Hello friends.   This has been a sad couple of months for us.  I posted in November that my sweet Daddy passed away.  And now, my Mother in Law has gone to be with Jesus too.  I have been her caregiver for the last two years.  She had Alzheimer's.  We were able to keep her in her own home until the end.  Her last moments were peaceful and for that I am thankful.  And I am also thankful she has her memory restored 

now!!!  Needless to say, our Thanksgiving and Christmas were pretty sad.  But with the Lord's help, we will make it through!  One day at a time!  

Now I want to get back on track.  Kelley and my DT sisters have been so good to me!  And Kelley said to take as long as I need but I have to get back to making cards!  It is therapy for me as I am sure many of you can understand!  So here is my last card for 2013!!!
