Be Joyful and a New Blog Candy Winner

Hi there!!!  Hope you all have had a great weekend!

I have another card to share using the new Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs!

This time I only used one of the sentiments but I did use some new Spellbinders I just received.  I have been wanting the Bitty Blossoms since they first came out and finally got them.  I need some more practice but I love how they turned out anyway!   I also used the new Scalloped Labels One!  This is such a pretty compliment to Labels One and I love it!  I used two sided designer paper in my scrap bin so I don't remember who makes it.  The red flowers are actually the backside of the background papers.  I sponged Antique Linen ink on all edges and embossing.  Here is a closer view:

And The Winner Is...

Good morning friends!!!  Hope you are having a great week!

I am announcing the winner of my blog candy today!!
Who is it?  Who is it?

First, I have a couple of cards to share today featuring the new Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs!  This is such a fun set!  With two lovely images and so many great sentiments, this is a must have for your stamp collection!

I rarely make yellow cards but somehow I just felt yellow would be perfect for this set!  I made a frame with the negative piece after cutting out a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square.  I colored the image with copics to match the card stock and added tiny green Zva pearls to their centers.  Then I made a pretty bow with my Becca Peg Bow Maker and added it to complete the card!  Oh and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the correct placement of the birthday sentiment!

This is being submitted to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week to make a birthday card and also to this week's Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

This next card is even more CAS!

I used the smaller of the images this time, coloring it with copics.  I stamped it again and cut out the flowers to add to the card to give it a little dimension.  I also added a little sparkly to the flower centers.  I stamped the sentiment 3 times in a haphazard way along side the image.  Then I added a tiny bow on the stem.  The embossed edges were done by embossing with a Spellbinders Square die.

And now, it's time for the announcement of the winner for my blog candy!!!

Drum Roll Please...

With the help of Random.org, the winning comment was submitted by:

A Little Blog Candy Just For You!

Hi there!!!  Happy Labor Day!!!

I have a card to share with you using one of the new sets released by ODBD this month!  It is the Scripture Series 3 set and there are several wonderful scriptures in the set that were submitted during our yearly Customer Contest!  You can read about this HERE and HERE!

The background designer paper is Prima and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder.  I used Spellbinders Ovals and Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles.  There is a piece of vintage lace under the seam binding.  I made the beautiful bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker seen HERE!  I love her Bow Maker!!!  I also added some pearl trim that was given to me by a sweet sweet DT sister!!  The little flowers were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  They are added along the pretty Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourishes.  I added more pearls to the flower centers to complete the card!

So... how would you like to win this card
and a little package of goodies from me to you?

All you have to do is leave me a comment below, and I will draw a winner Wednesday September 5th at 8pm, and announce it here on my blog on the 6th.  I will send this project and some specially selected favorite goodies to the winner!  You do not have to be a follower to win, but of course if you like my work and would like to follow me, I'd love to have you!  To follow,  just click on the "Follow Me" button on my side bar.

I am so excited about this because I appreciate all of you so much for your sweet words and encouragement!   Can't wait to see who wins!!!

I loved creating this card!  It was such a labor of love!
As my son commented the other day, this is the most uplifting sentence ever written!!!
I was going for the look of a much read Bible, with stained and tattered pages,
with favorite verses marked and with little flowers saved from a special occasion.

Here are the supplies I used to create my card:

SU! Eggplant Envy(retired), Chocolate Chip
Archivers green cardstock and Neenah Vanilla cardstock
Cuttlebug Victoria folder and  Vintage corners
Ribbon and pearls
Spellbinders Labels Seven
Spellbinders Grand Lace Border
Spellbinders Doodle Parts
Foam Tape
Copics
Cross Charm

You will not know where it is, but if your name is chosen and you have left a comment for the designers... you will win it!!! You won't know how many have candy each day... so be sure to visit them all and leave some love!

Winners of the individual blog candy will be announced by the blog owners who had the candy on the next day on their blogs. There will also be a big announcement on March 19th on the ODBD Blog recapping ALL the winners... the challenges, the blog candy, and the blog hop winners! So be sure to check back then!!!
