25 Days of Holiday Cards Day 6

Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Hello friends and welcome back for day 6 of my 25 Days of Holiday Cards.

Today's card features a fun die set from Spellbinders called Truckin through the Seasons.
I signed up for their card and die subscription and have been having so much fun creating with my kits! I love that I could put the Christmas tree in the back of the pickup truck. The dies were really fun to create with.

If you're interested, you can see how to cut and put this cute truck together in this video by Spellbinders.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! See you tomorrow with another card!

A Rock'n Birthday Card

Friday, April 3, 2015

Hello there friends!
I wanted to share a fun way to use Therm-O-Web's iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive™ sheets.
Last month for my Birthday I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim and visited the Elizabeth crafts booth. I loved the stickers and her microfine glitter so I picked up some to create with.

HB

I really enjoy creating cards with the peel off stickers. When you sprinkle the Silk Microfine Glitter onto a sheet of Easy-Cut Adhesive it creates a full sheet of glittery background that you can then layer the peel off sticker on and color with Markers. The result is really stunning.

I did get a little glitter residue on my Copic markers but nothing that wasn't easy to get off.

Once I applied the sticker, I cut around the outside of the oval frame and saved the left over glittered sheet for another project.  Then I used the Sticky Strip runner to adhere the cardstock to my card base.

HB1

Then I used Therm-O-Web 3D Foam Squares to adhere the image to the middle of my card.

HB2

I finished the card with some fussy cut flowers from Heartfelt Creations. I adhered the bling to the center of the stamped flowers using medium Zots. Finally I adhered them to the card using the 3D Foam squares.

Here's a full image of the finished card.

I hope I have inspired you to give our iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive™ sheets a try!

Have a creative day.

MFT Stamp Club Challenge

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Hello friends. It's pouring rain here today in So Cal and while it may be dreary outside, I've been creating some sunny little cards in my studio. My sweet friend Lisa sent me some adorable My Favorite Things stamps that I could not wait to ink up. That made creating along with this week's Stamp Club Challenge even more fun.

Let's have a look at the sketch.

Here's my take with the adorable Doodle Garden Sweet as can Bee image.

Supplies: My Mind's Eye patterned paper 6x6 stack , Seam binding ribbon, Papertrey ink coverplate, Spellbinders circle and scallop dies, Tim Holtz button Copic markers and Stickles.

I thought it would be fun to have the honeycomb texture behind the image so I used the circle and cover plate dies to cut the same color cardstock and layered them over one another. Then I just cut away the excess honey comb die.

Stamp Club is a weekly challenge at the MFT blog. Stop by and find out how you can create along for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store.

Have a creative day!
