Today is birthday card day on the My Creative Time blog. I made this card for a friend who is obsessed with succulents. This little plant reminds me of an aloe plant. I love how it turned out.

Just Cards

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is "Just Cards" day on the My Creative Time blog. I used the You Are My Sunshine set and a couple other products to create today's card. 

I think the hardest part of making a card, for me, is picking out paper. Sometimes it takes me 15+ minutes just to pick the right papers and less then 5 minutes to put the card together. Am I the only one?

Happy Monay!!!
Today is "Made in Minutes" day on the My Creative Time blog.   I made this quick card by masking off a small rectangle. I then used distress ink to color in the rectangle. Once I was happy with the look of the color, I sprinkled water on the color. Then used a napkin to blot up the water. When the paper was dry I added the letters and snowflake die. I love how it turned out.

Today is "Make it in Minutes" Monday, over on the My Creative Time blog. This week we we also were asked to use a specific color scheme. I opted to use just one of the colors, as I was also trying to be "thirfty". I has some left over pieces of green and white card stock laying on my desk so I challenged myself to make a card with them.

The card measures 3.5" x 3.5", the green piece is 3.25" x 3.25", and the top white piece is 3" x 3".  I used the smallest circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies on the white top piece and the largest circle die from the Picture Perfect Stamp Set, for the circle on the green piece.

I think I am going to make 3 more, just like this, in different colors and give them as a set. What a cute gift!

MCT 36nd Release Sneaks - Day 2

Happy Tuesday!!!

WooHoo! It's the 2nd day of sneaks for this months MCT new release's! Today we are sneaking two new sets, the Wicked Fun Dies and Trick or Treat Stamp set. I made two cards again today. I had two different ideas rolling around in my head so I made both.

I used the spider web die and embossed  the white paper with it. It's super easy to do and I love the way it looks! I used some Wink of Stella on the embossed web sections, it makes the web sparkle kinda like a real spider web. I added a little to the spider too.

For this card I cut off the web that was attached to the spider and added him directly to the web. I also made the Eeek! sentiment with the Alpha Pack Stamp Set.

Spooky Starry Night!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today is "Try me Tuesday" over on the My Creative Time blog. Our "try me" this week is to create a card using a "Faux Embossing" technique. It's actually a stamping technique, that you can see here. I used the background stamp from the Spooky Starry Night Stamp Set. I love this technique, it really does look like the paper is embossed. 

I created the sentiment window with a die that is being released at the end of the month. I can't wait to show you more!

I used Wink of Stella in the lens with some Dimensional Magic, I love how it looks like a real lens. I hadn't yet played with the new dot die that comes in the Tag Die Layers, I love the look of it.

Squirrel!!!

Happy Friday!!!

I just wanted to share a quick card that I made for my bestie's hubby's birthday. He has a lot of "squirrel" moments, so when I saw the Easily Distracted stamp set, I had to buy it.  The inside of the card is stamped with "Sorry, I am easily distracted." and "Happy Birthday!", which also come with the stamp set.
