Selvage Bowl!

Here's another fabulous item from accomplished selvage artist/quilter Sheri of Bungalow Quilts in Cincinnati, Ohio. A leaf-shaped fabric bowl made with selvages! I love it. She uses a stiff stabilizer between the selvages and the backing. Yayy, Sheri!

Kathi Price's Selvage Bowls

Kathi Price of Frisco, Texas is really getting into making selvage bowls! She sure does a beautiful job too! She wraps selvage strips around clothesline and coils it into bowls. See Kathi's blog for lots of great photos of her work. She also sells the bowls at very reasonable prices in her etsy store. I may have to buy one of these for my future quilt studio. Wouldn't that look stunning?

Amazing Selvage Bowls!

Look at this incredible selvage bowl by Kathi Price, a talented selvage artist from Frisco, Texas!

Just this morning I realized that you can't use selvages to make one of these bowls because you can't cut the selvages on the bias. Then, ironically, Kathi sends me these photos today! How did she do this? I see more of that nice blue and white striped fabric that she used to bind the top edge of her beautiful selvage tote bag (see post March 11). I wonder if Kathi has any "in-progress" photos to share. I'm really curious!
