More Couching from Hata Larson

I found the entire post from Hata Larson. She couches strips cut from old tee shirts (1-1.25") onto foundation fabric along drawn lines. She starts with the flowers, then fills in the background. And this new photo shows beads too! Nice.

Recycled Denim Toys

See how to make recycled denim bears here. Nice and soft.

Visit this site to see more recycled denim toys (above).

Lots of texture on this quilt! I bet it's heavy with all the waistbands and belt loops.
The source site doesn't give much info, but a picture is worth a thousand words.

See more denim goodness here (my denim Pinterest board).

Upcycled Sweater Blankets

Aww, what an angelic picture. Cozy upcycled sweater blanket too.
From Counting Stone Sheep (where knitters go when they can't sleep). Haha.

Here's another sweater blanket from RecoverGirl, below.

Here's another version from the Better Homes and Gardens blog.

Colorful sweater blanket from Rose Hip (below).

Can you believe this? From Daily Danny. She's using old sweaters to make a "Potholder Rug."

And finally from the Purl Bee, a felted wool patchwork tutorial for this neutral blanket.

Robin Halleck's New Upcycle Quilt

Robin Halleck of Northern Michigan just made this beautiful Upcycle quilt for her granddaughter Lydia.  It will be presented to the little 2 1/2 year old this Thanksgiving.

Her fabrics look great on the blue background, don't you think? And I love the swirly quilting with multicolored thread. She says she had a blast making this quilt. Nice job, Robin!

Got scraps? I was making the Trellis quilt and got this one too, for no extra charge! I literally upcycled the scraps off the quilt room floor. Fast and easy raw-edge machine applique scrap quilt. Lots of clear how-to photos. PDF Pattern, 8 pages. Great for beginners, and quilters with a lot of scraps. Print it or save it on your computer. $5.

As always, I love to add little surprises like the flower pot in the block below.
