Urban mini book by Karine

Hey!

Here is my latest “Travel” mini book realized with primary colours with the superb paper collection Atlas from Pink Paislee.

Supply list:

Papers: Pink Paislee
Cardstocks, mechanism, corners: Ephéméria
Stickers: Pebbles, Pink Paislee, Jenni Bowlin Studio
Alphabets: Pebbles
Stamps: Craft Origine, Stampers Anonymous, Florilèges Design, Aladine
Inks: Versafine, Studio Calico

Dies:

650515 :  Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 :  Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 :  Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting
655128 :  Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 7Dies-Serif Essentials
656616 :  Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 2 Dies-Serif Essentials numbers

What’s best for a townly mini book than the Sizzix triangle shapes dies? This is a set I don’t grow tired of! I used it for my graphic Mint page last week and now here are these little triangles cut out of pattern papers and cardstock. They are used as a common thread in my album.

I also set my heart on the big alphabet letters and numbers! They are cut out of black plain paper for more contrast.

The letters NYC are glued with 3D black foam to add some volume. They will be decorated with embellishments.

Time for pictures of the pages realized with these fantastic dies!

Have a nice day,

Karine

Bonjour !

Papiers : Pink Paislee
Cardstocks, mécanisme, angles : Ephéméria
Stickers : Pebbles, Pink Paislee, Jenni Bowlin Studio
Alphabets : Pebbles
Tampons : Craft Origine, Stampers Anonymous, Florilèges Design, Aladine
Encres : Versafine, Studio Calico

Dies :

650515 :  Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 :  Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 :  Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting
655128 :  Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 7Dies-Serif Essentials
656616 :  Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 2 Dies-Serif Essentials numbers

Karine

A little bird......

Another week another great collection from Brenda Walton.

This week we are looking at a Thinlits set called Birdcage which comprises the eponymous cage and a couple of gorgeous bird dies.

I come from an Illustration/cartoon background and my real strength is in my draughtsmanship. I spent the first 18 years of my life sat cross-legged on the floor with a pencil and a pile of paper, I can still sit like this for hours but nowadays it takes me a while to get back up after!

As the result of my background, great draughtsmanship really stands out for me and Brenda's dies never disappoint on this score. They are always sleek, elegant and well balanced which makes me very happy.

I have die-cut half of the cage from light grey card and the birds from white card (aren't they great?)

Next, I rolled out some white chalky finish paint with a brayer and applied to the die-cut cage, I deliberately left it patchy so not too much paint! Once it was dry I used some text stamps to add a little detail.

I applied some aqua coloured acrylic to both birds with my brayer followed by a little grey. Next, I applied a little green paint using a foam applicator before adding stamped detail using grey ink.

I chose a phrase which I typed into my PC before printing out. I then trimmed the phrase into three separate lines before applying a little Distress Ink. Next, I stamped the large body of text onto my white base card using the grey ink again.
Here is the finished card all assembled and that should be that..... but I got a little carried away!

I had to make another quick card so I cut a stencil using the splatter die from the Thinlits Scribbles & Splat Set by Tim Holtz. I placed the stencil onto a white base card and used Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Ink applied with a foam applicator. While the stencil was still in place I flicked some water onto the image before dabbing with a clean tissue.

I applied the 'Thank you' stamp (Darkroom Door) with black ink and added some extra stamped detail before die cutting the bird from black card.

It's simple but I like it and that wraps up this week...... Oh! shall we do one more?

I cut a rectangle of wood effect patterned card and used a craft knife to give the appearance of miss-matched planks before applying dark Distress Ink to the edges.

I die-cut the bird from grey patterned card and die-cut a circle aperture into the card using one of my beloved circle Framelits. I then cut a rectangle of the grey patterned card and rounded off the corner with a punch before applying Distress Ink around the edges and stamping the legend 'Home Sweet Home' using dark grey ink.

Bit of Distress Ink around the edges of the bird to add a little contrast and layer it all up using adhesive foam pads.... Simple!

Love this set in case you hadn't guessed!

Be happy and enjoy set

Hi Sizzix friends!

It’s Friday again so Raquel is here. The project I want to show you today is a smart set that consists in a card and an open box to keep some sweets inside. Let me show this cute set...

To create this set I’ve used my Big Shot Plus and the starter kit, the trellis embossing folder, the Be happy die, the leaf die and the ticket Framelit. I have chosen neutral colours for this set that it could be perfect for a man as for woman.

The box:

This open box was perfect to create a beautiful package that keeps the sweets inside a burlap bag. To decorate the box I’ve die-cut a ticket label, stamped a positive message and added a die-cut leaf.

Here are some steps of the process:

I’ve die-cut the box, but not the cover, in dark brown. Then I’ve die-cut the ticket label and the leaf, cut the corrugated cardstock -5mm smaller than each face of the box and then I’ve glued all the parts together.

The card:

I’ve modified the order of the colours but I’ve used the same dies to create the set.

I’ve used the trellis embossing folder to create this beautiful background, I’ve die-cut the ticket label and die-cut also the Be happy on it. As I wanted to use the same elements as in the box, I’ve also die-cut the leaves in white colour.

I love this neutral colour combination that gives to the set a smart result.

I have used the following Sizzix products:

I hope you liked this cute set and that it has given you a bit of inspiration. Thank you for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

Feliz y creativo viernes.

Mint layout by Karine

Hello!

Here I am today to show you a fresh lay-out realized last week-end for EntreArtistes with the latest collection from 4heures37! The newest 2 collections, Autumn & Winter, are mixed in my project which proves they can be adapted to every season!

Supply list:

Papers: 4heures37
Cardstock: Ephéméria
Alphabets: Webster's Pages
Embellishments: Ephéméria
Labels: 4heures37
Stencil: The Crafter's Workshops
Ink: Distress Ink Evergreen Bough
Stamp: Florilèges Design
Grey Versafine ink
Others: Stabilo Pen68, Woody
3D foam

Dies:

650515 :  Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 :  Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 :  Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting

This is a page I particularly like with my favorite colours of the moment! It is very easy to realize thanks to the triangle dies by Sizzix!

Start by cutting 3 pictures. Do not hesitate to create unusual framings. Get rid of the superfluous and go directly to the point!
Use several die shapes with different pattern papers and cardstocks. Then put your shapes on white cardstock which has been previously stamped on with a stamp “definition de l’été” (a summer definition).

Superimpose your shapes; glue some of them with 3D foam for more volume.

Then cut small foliage shapes & nice trees out of your 4heures37 pattern papers. Decorate with labels and here you are! Finish by making some splashes with your Stabilo Pen68 felt-tip pens.

Time for pictures now dring the class ! Thanks to my creative students !

Karine

Bonjour !

Papiers : 4heures37
Cardstock : Ephéméria
Alphabets : Webster's Pages
Embellissements : Ephéméria
Etiquettes : 4heures37
Pochoir : The Crafter's Workshops
Encre : Distress Ink Evergreen Bough
Tampon : Florilèges Design
Versafine grise
Divers : Stabilo Pen68, Woody
Mousse 3D

Dies :

650515 :  Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 :  Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 :  Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting

Neon layout by Karine

Hello!

Are you up to a touch of neon to start October under the sign of color and good mood? I dived back with pleasure into my Neon kit which I used for a project I showed you last month :-)

Supply list:

Papers: Custom & Craft
Cardstock: American Crafts
Stickers: American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Custom & Craft
Labels, dots: Ephéméria
Masking Tape: Hema
Izink: Aladine
Stabilo Pen68

Dies:

650515 : Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 : Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 : Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting
655128 : Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 7Dies-Serif Essentials

For this page I wanted to keep the atmosphere of the Custom & Craft papers, adding a touch of neon with Izink inks and the labels from Ephéméria!

I started by gluing my picture, stickers all around the picture and adding color with Izink inks and Stabilo Pen68 felt-tip pens. The stage is now set.

I cut small triangles out of paper scraps with my super die “Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting”!!!! I love this new product and you shall find it on lots of my future creations!

And with the marvelous Alphabet die, I cut a “&” shape.

Then I added some splashes and some neon touches here and there to add some volume!

Time for pictures now!

Have a lovely day!

Karine

Bonjour !

Papiers : Custom&Crafts
Cardstock : American Crafts
Stickers : American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Custom&Craft
Etiquettes, pastilles : Ephéméria
Masking Tape : Hema
Izink : Aladine
Stabilo Pen68

Dies :

650515 : Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit
660320 : Sizzix Accessory -Precision Base Plate for intricate Thinlits Dies
660837 : Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 10PK-bunting
655128Sizzix Bigz Alphabet Set 7Dies-Serif Essentials

Karine
