I decided to be a copy cat and recreate the mani I saw in the Chanel Noir et Or collection ads. The nail polishes in this collection are gorgeous! However, unfortunately for me this is a boutique exclusive collection and we don't have a Chanel boutique here in Ottawa, only counters. Here's a picture of my inspiration:

And this is the result:

I use a coat of China Glaze 2030 first, let it air dry and then added Misa's I will Survive to the tips. I finished it all off with a layer of OPI top coat.

What do you guys think? Also, if any of you have the Noir et Or polishes, you should know that I'm very jealous ;)

I recently discovered Trincess blog Emerald Sparkle and am loving it! I especially liked the Ruffian inspired nail design she did so I decided to give it shout. I must first say that I've been polishing my nails since I was 6 and I still had never tried any kind of nail design (don't laugh). So this is pretty much my first try.

I had on 2 coats of ChG 2030 already. I used a French tip guide near the bottom of my nail bed, then I painted the rest of my nails with a coat of Misa I will Survive which is an opaque creamy black. Then I layered everything with one coat of Essie's Matte About You top coat.

Here's the result. And yes that's my car's steering wheel, I drive a conventional Civic and I'm proud!

How do you think I did?

I've been in the mood to wear some of my classic nail polishes. On this cloudy day I'm wearing ChG Lubu Heels which is part of their core line layered over Misa's I will Survive. Lubu Heels is a red glittery polish with a blackened base that looks best over black nail polish. I like this combo a lot the only thing is it looks black in dimmer lights. In the day light though, it's a gorgeous darkm red glitter combo.

Here's a picture of this on my nail. I'm wearing one coat of Misa (one coat is opaque) and two coats of the ChG:

I'm not a huge fan of nail designs as I changed my nail polish so frequently (everyday) that I find it kind of a wasted effort. But I wanted to experience more with layering of my sheer and glittery nail polishes. I used a layer of Misa I Will Survive which is a shiny black opaque in one coat polish. I let it air dry and then layered with one coat of Misa Candy Girl polish. Candy girl is a sheer polish with pink and blue glitters. Once layered together, it looks like I'm wearing dark super glittery purple nail polish. Yeah, I said purple! I don't know why it photographed blue, it was in fact purple!

Anyway, I thought I share this, I keep staring at my nails, lol!!
