Houses on a hill card

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I want to show you an easy colourful card with a nice message. I have used the Home sweet home dies designed by Craft Asylum for Sizzix and two more dies designed by Paula Pascual for Sizzix.

To make this beautiful card I have used the following supplies:

My Big Shot machineHome sweet home, Oval and Winter Borders dies, white cardstock,
kraft paper, some scrapbooking papers, lace ribbon, sparkly paper and watercolours.

First I have cut the cardstock 5 mm smaller than the kraft paper (the base of the card). Then
I have coloured the cardstock using blue watercolours like the sky.

Then I have die-cut the different sized houses and I have chosen the dark pink
for the windows and roofs.

As I want the houses to be on a hill I have decided to use a half of an oval die as the hill, die-cut
in a green flowered paper. (The magnet platform is very useful with this kind of dies)

Then I have all the die-cuts to create the card.

In the end I have decided to stamp this message “Que las estrellas iluminen tu camino” that in English would be similar to: “May the stars show you the way”.  I have added little stars that I have die-cut in sparkly white paper to highlight the message.

And finally this is the result:

Here are some details:

It's really fun to play with this dies !!!

Here is the hill !!!

Small stars on the sky !!!

I hope you have enjoyed this colourful and beautiful card. Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

¡Feliz y creativo viernes!

I reuse a jar of honey. I collect these jars and use them for all sorts of fun projects. Then I wash them out and sterilize them in the dishwasher. I also usually paint the lids white. Fill the jars with some Easter candy and embellish with paper and die cut your favorite design. I used Love Bird and Woodland Flower dies design by Craft Asylum.
This is the Easter card I made, using a few of the papers and the Fanciful Fairy die design by Pete.

Per le amiche italiane! :)

Buon venerdì a tutti,

Buona Pasqua!!!

"Home" altered frame by Anna

Hello Sizzix Fans, Anna here. I have this nice home decor item to share with you today. I created a frame picture, using the “Craft Asylum” dies.

To create this project, I started by a frame for really cheap.
Preparing Your Frame: once you have purchased your frame, remove the packaging, glass and mat from the frame. When creating a decorated frame mat it usually ends up quite dimensional so I do not use the glass in the frame.
To create the background: cut the mat from cardstock and cover with old book sheet. Paint with white acrylic paint.
Apply a strip of patterned paper and write "home" with stickers.
Use three dies by Craft Asylum collection and cut out: 2x leafy twig, 3x small houses, 1x small heart. Assemble the houses.
Adhere the leafy twigs and the houses. Use foam tape to give select shapes dimension.
Print the quote and add. Apply the heart. Tie on twine.
Insert the decorate mat and embellish with sequins.

So simple, so pretty and chic!

Thank you so much for stopping by

Per le amiche italiane! :)

Molto semplice e piuttosto chic!

A presto

Miss Lilou

Hello everybody,

For our weekly gathering, I wanted to show you a page of scrap made with a picture of my first daughter. This was taken last summer... I fancied a bit of sun!

That's why I chose warm and joyful colours, like yellow and fuchsia, that I contrasted with darker colours such as black and green.

For the technique, I centred my layout with 2 strips of papers and masking tape at the top and bottom of my work.

I centred the rest on a rectangle paper in the middle of my background page. I emphasized my black and white picture with a cardboard piece.

I wanted to play with the volumes, using embellishments such as the badge, the metal claw and the buttons.

Also the cutting shape of the "knot" die gave the same effect of volume.
I chose to put my daughter's name as a title, using Alphanumeric dies... perfect for writing what we want!

I decorated with a pretty banner of pennants realized with thread, 2 brads and cuttings of the "Speech Bubbles" die.

I hope this page will have inspired you!
