Creativeworld recap

As you probably know by now, last week a group of us went to Paperworld as Sizzix had a stand in the Creativeworld section. I flew on Wednesday and did not come back till Tuesday very late. It was really exhausting, but all in all a great experience.

The stand look great as usual.
The machines centre display was clever and a great focal point. And look, for the first time one of my collections was in display. Actually there were two, Fresh Moments (which is available now)and Winter moments (which you can see on the right side of the left photo). It was a very special moment to see the dies and display up.
I was really happy to be demoing for one of our UK distributors, Personal Impressions, which is a company really close to my heart. I had a blast in no small measure because I was beside the fantastic Dyan Reaveley. Such a fun and inspirational woman.

One great thing about trade shows is that we get to meet different companies, and since I love paper getting to know the people at Garza Papel (amazing 100% cotton paper) or the guys at St Cubherts Mill was great! Specially the samples I got to take home.

Mr Pete Hughes was demoing at the Rayher stand, one of our distributors. You know, he is a big hit there, with crowds gathered around him all day long!

And behind Pete there was this lovely display made by the Rayher in house design team which was made entirely using dies from my Everyday collection, the Butterflies and Scallop Flowers. Seeing that was really surreal as I did not expected at all!
And the super talented and incredibly nice and funny Anna was demoing at our Sizzix Stand. I stalked her like crazy!

Can you spot the new look of the Big Shot? Such a pretty machine. And the comes with a completely different set of dies exclusive to the starter kit, which you are going to love if you like Everyday.

What I have been up to

By Paula Pascual
Well, since Stitches I have been demonstrating at two other shows, one consumer one in Vicenza, Italy, and the other one was a trade one in Lisbon, Portugal. I thoroughly enjoyed both even though they were very different.
It was very nice to hear and see what Sizzix is for other people in Europe, how they use it and what they use it for.

This was my table at the Italian show. I used some of Pete's and Angela's lovely projects from Stitches. I just love that Happi blanket.

These are some of the projects I made while demonstrating in Portugal. The one above is using Tim Holtz envelope die and Teresa Collins papers.

This one is done using my all time most used die, Tim Holtz Tag and bookplate die and Pete Hughes Ironwork Frame.

Ines, a patchwork and quilting expert from Oeiras (Portugal), was also there showing how well the Sizzix quilting dies work. Above, Ines is showcasing the template that she is going to follow using die cut pieces of fabric.

And this is Ines with the sewn piece of patchwork. Really neat and ever so fast! I came back really excited about this Sizzix new line of Quilting dies. I can't wait to start sewing!

Stitches 2012, part 2

 By Paula Pascual

As promised part two of Stitches 2012 Sizzix Booth. I am only sharing the areas I worked on, but hopefully Pete will be sharing soon the areas he work on, which are the really cool ones!

Hero Arts collection, sets of red rubber stamps and Framelits, any stamper knows of Hero Arts and the match with Sizzix makes them a must for every crafter.

Greetings, a collection perfect for some one who likes to make cards, mini albums and delicate projects. This collection has Bigz and Sizzlits dies and absolutely gorgeous Textured impressions folders.

Sweet treats, the sweetest collection I worked on for sure, specially when I had to buy all those sweets to fill up glass jars. Besides, as Eileen Hull dies most of them are Bigz ScoreBoards which means that they word really well with chipboard and mount board.

And I could not finish my Stitches 2012 round up without sharing this photo of the Christmas Club:

Steve (the carpenter/builder/handyman who made all the units for the Stitches booth),
Paula (little old me) and Pete Hugues

You may wonder why it is the Christmas Club, well, as some of you may know Pete was born on Christmas day, so was Steve and so was I, although different years may I add. Incredible coincidence still, don't you think?

Stitches 2012!

 By Paula Pascual

One of my favourite events out of the crafting year is Stitches, the UK and EU trade show. It is such a buzz! It takes a lot of work and whole team to put together, Pete and I just make the samples, but I think I can say that we had such a blast doing them. Besides, I got to meet our fellow blog designer the lovely Paivi.
Here you have some show photos of the areas that I work on:
