Project 365: Days 148 Through 155
I may not be very successful at getting my posts up lately, although I am still managing to get my Project 365 posts up, which I guess is at least a step in the right direction.

May 28, 2015 - 148/365: Bee Happy.. or really here, bee sleepy.

May 29, 2015 - 149/365: Baby's First Book Club at Chimes.

May 30, 2015 - 150/365: While you can't quite read her onesie here, it does say If You Wake Me Mom Will Cut You. Although honestly, when I bought it I had no idea how well she'd actually be sleeping!

May 31, 2015 - 151/365:Morning Smiles.

June 1, 2015 - 152/365: Trying out Smashburger with an Arugula Burger.

June 2, 2015 - 153/365: First Time Trying Bananas.

June 3, 2015 - 154/365: Such Heavy Thoughts

June 4, 2015 - 155/365: The boy made chicken with artichokes, and while it isn't exactly the same as my version, it is quite similar.

Mother's Day Take Two
Recently I wrote about how we spent Mother's Day at an LSU baseball game. Yes, we all had fun, but it wasn't necessarily how I would have planned on spending it. Which is why the following weekend I decided we needed to go to brunch.

We went to our current favorite brunch spot, Another Broken Egg Cafe, where I had their cinnamon roll french toast, along with a side of scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. Elley even got in on the food action and gummed on an English muffin. Then promptly dropped it on the ground, but she seemed to enjoy her few seconds with it.

But our Mother's Day celebrations still weren't finished. First though, we spent Sunday morning in the crazy heat at the boy's baseball game.

From there we went to dinner with the boy's family at Acme Oyster House. His parents had actually been in Alaska on Mother's Day, which is why we hadn't been able to have a family dinner on the holiday itself. Basically we were able to spread Mother's Day celebrations over two full weekends, which is the way to do it... at least according to me!

Five on Friday (7)
I've had different variations of this post in the works for a while now, but finally I'm actually here writing it down. Which means I'm excited to say I'm linking up with Five on Friday!

1. The boy and I recently purchased a new set of dishes from Sur la Table. Our old ones were random and mismatched so we figured it was finally time to act like grown-ups and upgrade. We actually couldn't decide on one design, so we bought two different sets. Since both of them are all white they do still go together. The photo above shows the square ones, with the boy's coq au vin, and the one below the more circular ones, with some of the boy's pad thai.

2. Earlier this week it was announced that Garth Brooks will be having a concert in New Orleans in July. I was hopping this would happen, and am so, so excited about the news. The first concert I ever saw was Garth, back in 1996 or so, and am so excited to see him again. Tickets go on sale in a week, so hopefully I'm able to score some good seats!

3. The boy and I recently discovered a new Italian restaurant right by our house, Randazzo's. It's a tiny, family owned restaurant where the chef is from Italy and is so, so good. The first time there I had the lasagna, and while good, the marinara overpowered the homemade pasta a bit. However, on the second visit I had their vegetable pasta with pesto, which was amazing. Honestly, the pesto is likely the reason we'll be going back again and again.

4. The past two year's I've been ending every month with a recap post, except I never got one up for April. Honestly though, with everything I'm trying to balance it's hard for me to manage to post anything, let alone a timely post like a recap. Plus with my daily photos and Elley's monthly updates, I'm still basically recapping daily happenings. What I'm trying to say is that for now, I don't plan on posting monthly recaps. But who knows when or if it will return.

5. One item I will miss from my monthly recaps are my flashbacks where I highlight a post from year's past. But there's no reason why I can't still do that in other posts, like a Five on Friday post! With that said, 3 years ago, in May 2012, I posted about my bridal shower out in California.
If you're stopping by from Five on Friday be sure to say hi! Also let me know your view on monthly recap posts.

Project 365: Days 99 Through 106
Why yes, I am like a month behind on my Project 365 posts. But eventually I just might catch up... right?

April 9, 2015 - 99/365: A Baby and a Hippo

April 10, 2015 - 100/365: Chewing on a Crocodile.

April 11, 2015 - 101/365: 4 Month Outtakes.

April 12, 2015 - 102/365: All Three Asleep. Technically the boy was asleep in the bedroom at this point, so it would have been four asleep instead.

April 13, 2015 - 103/365: Yet Another Sleeping Baby

April 14, 2015 - 104/365: Softshell Crab BLT at Beausoliel.

April 15, 2015 - 105/365: Spicy Chicken Pizza at Newk's. This was my first time there since it open and since then I've been slightly obsessed. I've been back 3 or 4 more times and have loved it every time.

April 16, 2015 - 106/365: Hanging in the Exersaucer

Project 365: Days 91 Through 98
Check it out... I have two Project 365 posts this week! At this rate you might actually see me catch up before the year is over.

April 1, 2015 - 91/365: Trying the Birthday Frappuccino at Starbucks. Technically this was after the special was over, but they were still able to make them. It was delicious, although I'm even more excited to try their new s'mores version!

April 2, 2015 - 92/365: Oreos for Dessert.

April 3, 2015 - 93/365: Out for book club, trying a Watermelon Mint Margarita at Velvet Cactus.

April 4, 2015 - 94/365: We still fit in the RockNPlay.

April 5, 2015 - 95/365: Mine and the Boy's Easter Basket.

April 6, 2015 - 96/365: Huevos Rancheros Sandwiches.

April 7, 2015 - 97/365: Buds on the Peach Tree.

April 8, 2015 - 98/365: Hanging in the Exersaucer. The was actually the first time she reached out and touched one of the buttons on her own.

Back at Alex Box
Each year I post about seeing LSU baseball at Alex Box Stadium. Last year I even suspected I was pregnant went we went, and confirmed it the following day. So it only makes sense that the first time Elley went to a game you'd see it on the blog.

All decked out in her purple and gold. The game was originally supposed to be 7, which would have been interesting with her 7:30 bedtime. Except they moved it up in hopes of avoiding the rain. 12 o'clock came and we were ready to leave the house, only it was raining. But we left with hope that maybe the rain wasn't across town at the stadium. Turns out it was raining there as well, and they had postponed the game to start at some point after it passed.

We did plan for this though, and instead went off to lunch. We went to Fat Cow Burger, where I finally got to have their Hundred Dollar Burger. It's a play on Hubert Keller's burger and has Fois gras, balsamic vinegar, Arugula, Parmesan cheese and Truffle Aiole on it, but it's only $15. It was definitely delicious, but even so, I think next time I'd go back to having their Napa Burger.
At that point the rain still hadn't stopped, so instead we decided to stay in town and get some shopping down. Well, we arrived at our destination and took Elley out of her car seat to find she had leaked out of her diaper, and her LSU onsie would be out of commission. A change of clothes later we were out of the car and on our way to kill a bit more time.
By the time we finished shopping and got back into the car, the rain had stopped and the game was back on, so it was back to the ball park. LSU is currently ranked number 1, and they were playing Texas A&M whose ranked number 2, so it was definitely a game to watch.

This was the third and final game of the series; a series where LSU had already won the first two. Basically meaning it didn't quite matter the score of the our game. Good thing too since LSU wound up loosing 6-2.

We made it till the 7th inning, when Elley told us she was ready to go. Although on the way out we did take one final photo with a Mike the Tiger statue. The first of many to come, I'm sure.

All in all, a successful outing, especially considering just how the day could have turned out.

Project 365: Days 36 Through 43
It's been almost 3 weeks since I've posted a Project 365 update. But while I've been slacking on posting them, the photos have still been happening. Instead of posting them all at once, I figure if I post them often enough, I'll slowly catch up. So here is a week of daily photos!

February 5, 2015 - 36/365: Mommy Knows Everything.

February 6, 2015 - 37/365: Reading with Mint Milanos. Until I purchased this bag it had been years since I remember having a milanos. As for the verdict... they're just as delicious as I remember them being!

February 7, 2015 - 38/365: Mommy and Baby.

February 8, 2015 - 39/265: Lasagna from Deangelo's.

February 9, 2015 - 40/365: Our Morning Photo.

February 10, 2015 - 41/365: I was so excited to see our Subway still had gingerbread cookies, especially since I didn't get to have a single one during the holiday season.

February 11, 2015 - 42/365: The third cookie shot of this post, this time with Oreos.

February 12, 2015 - 43/365: OOTD

Project 365: Days 8 Through 13
Another week into the year, means another week of daily photos!

January 8, 2015 - 8/365: Through the Crib Slats

January 9, 2015 - 9/365: Starbucks in PJs

January 10, 2015 - 10/365: Smoked Salmon Benny at Another Broken Egg Cafe. Although actually I still regret this decision and wish I had gone with pancakes or French toast or something else sweet instead.

January 11, 2015 - 11/365: Golden Globe Predictions. These were actually pretty miserable (everything you can see here was wrong!), so it's probably a good thing I didn't share them in full.

January 12, 2015 - 12/365: Baking. More on this to come, of course!

January 13 - 13/365: Only half asleep.
Did you make any Golden Globe predictions? If so, how accurate were you?
