Shabby, dimensional tag - with Sizzix Thinlits and Framelits

Hi, It's great to see you here again!
How about a small but nice project today? I have to admit that cards are not my favorite projects - I think I'm far better at other things such as layouts, journal pages or ...tags:) And today I'm willing to share one of my new tags with you - I hope you will enjoy!

I really like the tag shape - and with Sizzix Framelits you can cut out tags of all sizes you need without a problem. Yo don't have any manila tags left? Just cut out a tag shape from thick white cardstock or watercolor paper and play! That's how my grungy-shabby gift tag came to life too!

As you can see - I used the Framelits set of tag dies not only to create a base, but also patterned papers which I layered on the base to create dimensional composition. Other cut-out elements were doilies and a circle. I inked all of the paper elements on the edges with Stormy Sky and Walnut Stain Distress Ink and layered one on another using 3D Foam Squares. The final touches were some paper flowers, metal embellishments, thread and Liquid Pearls.

Here is the full list of the dies used for this tag:
- 658611 - Sizzix Framelits Die Set 9PK - Tags #2
- 659109 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - For the Record 2, Documented

All the papers I used are new, coming releases of my products with Prima Marketing -  Vintage Vanity A4 Journaling pad. Metal embellishments are my Mechanicals and Junkyard Findings, flowers are small roses - all from Prima.  It was finished using a bit of Ranger Distress Inks and Liquid Pearls.  For sticking the elements and dimension I used products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Power Tape.

I wish you all a beautiful weekend!

Vintage style wedding card

Hi, It's great to see you here again! :)
Summer is traditionally a wedding season, so it is not a surprise I'm attending a wedding this weekend. Of course - this special day needs a special card.. I'm not a fan of clean, elegant ones, so I've made my version of more grungy-shabby card for my cousin and his wife-to-be:) I hope thy will like it!

As you can see there are many layers, but not so much mixed media work this time! I decided to try a bit more "shabby" look - almost no spray, but a lot of fabric, paper, thread... feminine, but not too girly. Vintage, but not too elegant.
The whole project is based on 3 layers of paper - as a base, some canvas and lace strips on the top of them - and finally - dimensional composition in the middle, build with 3 Sizzix cut-outs supported with vintage trinkets, pearl swirls, thread and paper flower.

For this project I used Sizzix dies listed below:
- 658604 - Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles #2
- 659109 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - For the Record 2, Documented

All the papers and canvas are new, coming releases of my products with Prima Marketing -  Vintage Vanity and Elementals. Metal embellishments are from my last collection - Mechanicals. The project was finished using a bit of Ranger Distress Ink and Liquid Pearls. For sticking the elements and dimension I used products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Power Tape.

Thank you for stopping by! Seed you soon!

Shabby Chic cards "light" with Janna Werner.

Hello there, this is Janna with two Shabby Chic cards. Well, actually you could say it is a Shabby Chic "light" style, have a look by yourself :)

Material list:
655268 Sizzix Big Shot machine
657691 Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves
658613 Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle
657846 Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders - Bubble & Honey Comb
blank card: Tchibo
patterned paper, cardstock, brads, vellum, twine, rhinestones, doily: Stampin´ Up
tags: Ranger Ink
other: sewing machine, white thread

I love Shabby Chic, but I also love minimalism - it is always a challenge to create a card with scraps and to not add too many elements. If you have a close look you will see, that I used the same supplies on both cards, but I also used scraps. The heart on this card was cut with the Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves. I used the negative on the other card. Same with the circles that I cut with the Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle, you´ll find them on both cards.

I arranged the elements slightly different on both cards and used the honeycomb embossing die on one, the bubble wrap embossing die on the other card, both belong to the Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders - Bubble & Honey Comb set. Instead of embossing the paper, I used vellum, great effect!

You know, I love my sewing machine. It is a super easy way to add the Shabby touch to a project. Furthermore you can adhere the elements without using glue.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great and crafty day, everyone!

*****

Hallo ihr Lieben, hier ist Janna mit zwei Shabby Chic Karten. Eigentlich könnte man diesen Stil eher Shabby Chic "light" nennen, seht selbst :)

Materialliste:
655268 Sizzix Big Shot machine
657691 Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves
658613 Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle
657846 Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders - Bubble & Honey Comb
Kartenrohling: Tchibo
Patterned Paper,Cardstock, Brads, Vellum, Twine, Rhinestones, Doily: Stampin´ Up
Tags: Ranger Ink

Ich habe ebenfalls Scraps, also Reste, benutzt.
