Golden Dream Catcher

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share another card from the August Reveal using the Dream Catcher Maiden Set 865

I began by making the background for my maiden. I applied Nuvo Golden Crystal Glimmer Paste through the Dreamweaver Petit Fern stencil onto Kraft cardstock. This was set aside to dry.
The maiden image was stamped on to vellum with Versamark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail.
The image was colored with Copics from the back - this never looks very good!
But when it is turned over to the front the colors are nice and muted. The image was then stuck down to a piece of sticker paper.
I fussy cut around the feathers at the bottom with my Tonic Mini Scissors and then used the Spellbinders Decagons die and had the feathers come over the bottom of the die.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and it was also embossed with Gold Detail. This was then cut out using Spellbinders Framed Tags One.
Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse was sponged on the background piece and around the edges of the sentiment.
To assemble the card I popped up the maiden on mounting tape. a piece of gold ribbon was attached to the sentiment and was wrapped around the back of the card front, leaving some of the feathers on top of the ribbon. The cardfront was layered to cream and then to a Kraft card base. Some Nuvo Golden Sunset Glitter Drops were added to the sentiment and beaded areas on the dream catcher.

... and that finished up my card for today. Hope you've enjoyed my share? The photo below shows the various dimensions of the different products.
Here is a list of the products used that you will find in the store:
I'd like to join in the following challenges with my card today:

WINTER BIRDHOUSE

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share with you another card from the November Reveal. My card today uses the fun image Winter Birdhouse Stamp Set 803.

Winter Birdhouse

I decided to do a little spotlighting technique on my card. So to begin with I stamped the image twice with Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and colored one of the images with Copic Markers: Y13, YR04, R17, E31, E33, E13, E35. I then used different sized punches (1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2") to cut out the three little birds from the colored image. I then applied Dimensional Glue to the "snowy" parts of the circles. Twinkling Clouds was then applied to the glue and set aside to dry.

Winter Birdhouse

On the other black and white version, I applied the new Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a paint brush to the patches of snow.

Winter Birdhouse

This piece, when dry, was cut out to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" and was layered to a piece of cream cardstock which had been die cut with the Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders and this was then layered to a black card base.

Winter Birdhouse

The little spotlit circles were attached with Foam Squares. The Nuvo Glitter DropsWhite Blizzard and Silver Moondust were applied to the little dots around the image and Moonstone Glimmer Paste was applied to the little snowflakes.

Winter Birdhouse

That finishes my card for today. I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Unicorn Challenge Blog: Challenge #15: Snow/Snowflakes
A Gem of a Challenge: #181 Snowflakes
Critters and Creatures Linky Party 9: November (Create an Outdoor Scene)

Till next time,

Big hugs,

So for my card today, I decided to use one of my photos that I had taken in the backyard last winter. A few glitters and some of the new Nuvo products, Crystal Drops and Glimmer Paste were used to make my sparkly winter scene.

I used the new Nuvo Fine Tip Glue Pen to apply my glitters over the snow on the branches, doing little sections at a time. Starting with Cloud Nine, then on to Lavender Iris.

Then to Starfire and finally Crystal Ice.

Midnight Blue Crystal Drops were then added to the photo to finish off the background.:

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black, fussy cut and colored with Copics ((B24, B32, B34, C3, E13, E33) and then some Twinkling Clouds were applied to the branch with Brushable Glue.

Dimensional Glue was added to his eye. Glimmer Paste Blue Topaz was applied with a palette knife to his wing and tail.

The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock in Versamark and then heat embossed with one of the Tuscany embossing powders, Cerulean.  Memento Teal Zealand Danube Blue were sponged around the edges of the sentiment after it was cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Label.

I made a bow with blue organdy ribbon. The bow was attached with the sentiment on Foam Squares as shown. This was then layered to a white card base edged with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and the edges were applied with Denim Glitter.

The image was then attached with Foam Squares also, to finish up my card for today.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

OH CHRISTMAS TREE!

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share my last SNS October Reveal card.  I used the Christmas Tree Tag from the Christmas Tags #1: Set 805.

Oh Christmas Tree

I started with cutting out the Spellbinders Holiday Dies set, from different scrap pieces of green cardstocks and before removing the dies I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves ink over the pieces, which gave each of the pieces a different two-toned look.

Oh Christmas Tree

I stamped the Christmas Tree tag onto white cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed with Pear and cut out with the a Spellbinders Standard Circles die. I was aiming to give this card a monochromatic look, so each of the pieces were then daubed with Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse. I burnished extra onto the edges of the trees with my finger tool.

Oh Christmas Tree

I made my background by using the big daubers to apply a piece of white cardstock with Lemon Sorbet and Spring Green Embellishment Mousses.

Oh Christmas Tree

The background was layered to dark green before the white card base. The trees were then added overlapping one another using Tear-ific Tape and Foam Squares. The little orange star was punched from a scrap of orange cardstock which had been applied with some Moonstone Glimmer Paste.

Oh Christmas Tree

The Nuvo Crystal Drops Bottle Green were applied to the top right corner as shown.

Oh Christmas Tree

I hope you've enjoyed my monochromatic card today?

I'd like to join in the following challenges:
Shopping Our Stash #275: Three Trees
613 Avenue Create: #190: Use Green and Gold

Be back soon,

CHRISTMAS ELEPHANT IN THE WOODS!

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share with you a card using the October Reveal Elephant Christmas Tree Set: 802 and the new Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone.

Christmas Elephant

I made my step card base using the Sizzix Balloons Step-Ups as a guide. I cut the inside panels from Super Adhesive sheets and stuck them on to the front panel and the two little steps. I repurposed the stamp by stamping the image on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and then I fussy the elephant and tree out, as I wanted him to be decorating his chosen tree out in the woods! I know elephants don't live in the woods, but call it artistic licence!

Christmas Elephant

Our little friend was colored with Copics: YG03, YG06, YG67, Y17, R37, N2, C3, C5 and Dimensional Glue was applied to the baubles and the star, and to his hat and tail to which was added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft, for some dimensional sparkle. I die cut the trees with the Die-namites die cut Winter Forest and split it up so that it would fit on the steps of the card. The were sponged with Memento Olive Grove, Bamboo Leaves and Peanut Brittle and then once the inks were dry, I put them on a piece of left-over protective backing and applied the Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a spatula. I find that it is a very easy clean-up when you used the protective backing, none of the paste is wasted, just scoop up any paste from the sheet and put back in the jar. This was put aside to dry - though it doesn't take very long - half an hour at most.

Christmas Elephant

I did the same process with the Memory Box Curved Merry Christmas, leaving "Merry" white.

Christmas Elephant

The Glimmer Paste makes the piece very pliable.  When this was dry I stuck a piece of 3/4" Tear-ific Tape to the back of the "christmas" and burnished Cloud Nine to the word. The assembly of the card was next. I started with the steps, by removing the backing of the Super Adhesive Sheet scraps that I had put on the front of the steps. I then placed the two trees on the back step and then covered the remaining sticky surface with Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter. I repeated the process with the three trees and then placed the elephant on the front panel together with the Merry Christmas die. The Merry Christmas die was slightly wider than the card, so I turned it over and cut off the overlapping edges.

Christmas Elephant

Here is a closer look at the dimension achieved with the Dimensional Glue.

Christmas Elephant

I'd like to join in the following Challenges:

Scrapy Land Challenge #51: Use a die cut brand that Scrapy Land sells
Cardz for Galz Challenge #33: Use at least one die cut

Hope you've enjoyed my share today and that I have inspired you to look at your stamps a wee bit differently.

Hugs,

Shona
