Not much else going on. I didn't watch any TV yesterday. Tonight I watched Hoarders and Pretty Little Liars.
I am still reading A Shade of Vampire Book #5 by Bella Forrest.

My puppy had more shots today and last visit she weighed 9.5 lbs and today she weighs 16.1 lbs. She is growing really well.

Saturday IHSW & The Pledge

Yesterday started a morning of beading. My sister and mom came over and my sister wanted to learn how to make a bracelet. Her beads were gorgeous. Black and silver. Something you would pay $30 for and she made for $8. I repaired a bracelet that I had. No making anything for me lol. Mom just came to visit and watch :-)

We had to laugh at my dog. His name is Dreyx and he is 10 years old. Rottie/Sheppard mix. Well my dad says we have been lucky rescuing dogs. He just rescued a 4 year old female Shibu Inu (sp). I adopted Dreyx when he was 1 1/2. Anyways we were sitting at the table beading and brought up what my dad has said and he calls my dog a real gentleman. My sister laughed and said Dreyx is not a gentleman. Well he whipped his head around and glared at my sister and stuck his nose up in the air and then got closer to my mom for her sympathy LOL. We laughed and he glared at her for the rest of the day lol. My sister calls him a boob dog since that is what he likes about women LOL.

They left around 3 and then I got ready to go to Scott's parents house. I cooked sausages, mashed potatoes and corn. I took a pack out of meat out of their freezer and brought it home. I can have it thawed out next Saturday for them and buy some for us as well.

So since it is still IHSW I stitched some more on SamSarah Designs The 1892 Pledge.
I am loving this piece and will  bring it back out in a week. Sundays are Halloween stitching and the week of the 25th I always stitch something Christmas.

I watched a really good movie on Lifetime. Drew Peterson - Untouchable. Awesome performance by Rob Lowe. I didn't recognize him. He costarred for 2 days, with Live With Kelly and still is as hot as he was in the 80's. Doesn't look like he aged at all.

Thanks for all the comments and I do reply to those I can. You are all the best!

another block and a half done

Today started worrying about my dog. He has just been acting weird. He is eating and going to the bathroom ok but he seemed to be moping and when DH touched him he yipped. I noticed the change in him yesterday but, like my kids, I was going to give him 2 days. DH works nights so the dog always sleeps with me, curled up next to me. An 83 lb rottie/shepherd mix, who is a big baby. Last night he wouldn't sleep with me, which is really strange. Today Scott was getting worried and told me to call the vet. So I got him in at 5pm. They thoroughly checked him over and could not find anything wrong with him. When we told her how the holidays were and no chocolate is ever left around and no plants in my house, he did have a ham bone but no throwing up from that. So she thinks he was just tired and his muscles were tired. See, my parents brought over their new dog, on Christmas day. They were playing all day. My dog is 10 1/2 years old and probably used some muscles he hasn't in a while. He is acting fine now. They did do some blood work, just as a precaution and will call me tomorrow. They don't think they will find anything. So I am feeling much better.

Dylan and his girlfriend had dinner with me and then we played a game of Phase 10.
The weather here was snowy and windy and very cold. It is 15F right now, bbrrr.

I did stitch a couple of hours tonight. I stitched up a block or two tonight on SK Rapunzel.

I watched Live with Kelly, General Hospital and another Christmas movie. Tonight's movie was Debbie Macomber's Trading Christmas. I loved it!

Today I listened to a few chapters of Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell and I also read a few chapters of The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

Everyone stay safe and warm tonight.

Thank you for the comments and reading my blog. I have a few changes to make on here to get ready for 2012/

This is a new pic of Molly. Since my operation I am supposed to keep a pillow on my stomach, which is a good thing since she loves to be on my lap all the time. So it is a challenge to cross stitch. I also have to train her better because she likes to yank at the floss and fabric when I am stitching. She doesn't do it often. She also wants the wires to my ipod, from my headphones. She will learn with time.
Today I finished listening to Toxic Bachelors by Danielle Steel and I loved this book.
I will be starting Bungalow 2 by Danielle Steel , tomorrow.
Yesterday I worked on Quilt Sampler and my goal is to finish it this month.
Today I stitched on Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett. I got quite a bit done on her and I also want to finish her this month.

Not much went on today. Scott worked the morning shift at the station and Dylan worked the 2nd shift. Justin had to be at his job twice today but he still managed to hang out with friends and as of now, 11pm he is still out. He is pretty good at being home around midnight even though he doesn't have a curfew. He also will wake me up to let me know he made it home.

Thank you for reading my blog and for those that leave comments. That means a lot to me.

WIP pics and pet pics

I stitched some more on Hallween Fairy on Sunday. So 1/4 of it is done.
Saturday I finished another square on Quilt Sampler.
I took pics of our new cat but took one of the dog as well. This is my baby Dreyx. He is 8 1/2 years old, rottie/shepherd mix. Him and the cat hit it off as soon as she came out of the pet carrier.
This is Molly. Her eyes get runny once in awhile. The shelter wasn't sure if it was allergies or stress. They were giving her a cream for it. The first 2 days we brought her home they were bad but seem to be getting better. if not then I will have to call our vet and see what they can do for her. She is such a lovey cat and sleeps all night with me.
She is a little butterball and has a small head for her big body LOL. I call her Miss Molly and Dylan calls her Molly Moo.

I had preop this morning. They drew blood and took chest xrays. Tomorrow afternoon i have to call to see what time my surgery is and when to get to the hospital.

Tonight I listened to more of My Sisters Keeper while stitching on the RR
Tomorrow will be my last day at work for a few weeks. The only thing bad about that is no pay. I work 27-32 hours a week and am part time. My employer only pays disability for full time employees. So no stash buying for a while.

I have a bunch of audiobooks downloaded into my computer and have 6 more sitting here to put on my computer so I am hoping to get a lot of them listened to while laid up. Plus movies in the evenings. Also lots of stitching time in. Maybe a couple of big finishes. But I will not make any promises :-)

stitching and finishing

Saturday I went grocery shopping with Scott. Came home and stitched a little bit on the Quilt sampler. Scott had the remote so we kind of just fell asleep watching junk.
Today was my finishing day. I had 2 more ornaments but didn't feel like pulling out the sewing machine. I also have a SB Spring to make into a pillow but need to get fabric for it. So I did 2 pinkeeps and a framed piece plus the March piece for the cork board.
This is our cat The Outsider. He kept meowing to go out. he is the only cat that we let out.
This is Rascal and thinks he owns the house. I have another cat but he was hiding. I also have a dog but for some reason as soon as I put the camera up to my face he runs into another room. Silly dog.

Pumpkin - The Sweetheart Tree
JCS October 2008 issue

Today I stitched on Pumpkin.

I also watched some TV:
DVD- Changeling - really good
DVR: General Hospital , Smallville, and Supernatural
tonight: Desperate Housewives
