Hello!
Thursday, here we
come with an ethnic-style creation! This lay-out has been realized
with scraps from my latest mini book on the same ethnic theme. I also
realized 3 cards.

I started by
selecting three tiny pictures which are very representative of my
stay in Africa.
The background has
been partially built with Crate Paper pattern paper pieces.
Some
splashes and stamp prints are added to wrap up the whole. They are
printed with black ink for a maximum of contrast.
The words “hello”
& “Love” are cut out of white cardstock.
I had fun creating a
frieze with the Speech Bubbles die. I cut little triangles out of
pattern paper, cardstock and glitter paper. The shapes are sewn with
white thread with a sewing machine, not glued, to add some texture
and volume.
I wanted to keep
this ethnic atmosphere when I created these 3 little cards: a gold
triangle, masking tape and a small leave cut out of white paper. This
pretty die is to be found in the Big Shot Plus kit!
Then the tiny
accents are sewn :-)

J'ai tout d'abord
sélectionné trois mini photos bien représentatives de mon séjour
en Afrique.
Le fond de page est
particiellement reconstitué de petits morceaux de papiers imprimés
Crate Paper. Quelques éclaboussures et tampons viennet habiller
l'ensemble. Pour un maximum de contrastes ils sont imprimés à
l'encre Versafine noire.
Les mots “hello”
et “Love” sont découpés dans du cardstock blanc.
A l'aide du die
Speech Bubbles, je me suis amusée à créer une frise en découpant
des petits triangles dans du papier imprimé, du cardstock et de
l'imprimé paillette. Pour ajouter une touche de texture et de
relief, les formes ne sont pas collées mais cousues à la machine de
fil blanc.
