Halloween is less than a week away! We hope you're ready!
Here's a cute little Halloween onesie we made with our tie dye and iron-ons.
Wouldn't this be cute to do as a matching family set? What text would you put on a Halloween shirt?

We're starting our back-to-school shopping. It's interesting how sometimes kids want something very specific. That was the case with this 2-color tie dye shirt.
My daughter specifically requested a pink and blue spiral tie dye shirt. Unfortunately, there weren't any in the stores that were exactly what she wanted. Fortunately, I work at SEI and we sell tie dye. So, all I really needed was a white t-shirt.
We hope you're having fun back-to-school shopping. Are any other kids requesting tie dye this year?
We love fall! Maybe it's not typically the time you think of tie dye. But, we created this natural fade kit a while back and we love these colors for fall, especially the mustard, sage, and orchid.
Aren't these colors lovely?
Don't forget to iron to heat set the colors once it's completely dry to make them permanent.
We love how the t-shirt turned out and decided to do a little bag too.
The process is pretty much the same. But, instead of a spiral design, we tied this one in straight lines.
The last item we dyed was a plain white baseball cap. Instead of tying this, we sprayed the dye directly on the hat. Which project is your favorite?
Summer is the perfect time to try tie dye! Our tie dye kits are all ready to use. So, you can take your supplies out on the grass and have fun with your friends.
We hope you've had a wonderful summer! Check back again soon for more ideas.
We hope you are enjoying the tie dye projects we have been sharing lately. Today we wanted to show you this cute photo we took showing some of the projects we made with our different tie dye kits. From left to right the kits we used were the primary 3-pack, neon 8-pack, neon 3-pack, galaxy 8-pack, classic 8-pack, and spring 3-pack.
One kit we haven't shown on our blog before is the galaxy 8-pack. This kit is so fun to experiment with! For this shirt, we scrunch it a little and sprayed to get variation of color. Then, we opened the shirt and sprayed similar colors together.
We think everyone needs a good, large beach bag for summer fun! You can use them for swimming gear, road trip snacks and so much more. So, today we're showing how we took a plain, large bag and made it fun for a summer beach bag.
First, gather your supplies, you will need a plain bag, tie dye, iron-on letters and iron. We also used a plastic garbage bag to protect our workspace.
We hope you are having a fun summer! Today we wanted to share some shirts we made with the tie dye colors you can find in our Classic 8-Pack.
Which colors are your favorite? We hope you'll try one of our kits this summer!
The school year is winding down here in Utah and we're starting to think about summer plans. If you have kids keeping them busy over the summer can be a big challenge. How about letting them design a tie-dye shirt?
Let your kids choose their favorite colors and pick a design. They can help you tie the shirt and you can spray the dye for them. Even teenagers will love this!
Here are two simple design ideas for you. First, here's the classic spiral. We used the Neon 8-Pack for this shirt. Simply twist your shirt from the center and tie 4 elastics around it. Spray the dye and heat set with an iron once the shirt is dry. Check out our video here.
The second idea is the striped shirt. This was also created with the Neon 8-Pack. Accordion fold your shirt. Then, tie the shirt every couple inches. Spray the dye between the elastics and heat set with an iron when it's completely dry. Find the video for this technique here.
These ideas can also be used with other tie-dye kits. Here's an example of the classic spiral using the Neon 3-Pack. We hope this gives you some ideas of how you can use tie dye this summer.
Spring is here! We can't wait to get outside. How about you?
Because it's spring, we thought it would be fitting to show a shirt we created with our Spring Tie-Dye 3 Pack. This shirt was so quick and easy to make. We simply gathered the shirt vertically and sprayed the dye in this pretty gradation from green to purple.
Here's another shirt we made using one of our 3-pack kits. This one is the Girly Girl kit with magenta, turquoise, and purple. Which is your favorite?
Here's the last tie dye shirt we are sharing this week. The way we tied this one, made kind of a rectangular shape. Check it out.
These images show how we tied this shirt. First, we accordion folded the shirt from the bottom up. Then, we tied the center with an elastic. Next, we accordion folded each side in to the center and tied and elastic going the other direction to form an "x".
Next, spray the shirt with dye. This is how our shirt looked after sprayed. Allow the shirt to air dry fully. You can lay it flat to dry (faster) or keep it bundled up for more color variation. Then, heat set with an iron.
This is a fun technique to try! Which tie dye technique is your favorite? Will you try one of these? Don't forget to wear your green next month. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Ready for a new tie dye project? We love how this tank top turned out. It reminds us of an ink blot test of a 4-leaf clover. What do you see?
When March comes around, we can't wait to start seeing some green outside. Saint Patrick's Day is the perfect excuse to bring on the green. We had fun using green tie dye and different methods of tying shirts and are excited to share them this week.
Today, we are sharing a shirt we folded similar to the star flower method. It was really fun to try! We chose to start with a wet shirt this time. Here are the supplies we used: a shirt, tie dye, and elastics.
Valentine's Day is coming up! One thing we love about Valentine's Day is dressing up. What could be more fun that a tie dye heart shirt?
We realized we've never made one on the blog. So, we thought we should show you how it's done. First, gather your supplies. You'll need tie dye (we used the girly 3-pack), a white t-shirt, a heart template, a marker, and elastics.
First, fold the shirt in half down the center and trace the heart onto the shirt. We used a marker the same color as the dye we wanted to use. But, you could also use a water-soluble fabric marker.
Dye the remaining sections how ever you'd like. We alternated between purple and turquoise. Make sure to spray some dye into some of the creases for best coverage.
When you're finished, carefully cut the elastics off and lay the shirt to dry. After it's completely dry, make sure to heat set the design by ironing thoroughly to make it permanent.
Happy Valentine's Day!
