I Just Found Chilli Peppa!

Chilli Peppa lives in the UK and she loves fabrics, especially African wax prints. Aren't these prints beautiful? Imagine what you could do with them in a quilt! Visit her shop: Chilli Peppa.

Uh-oh! Do you think the second fabric looks like pin cushions, or is it me? You, dear readers, may have to get together and do an intervention! (Yikes, wait 'till you see what I've been working on!)

New African Batiks

These pretty indigo batiks are part of a collection imported from Mali, West Africa, and offered for sale by eQuilter. They were inspired by the traditional fabrics of the Tuareg people, also called the Blue People, because the pigments in their turbans and robes used to run and make their skin blue. Indigo blue turbans are still worn for celebrations. They would be pretty in quilts too.

New Fabric by Dan Bennett in the UK

Remember the "Monkey Blues" painting that I showed you recently? Doesn't this new fabric look just like it? This is "Tribal Fantasy," part of the Premier Lord Collection by Dan Bennett for Free Spirit. Here is the ad for this fabric at eQuilter. Here are some related fabrics. And here is a link to Dan Bennett's website. And here are more of his designs (acrilyc, not fabric) shown below.

Wonderful Font Fabric from Kaufman

This stunning font fabric is from Kaufman's Oriental Traditions 6 Collection. Wouldn't a bit of this look great in a selvage quilt? I'm planning to use bits of it in a crazy quilt. I don't have a clue what it says. I'm guessing it says: hope, love, peace, friendship etc., so I'll take my chances. I have neighbors in my highrise apartment building who could read it for me if I could remember to carry it around with me. If I learn anything, I'll let you know.
