Romantic gift box and gift tag

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to show you a little gift box in a very romantic style.

• Card: Kraft, pink, cream, green
• Ribbon
• adhesive pearl

To make the gift tag I have die cut two sixes of the scallop circle in two different card colours and have glued them together. Then I have rolled the rose and adhered to the middle of the tag, punched the two leaves and glued them behind the rose. This gives a very romantic look to the box but clean and modern at the same time.

Hoy os enseño una caja y tag de regalo con una aspecto romántico pero muy actual. 

Para hacer el tag, he troquelado los dos círculos de galleta en dos colores diferentes y los he pegado entre ellos. Después he enrollado la rosa y la he pegado en el centro, después he troquelado las dos hojas y las he pegado debajo.

Sizzix in Creativa Madrid

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

The past week was the Creativa craft fair in Madrid and I was there teaching some workshops for Carrotcake Scrap and Friends and demoing the Big Shot Plus for Manos Maravillosas.

Today I want to show you the dies I used in some of my projects, that everybody loved.

In my Hello Life Project I used the Big Shot Plus Starter Kit, the Friendship Words by Tim Holtz and the Block Talk XL Bigz Die.

 In my Technique Workshop I used thearts, the Big Butterfly punch by Tim Holtz and the Word Play Alphabet Die.

Esta pasada semana estuve en Madrid en la feria Creativa dando algunos talleres para Carrotcake Scrap & Friends y haciendo demos en el stand de Manos Maravillosas. Aquí os dejo algunos de los trabajos que estuve enseñando utilizando los estupendos troqueles y Big Shot Plus de Sizzix. En la última foto me podéis ver demostrando en el Stand de Manos Maravillosas.

One card, two looks

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to show you one card design you can make two ways juts bu using the positive and the negative space of your dies.

Supply list:

• 660020 Sizzix Big Shot Plus
• 660033 Sizzix Bigz Die - Prancing Deer
• Card: Kraft
• Pattern paper
• White and black gel pen
• Distress Glitter
• Distress Embossing powder Sticky
• Embossing Ink
• Sentiment Stamp
• Black Ink
• Adhesive pearls
• Adhesive

To make my first card I have die cut the reindeer and covered it with gold glitter using some sticky embossing powder and Distress Glitter. Then I have adhered it to some pattern paper and stamped my sentiment on top.

Then, I have realised that I could make the same card just by using the leftover piece of card that i had from die cutting the reindeer, so I made exactly the same card by gluing some pattern paper behind the card, so I had tho cards using the same design and supplies.

Hoy os enseño un par de tarjetas hechas con el mismo diseño usando un troquel de dos maneras distintas.

Para hacer la primera tarjeta he troquelado el reno y lo he cubierto de  purpurina dorada con polvos de embossing pegajosos y Distress Glitter. Después lo he pegado sobre un poco de papel decorado y le he puesto el título de la tarjeta con un sello.

Después me he dado cuenta que podía hacer otra tarjeta igual simplemente utilizando el resto de cartulina de troquelar el reno, así que he hecho otra tarjeta pegando el papel decorado por detrás del espacio del reno, así que al final he tenido dos tarjetas utilizando exactamente los mismos materiales y diseño.

Pumpkin Candy Holder

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to show you a small box that you can use as a candy holder perfect for autumn or Halloween.

• 660020 Sizzix Big Shot Plus
• 660841 Sizzix Thinlits Plus Die Set 13PK - Box w/Fancy Lid
• 657551 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles
• Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die
• Card: brown, orange, craft, white
• Pumpkin Stamp
• Color pencils
• Twine
• Glossy Accents
• Black gel pen
• Foam Squares

To make this candy holder I have die cut the box shape out of Kraft card and assembled it using some strong double sided tape. Then I have die cut the decorative strip and glue it around the box. To make the main embellishment I have die cut two small circles and attached to the front of the box using some foam squares. 

Finally, I have stamped the pumpkin, I have cut it very carefully, glued to the circles and put some glossy accents on top.

Hoy os enseño una pequeña caja perfecta para regalar una par de chocolatinas este otoño o como detalle de Halloween.

Para hacerla he troquelado la forma de la caja con cartulina craft y la he pegado con cinta de doble cara fuerte. Después he troquelado y pegado la tira decorativa y un par de círculos con foam adhesivo.

El último toque lo pone la calabaza estampada, que he recortado a mano con mucho cuidado, coloreado un poco, pegado en los círculos y puesto un poco de Glossy Accents.

Owl paper clip for your planner

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Do you like planners? I love them and I like to decorate them seasonally. So this week I have created a paper clip perfect for autumn, with the Little Owl Thinlits Die Set from Craft Asylum.

Supply list:

• 660813 Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Little Owl
• Card: brown, red, white, cream, green
• Big paper clip
• Hot glue gun

To make this owl paper clip you will have to die cut the body of the owl twice and glue both front and back with some glue on the ears. Then hot glue it to the top of the paper clip. Finally, die cut the other parts of the owl and glue them to the front of the clip. 

I love how it goes with the autumn theme of my october pages in my planner, but if you aren't into planners you can use it as a bookmark.

¿os gustan las agendas? La verdad es que a mí me encantan y además me encanta decorarlas de acuerdo con cada estación del año. Hoy os enseño este clip-búho que he hecho con sólo un troquel.

Para hacer este clip tenéis que troquelar el cuerpo del búho un par de veces y pegar las dos partes por las orejitas. Después lo pegáis a la parte superior del clip con cola caliente y le ponéis los demás detalles que lo adornan. 

Así de sencillo. me encanta cómo queda este clip en mi agenda con la decoración de otoño, aunque si no os gusta decorar vuestra agenda también lo podéis utilizar como punto de lectura.

The beauty of the essential

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to show you a frame I have decorated using dies from the Essential range. I love These dies, they are like my "basic wardrobe" of dies. I keep them in a separate bin in my dies stash and I find my self going to that bin very often to use my favourite dies.

• Card: Pink
• Frame
• Adhesive pearls
• Hot glue gun
• Black gel pen
• Foam Adhesive

To make this frame I have die cut the heart out of pink card and I have attached to another square piece of the same card with foam squares. 

Then, I have die cut 5 little roses using the same card and have put them together rolling the rose with a pencil and using hot glue to attache them to the heart.

As my last decorative pieces, I have put two rows of adhesive pearls and some lines with my black gel pen.

Hoy os quiero enseñar un marco que he hecho con ayuda de mis troqueles de la línea esencial. Me encantan estos troqueles, son como un "fondo de armario" para mí y los guardo siempre en una caja separada en mi estantería de troqueles. La verdad es que los utilizo un montón, son tan versátiles que se han convertido en mis troqueles favoritos.

Para hacer este marco he troquelado el corazón con cartulina rosa y lo he pegado con foam adhesivo sobre un cuadrado de la misma cartulina. Después he troquelado unas rosas, las he enrollado alrededor de un lápiz para darles forma y las he pegado con la pistola de cola caliente.

Para terminar, unos toques de falso cosido con un rotulador negro y dos filas de perlitas adhesivas.

Back to the basics: Love card

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to show you a clean and simple card made only with two pieces of card. Does it happen to you that sometimes you struggle with your creativity to make something beautiful and you don't like anything that you do? In these cases I always return to the basics: I grab one or two pieces of card, my Big Shot and make something really simple. This always boost my creative juices!!

Hoy os quiero enseñar una tarjeta de estilo sencillo hecha solo con dos trozos de cartulina. ¿No os pasa que a veces hagáis lo que hagáis no os gusta nada y necesitáis algo que os inspire y os vuelva a poner las pilas para crear cosas que os gusten? En ese caso a mí me funciona volver a lo básico y hacer algo realmente sencillo, como esta tarjeta.

Como podéis ver el diseño es muy sencillo, pero eso es algo que a mí me encanta y después de hacer algo así me siento mucho más animada para crear otras cosas. Así que la próxima vez que tengáis algún bache creativo, probad volver a lo básico y hacer algo que realmente sea de vuestro estilo personal, os aseguro que funciona :)

Cupcake gift box with using the Big Shot Plus.

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Do you like cupcakes? Sure you do! I love them, and I love to gift them in a thoughtful and beautiful way. Making a box to put our home made cupcakes can be very difficult, but with the help of the wonderful Big Shot Plus and the new Cupcake box Thinlits Plus Die Set it is very quick and easy.

I love how this die set includes a lot of dies to embellish the box. In this case I have used some of the rectangles, ovals and the star to make some layering on the side of the box and I have used little embossing line that you get on the sides to make some dash lines and bend the borders. This way you create a patchwork effect.

¿Os gustan los cupcakes? A mí me encantan y me encanta regalarlos, pero a veces hacer una caja para ponerlos es un poco complicado. Con ayuda de la Big Shot Plus y el set de troqueles Cupcake Box la verdad es que resulta muy rápido y sencillo.

Me encanta también cómo este set viene con un montón de troqueles para adornar la caja. En este caso que utilizado unos rectángulos, el óvalo y la estrella para poner algunas capas al lateral de la caja. También he aprovechado la línea de embossing que se obtiene en estos troqueles para doblar los bordes y hacer un falso cosido. De esta manera obtenemos un efecto patchwork con el papel.

A little Kitten frame

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

Today I want to share with you a home decor idea you can make with the beautiful Playful Kitten die by Deby Potter.

• Watercolor paper
• Black card
• Pattern paper
• Distress Inks
• Distress Markers
• Foam squares

Normally I like to die cut this type of dies out of different colors of card, but in this case I have tried to color the design with Distress markers. I like how fresh it turned out, with this watercolor effect you can achieve with these markers.

After coloring it I have matted the design with black card and some colorful pattern papers and I have framed it all together. It is a perfect home decor piece for a child's room or in a young kitten lover's home.

Hoy os enseño un cuadrito para decorar la casa hecha con uno de los estupendos troqueles de Deby Potter.

Normalmente me gusta troquelar este tipo de troqueles con cartulinas de diferentes colores e ir montando el diseño, pero en esta ocasión he preferido troquelarlo con papel de acuarela y darle color con rotuladores Distress. Me encanta el efecto desenfadado que se consigue, casi como una acuarela, tan de moda estos días.

Después de darle color, le he puesto una cartulina negra detrás y unos cuantos papeles decorados bastante divertidos. El resultado es una pieza de decoración perfecta para la habitación de un niño o en una casa de algún amante de los gatos joven.

Dies and Distress Inks. Hello Card

Hi everybody! Elena here. 

I have been playing with my Distress Inks and dies lately, and today I want to show you a clean and simple card you can make with some dies, white card and Distress Inks.

• 66022 5izzix Thinlits Die Set 16PK - Friendship Words: Script
• 659431 Sizzix Bigz Die - Garden Greens
• White card
• Adhesive brown pearl
• Distress Inks
• Distress Markers
• Black gel pen

To make this card I have die cut the little bird, the branch and the sentiment out of white card. Then I had some fun with my inks and markers, blending all the colours very well and misting some water on the leaves to create more interest.

Finally, I have attached my die  cuts on a white car panel, I have bent the leaves to create some dimension and I have attached everything to my card base using some foam squares.

Estos días he estado jugando un poco con mis tintas Distress y mis troqueles y hoy quiero enseñaros una tarjeta Clean and Simple que podéis hacer sólo con troqueles, tintas y cartulina blanca.

Primero he troquelado todos los elementos en cartulina blanca y las he coloreado con tintas y rotuladores Distress, difuminando muy bien los colores y pulverizando un poco de agua en las hojas para conseguir un efecto más realista.

Después he pegado todos mis troquelados en un panel de cartulina blanca doblando un poco las hojas para crear más dimensión y lo he pegado todo a la base de una tarjeta con foam adhesivo.
