Blue Ribbon for Orange Zinger!

JoAnne in Keller, Texas won a blue ribbon at her guild show for this Orange Zinger! Just look at all those color windows! Doing that will deplete your selvage stash pretty fast! You can see the other winning quilts on her blog: http://www.nappinnanaquilts.blogspot.com/.

Now she's making another selvage quilt to enter in a show with her other guild. Go JoAnne!

JoAnne's Selvage Tote Bag

JoAnne in Keller, Texas made this beautiful blue selvage tote bag. I really like this one.

"I made this bag with blue and white polka dot lining and straps. It's for a friend who is much taller so maybe it won't drag the ground when she carries it. I'm planning to make another one for our guild's silent auction at the quilt show in April. These bags are large and will be great for keeping in the car for quick trips to the grocery. Be green - take your own bag and keep the plastic out of the landfill."

Take a look at JoAnne's blog at: http://nappinnanaquilts.blogspot.com/2009/12/another-selvage-bag.html

Selvage Quilts for Alzheimers Fundraiser

JoAnne in Texas made these 2 small (9" x 12") selvage quilts for Ami Simms' Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. They will be sold or auctioned at the Houston show in October. If you want to make a quilt for this worthy cause, visit: www.amisimms.wordpress.com. What a great idea. Nice job, JoAnne!

Dogs Rule!

JoAnne of Keller, Texas made this selvage log cabin quilt for a guild challenge. She named it "Dogs Rule." The log cabin blocks are nice and soft. I like the borders too. Yayyy, JoAnne! See her blog at: http://www.nappinnanaquilts.blogspot.com/.
