Let's Eat Some Cake

Been baking quite a bit in my kitchen lately.  I get into phases like this once in awhile where I love to cook or bake certain things at a time.  I quit baking for awhile now, but finally got back into trying to discover new techniques and frosting.

Here's what I made today:

Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Whipped Icing topped with Fresh Fruit

I love whipped iced cakes its so much lighter and not as sweet.  I don't really eat red velvet cake, but the friend insisted as she loves it so I made it for her.  Still working on getting the frosting and art work correctly but I think I'm heading the right way.

Strawberries!! Chocolate!!!

Its Strawberry season here in Florida at the moment, and I am definitely enjoying it to the fullest.  One thing I love about strawberries is how awesome it is with Chocolate. Since this month is February, I decided to make some Chocolate Dipped Strawberries to share with my friends and family.

 Yummy!

Very easy to make all you need is Strawberries and Melted Chocolate. You can add various toppings such as sprinkles, pearls, and toffee bits or you can just have it the original way. However you like/ Still delicious in the End.

Care For Some Spring Fresh Rolls?

One of my favorite Asian foods or snacks would be Spring Rolls or otherwise Fresh Rolls. Yes, there are different types of spring rolls out there with many types of fillings. I think I like almost all of them. The only ones I kind of dislike would be the ones with tons of veggie fillers and not enough meats or noodles. I'll probably still eat them anyways cause I like them that much.  All I need is my Peanut Sauce.

Here's a version that I love eating that my SIL made for us one day:
(sorry only one picture, should have taken more)

Ingredients:

Spring Roll wrapper
Egg Roll wrapper (rolled skinny and fried)
Chives
Deli Meat (we used ham and turkey)
Cilantro
Lettuce
(Any other fillers you would like, but we made it simple)

Peanut Sauce *I"ll have to share this one day*

This is a very simple recipe, no need for lots of cooking. The only labor part would deep frying the egg roll wrapper and assembling the spring roll together. However with lots of people helping, it doesn't take long to assemble them.  I just love to assemble and eat right away, that's my take on it.

The best part that I like of this version is the crunchy egg roll piece in the spring roll. Gives it awesome texture. Add some Peanut Sauce or Sweet Hoisin Sauce and you have a yummy snack to enjoy.

I want some now!

Strawberry Festival - Weekend Fun!

This is a belated post from the other weekend that I did not post up on blogger.  I took a week off just to relax and focus on other things other than makeup and blogging.  I have many more things to share and show, so I hope to keep this up and get motivated to blog.

Strawberry Festival = Yummy Food!

One thing about fairs and festivals is the fried foods that we get to indulge in just a few times a year.
Here you go!!

Funnel Cake
Fried Pickles
Bloomin Onion

And the reason why we go every year:
Strawberry Shortcake!

We had lots of fun. Just walked around, talked, looked at other people, laugh, sing, eat, and eat. Can't wait until next year to do it all over again.

End of the night:

Will be announcing my Giveaway Winner soon! Can't Wait!!

Dreaming of Closets

Lately I've been pretty busy with getting things ready for the home Mr H. and I will hopefully be getting soon.  One main aspect of a house I would consider is the Master Closet.  I currently have a small closet, not a walkin, full of items that are over flowing.  I needed a walkin closet, which the house we like does have and its a pretty good size.

I've done a bit of picture research of what items I would love to have in my closet.  If only I had a closet the size of a bedroom, I could totally do whatever I wanted, however I don't, so I can only dream of the most amazing closets I will never have.

Dreaming of Closets:

I'm in Love with this one below:

This will probably the closest I get to dream closet.

I actually like the last picture design because it looks just about the right size for the walkin closet in the house and it has many different aspect that I need for all my clothing and accessories.  Who wouldn't want a closet like Mariah Carey or Kimora Lee, I sure would love one, but then again I don't have that many items and I would not know how to organize everything. I know that I definitely want space for shoes, dresses, drawers, clothing accessories, and more space. Still looking at different alternatives and seeing what will be most logical and easiest for everyday life.

What would your DREAM CLOSET have?

Addicted!

Yes its been awhile since my last post! About a month.  I went on vacation with the Family and had loads of fun! Would love to do it again!  Not too happy about going back to work. : (

Well as the title states, yes I'm Addicted. Addicted to Korean Dramas! lol.  Actually I'm kind of late to watching this particular drama.  Its called "My Princess".  I guess you can say I like to watch movies and dramas when it is all out and ready to go, instead of having to wait weekly for a new one to come out!

I'm not quite done yet, but I just love the fairy tale story with all its drama in cased into it.  You can't help feel happy then sad then mad all at once.  These dramas they take over my life a weeks at a time, so yes they can get addicting.

Are you into Korean Dramas?

Just to throw a bit of beauty related blurb into this post, I do love how Korean ladies in the movies have minimal makeup yet they still look amazing.  It must be all the skincare and beauty prep that makes them look good.  Got secrets! Share with me!

I was so much into the dessert that by the time I got half way eating through it, I remembered to take a few pictures!..so much for a better dessert picture!  But you got the gist of it..hehe!  All the yummy yogurt is at the bottom which you can't see, but the best of the toppings are on top.

Hitting the Books
So with the new year here, that also means a new semester of school. ARRGH!! LOL. As much as I dislike leaving winter break and getting into the school routine, I know I must take the trials of college life and deal with it! 16 wks of school does not seem so long, but o man, it is long. Hitting those college books again is not a really nice thing to think about, it really just hurts my brain, but I guess if I have to pass the class, it is a must! So for the next few months, I usually tend to lagg on posts, but I will definitely try to keep up with blogger and all my blogger friends. Good luck with all who are going to school!
