Weekend musings

I had a busy weekend. Went to a dinner at a church, to listen to Jill Kelly. She gave an awesome speech and I bought 2 of her books with prayers in them. She even signed them. The dinner was served to us, by the men of the church. They also did an awesome job and I was very impressed. Thanks so much for my manager in inviting me to this event. When I got home I crashed. It had been a busy day at work.

Saturday morning I slept in longer than I had planned to. I picked up Dylan's ex, Shelbi, and we went Christmas shopping. I am done shopping for my parents and my sister. I need to get 1 more thing for Justin. Next time I have to shop for Scott. Dylan still hasn't gotten a job so I am helping him pay his rent so that is his Christmas gift. I do plan on buying stocking stuffers though.
Then I went to a house where 2 friends, from high school, had an Open House. It was at one of the women's houses and it was for Mary Kay and also for jewelry , that my other friend makes. I bought me some lipstick and a Christmas gift.

Came home to find DH sound asleep. It was the first day of hunting season and the wind bothered him and he had a headache all day so wasn't out hunting for long. While he slept I pulled out HAED SK Sunny. I watched a cute movie called Igor.

Today DH took me grocery shopping, before he went out hunting. I came home and did laundry, caught up on dishes and watched TV all day while stitching. This is San Man Originals Witchy Boot freebie. I am hoping to finish it next Sunday.
Today I watched:
Fly Me to the Moon- cute movie
LMN Sandra Brown's Smoke Screen
DVR TV Shows:
House
Smallville
Supernatural
General Hospital

Halloween Sunday

I finally picked up my needle after 2 weeks of no stitching. Felt pretty good.
Scott has started working on my craft room. Taking out the closet and we are going to put shelves up.

Friday night we visited Scott's mom and the family all got together to eat in the cafeteria. She is now in a nursing home for rehab. She can walk with a walker and needs to get her strength back. Thanks for the prayers. I appreciate them
Saturday morning I went to the Farmer's Market and bought a bunch of veggies and fruit. Didn't really do anything else. While doing laundry and cleaning around the house I finished listening to Playing For Pizza by John Grisham. The next Audiobook is The Shack by William P. Young.

So today I finished the laundry and pulled out Cat-O-Lantern. I got quite a bit done on the pumpkin. Really love stitching on this piece.
While I stitched I watched Tv:
General Hospital - 9/9 , 9/10
The Vampire Diaries
Nikita - new CW show
True Blood Finale

Halloween SAL day

Sunday with the Stitching Sisters Yahoo group is for Halloween stitching. Last week I started Cat-O-Lantern and I finished the tail today. Working on the cat's body next.

Dylan and I went and visited with my parents before going grocery shopping. My mom has all of her Weight Watchers stuff so i picked that up. Seems simple enough.
Then Justin vacuumed the house and furniture while I went around spraying everything with a flea spray and gave the dog a bath.
Sat down with my stitching and listened to a couple of chapters from Web of Evil by J.A. Jance. Then at 9 True Blood came on.

Thank you for those who have been leaving comments. I do try to reply back to you. I am getting out of my funk and feeling a little better. I appreciate all of you.

Busy wednesday

Today was my day off. My plans were to clean the kitchen, vacuum hall and bathroom. Catch up on laundry and read all blogs. I got most of the kitchen done. I didn't get to the vacuuming but I am caught up on laundry and blogs.
Then I sat down and stitched. HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep. I stitched a lot on this but it is all confetti stitching so very time consuming. I do have almost the one column finished.

While stitching I managed to watch a few DVRd shows:
General Hospital - 4/5, 4/6, todays
Lost - 3/30
Vampire Diaries - 4/1
Supernatural - 4/1

Tomorrow I have to work. Then I want to stitch quite a bit more on this piece.

Pictureless Monday

We weren't busy at work so I got to leave at noon. Came home and did dishes and laundry.

While watching General Hospital I got the last of the DMC 900's on bobbins and started putting them in the jammer. I thin I need to buy 1 or 2 more though.

I got caught up on all the blogs that i read and left lots of comments.

I watched House even though it was a repeat and watched 24 and then I was surfing to see what was on and ended up watching a 2 hour episode of Clean House The Messiest House, which took place in Cinicinnati, Ohio. Wow, what a lot of clutter. I loved the house when it was done though. I like this show and clean sweep because I get some neat ideas from them.

All the time I watched all these shows I put in all the gridding of HAED Fly Butterfly. I started the stitching last year but after using the gridding method with the other 2 HAEDs I had to do it. I don't grid with any other patterns but find it so helpful with these as it is all solid stitching and tons of confetti stitching.

Well it is way past my bedtime, night all!

Halloween Sunday on Valentines Day

This was taken yesterday before we went out for dinner. Scott took me to Carrabbas Italian food. I had lobster Ravioli, which I have always wanted to try. Scott had lasagne, which was good. I didn't get any stitching in yesterday so no pics.
Today I got up and went grocery shopping. Came home and did some dishes and laundry. I made Scott Hamburger Stroganoff since it is one of his favorite dishes. Sat and stitched all night. I was not happy with the Daytona 500 and all the stopping and waiting so I ended up just turning it off. I watched all the Lost episodes of this season and then this past Tuesday's episode of The Forgotten. I stitched on LK Boo Flip Its. Stitched more of the border and then started Black Cat. I am having fun stitching this.
This week I will be stitching on HAED Fly Butterfly. Hope to get a lot accomplished on it.

a good day

My day started out with putting ingredients into the crockpot to make sausage gumbo.
Got to work and hardly anything to do so I got to leave at 1:30. I ended up doing some laundry and cleaning the living room. Then I worked out for 35 minutes with Wii Fit. That felt so good. We had problems with the remotes and I haven't touched it sine before my surgery, in June. I only gained 1.5 lbs since my surgery but I would like to know why then, are my jeans tight? It felt good to get back into a cleaning and work out schedule again. After reading emails and BBs, and of course playing on Fairyland :-), I then pulled out floss. That is right I still have bags to put onto bobbins. last year I was on a roll doing this and then stopped. Well I have made it my vow to do this again every day while watching General Hospital.

After I ate the yummy supper, I pulled out Aurora's Garden and listened to Dead Wrong by J. A. Jance. I got a few more squares done on it. I just don't think I will meet the deadline of the 27th. I am trying my best though.

So I am hoping to keep up with my daily routines tomorrow. Tomorrow's room to clean is.. the kitchen. Clean out the fridge and one cupboard.

See you then.
