Voucher Box for Mother´s Day - spend some time together

Hello everybody,
last weekend I (Julia) gave my mom and my mother-in-law a box with a voucher. But let me tell you what products you need to make it, before I will tell you more.

List of supplies:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit #660515
Sizzix Bigz Die - Mariposa #658530
Cardstock in Grey and Pink, Twine

My mom is a crafter too. She always works on a project by herself, I think this is something I got from her. ;) My mother-in-law loves my handmade projects and I always have to explain how I have made them, but she would never think about buying crafting supplies and make some pretty things by herself. For mother´s day I wanted to give them something special, so I have decided to create a voucher for a day in my crafting studio, to make some cards! :) The hidden agenda was to spend some time together and having fun. I can tell you, both were really happy about it and we can´t wait for our crafting date! :)

This is how the Voucher looks like. For this gift I mainly used the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit, it includes everything you need: Embossing Folder in DIN A4 with dots, dies for the box, tags and little leaves (you can see on the last tag). In addition I used my Mariposa Bigz Die.

What did you gave your mother for mother´s day? I´m curious. :)
Have a nice day and happy crafting! xo Julia

-------------------------------------------------

Was habt ihr euren Müttern zum Muttertag geschenkt? Ich bin neugierig. :)
Habt einen tollen Tag, xo Julia

"Mom" by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix friends!

Today I would love to share with you an altered piece of
corrugated cardboard.
I used the FREE FLORAL PAPER DOWNLOADS
and of course combined them with  Sizzix dies.

For this fun project I used a piece of folded corrugated
cardboard which was used to divide bottles in a box.
Its sizes are approx. 31cm x 14cm. I added another piece of
corrugated cardboard (11.5cm x 13cm) which I used for
the photo. I treated all edges with gesso.
How 1
Before adhering the Floral Papers I used sand paper
to distress the edges.
How 2

One of my favourite butterflies (from Starter Kit) was decorated
with one of the flowers from FLORAL PAPER DOWNLOADS.

All paper flowers were fussy cut from the FLORAL PAPER DOWNLOADS.

A Vintage Dresden Table Topper to celebrate Mother´s Day

Hi everyone! Today I come with  a project for Mother´s Day! Mine will visit in some days and I have done a nice Dresden table topper to give color to her house in spring.
I got the super big dresden die sometime ago from Sizzix and I hadn ´t had the opportunity to use yet.

Of course I used the new Big Shot Plus to cut out all the pieces, 20 in total .This die fit perfectly with the big machine and I ´m more than happy to enjoy  my new toy especially with this long die that it 10" long.

Sew the up side  in chain  and press as you see in the pics doing the points.

Sew all the petals.

Iron some fusible web on the wrong side for  the circle  and cut  out the big circle with Sizzix Bigz L die - circles 2",3" & 4".Make a decorative stitch like blanket stitch. Lay on the background fabric, right faces together ,pin and sew all around leaving something withough stitches to turn it  out later.

Cut out the excess and make a cut for a clean finishing.

Now you only need to turn it out , sew with hidden stitches by hand , iron  carefully and you have done a nice table topper.

If you want to know how  I made the cover for my planner with the hexagons just read this post.

Hope you enjoy your Day if you are a mummy like me and course give love to   yours everyday!
Happy Mother´s Day !!
Love
Mercedes

...............................................................****************................................................................

A cute milk carton for mom

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I show you the cute milk box I have prepared for Mother’s Day. A beautiful simple milk box with a clean decoration is enough to say how much you love your mom and to give her a little present.

To make this lovely box I have used the milk carton die and the following supplies: a scrapbook paper, a sparkly adhesive piece of paper, a ribbon to match your box and a wire to curve the word or the name.

Here is a detail of the heart and the word created with the wire:

This lovely heart is one of the dies included in the Big Shot Plus Kit.

And here are some images of the milk box for my mom:

This type of box is perfect as a gift box for a handmade ring or other pieces of jewellery. But it is also perfect to be used as a party favour.

I have used the following Sizzix products:

I hope you have enjoyed this cute box I've made for my mom. Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

A "Mother's Day" Card by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!

Did you check our Free New Baby Paper Downloads?
They are so adorable and cute! And, yes, they are especially
designed for new-borns....but today I used the softness
they radiate to create a sweet card for Mother's Day.

Card size: 15cm x 15cm
I chose two different patterns for the background.
Then decorated the card with different embellishments which
I cut out from the embellishment sheet - heart border, letters, 3 circles.
N.B. I made my own banner from the heart border. I simply
cut out small triangles in both ends of the border.

in the middle of one of the round shapes.
The other Decorative Trim #2 I used to decorate the heart banner.

I found in my stash some matching pattern papers and used as add-ons.
Added a matching button as well for more cuteness :-)

"A Smile for Mom" by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!

Maybe you have already guessed (by the title!) that my
blog post today is dedicated to my mom. Living far away from
my mom is not only hard for me but also hard for my mom.
That's why I love sending her photos - and of course, some of
the photos are scrapped like this one today.
Perfect present for Mother's Day!
I chose my favourite "scrap" canvas which is A4 size and
perfectly matching the Sizzix Big Shot Plus machine.

I die cut a few times both of these Decorative Bubbles
using different papers. Then I began mixing them and
creating embellishments for my photo.

The big flower was created by using both sizes Bigz Die flowers included
in the Starter Kit - I die cut them so many times until the flower looked "full".
For the centre I hand made the rose by using one of the old dies (558504 Rose 3D)
I added a bit of Stickles.

Super Simple Mother's Day Card

I am a big fan of card designs that take a few minutes and minimal supplies. Next weekend in the UK it is Mother's Day so I thought I'd share a quick make for a card you could give your Mum.

I used white card stock, scrapbooking paper, corner punch, heart punch, glue and letter stickers.

Paper punches are one of my favourite craft supplies! A tip for sharpening your punches is to punch some aluminium foil every now and again.

The design on the front of the card can be laid out however you wish. I used the letter stickers to spell out MUM and arranged the heart punched paper above.

Use the corner punch to round the edges of the card.

You can use any colour combinations for this simple card and the best thing is, it only takes a few minutes to make!

Happy Crafting!

Claire
