Merry Mistletoe Cards

Greetings and welcome to the SEI Blog, it's Rhonda here today to share with you a bit of holiday inspiration. I've created some three quick and fun cards using our Merry Mistletoe collection.

For the first A2 sized card, I've featured a bit of the packaging from my Die Cut Pack and also some of the Alpine Velvet Papers. The sweet little die cut bird is delivering the sentiment tag. The design here is very simple, but the cute stickers and embellishments make it easy to create something fun in a flash!

To create my second card, I went with a bit of a smaller scale card, it's approximately 4" square. I loved the sweet reindeer sticker, so I layered the pine bough swag behind the reindeer antlers to give him a festive look. A bit of fabric trim from my stash creates a focal point for the sentiment sticker which is adhered with foam squares.

The third card is again a smaller scale 4" square design. I used a die cut circle, punched a snowflake and layered between it and the "Love" sticker sentiment. I added the "Happy Holidays" on the bottom to anchor the design and added a bit of banner light bulb sticker underneath.

I hope I've inspired you to take out your SEI holiday papers and put together a few cards! It's always nice to do a few here and there to be sure you have plenty on hand for the holidays.

Thanks so much for stopping on over today for a visit.

4" x 6" Mini Album with Florets

Greetings and welcome to the SEI Blog, it's Rhonda here today to share my project with you. I recently received one of "The Preservation Series" 4" x 6" Album and thought it would be fun to use for a mini album for my son.

To begin, I selected my papers, the Florets Assortment Pack. The pack is so nice as it also includes the stickers and sentiments as well as the papers all together for you, just perfect for a mini album.

I selected the pretty butterflies on blue paper for the cover, adhered and accented with a few stickers and silver glitter dots. I used the stickers to spell my son's name on the cover. After that I chose the other papers and covered the interior and back of the book. I left the interior back yellow as it seemed to coordinate well on its own.

Before planning any pages, I selected some of my favorite papers and trimmed to 4x6 for the base paper pages. I then trimmed several papers to 3.5 square and some others to 3 x 3 square. Additional strips and bits were cut so I would have a huge pile of mats ready to go.

The first page is very simple single photo mat. The second page, when opened it has a sentiment adhered between the photo mat and is designed as a tab that sits outside of the page protector. It becomes a fun place to journal when you open it.

The third page is a blocked design, ready to add photos. The fourth page features one of the Perforated Sheets combined with a sticker sentiment. Cute, quick and perfectly coordinates.

The fifth page on the left features another Perforated Sheet with a fun sentiment. For the sixth page I cut apart the design of the Perforated Sheet sentiment and used it as a photo corner to frame the photo. I used a silver glitter dot as a simple accent in the word You.

I've left the other pages blank so we can add full sized photos as well as some cropped favorites. One other thing to mention, I've kept this design very simple. The idea is, if you are at a crop and had only the mini album, the paper pack and one embellishment, plus your basic tools of a trimmer and adhesives, you could create it.

Mini albums are so much fun to make and my children love to bring them in for share day at school. They are always excited and proud to show off a bit of their story. I hope I've inspired you to create something fun today!

"Live Out Loud" Summer Baseball Layout

Greetings crafty friends, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

I have a fun page to share with you featuring the Florets Collection. One of my favorite things to scrap are collage photos. It's a nice way to get multiple photos on a page to help convey the moments you are capturing.

I selected a few photos of our youngest son at one of his baseball games this year. He always has a twinkle in his eye and rosy cheeks. The navy striped paper coordinated so nicely with his uniform it was the perfect base to rest against the green cardstock background paper.

A few of the Floret Circles are used in yellow and the scalloped blue. The small floral accents were a nice soft touch to the page.

Thank you so much for stopping on over to the blog today.

Bright and Elegant Card Featuring Florets

Hello and welcome to the blog, it's Rhonda here to share a project with you.

I have a card that I've created featuring the Florets Collection. It's so very versatile in patterns and color. I wanted to use the geometric foiled paper as a background and pair it with some soft pink to mix things up a bit.

The circular sentiment sticker was layered on top of a few circle die cuts from the Florets Circles and Doilies pack. I added a few accent gems in orange from the Florets Sundries. A bit of orange and white baker's twine in a simple double bow finished the card.

Bright and Fun Boy Scrapbook Layout

Hello and welcome to the SEI blog, it's Rhonda here today to share a project with you. For today's project I used a bright and happy selection of primary colors. Blues, Yellow, Green and Red along with a pop of Orange and Black to make an energetic page.

Most of the pattern papers are from the Sprinkles collection, I loved the black scalloped background paper from the Cheery Hello collection so I incorporated that as well. I've also added in a clothing tag to help create my title work. I don't know about you but I save them from clothing or other items to incorporate into my crafting.

"Number 1 Fun Champion" is what I intended to use as my title, then I saw the "Have A Ball" banner sticker and included it also. You can see by the look on my sons face that he is in his element.

Christmas in July: Holiday Card Inspiration

Greetings crafty friends, welcome to the blog, it's Rhonda here today to share a bit of "Christmas in July" inspiration with you. I chose the Glimmering Boughs collection to create a few Christmas cards.

My first card features the pretty wreath sticker from the collection, layered on top of one of the kraft doilies die cut with red filigree foil accents as the focal point. The gold metal sundries were the perfect accent to the bow!

I've also used some of the gorgeous glitter borders and some of the regular paper border as accents on the side.

My second card is a more masculine and linear design featuring the "Trees of Gold" background paper along with the "Season's Greetings" sentiment sticker and a few stars. The foundation for the design is a few Border strips that were layered in a small woven pattern.

The bits of gold and texture of the embossed patterned paper in this collection make even clean and simple cards feel so very elegant.

Amazing Kraft Expandable Mini Album

Hello and welcome to the blog, today I have an album to share with you. I used the 6x6 Expandable Album for my project today along with the "Always Yours" Assortment Pack, Borders and Titles.

I started by tracing the front cover onto the pattered paper, then trimmed to fit and used my 1/4 inch corner rounder on the corners and inked the edges lightly. Adhered with my favorite dry adhesive to match my rounded corners.

If you didn't measure just right, that's ok, just use the pretty Borders as a transition strip and you can beautifully disguise any gaps.

I collaged a few of my favorite pretty elements from the Assortment Pack along with a few stickers from the Titles. The pink layered heart I added a bit of Glossy Accents to for texture. I also added a small flourish die cut which I cut using the patterned paper and my die cut machine. To finish the cover, I added pretty chipboard bird which I inked with a bit of Chalk Ink to coordinate with the stickers.

Tip: I wanted a pretty storage solution for some of my favorite 6x6 craft stencils and this album is perfect for them! I love that there are refills and you can add to it very easily.

Hoo's Sweet Scrapbook Layout

Greetings and welcome to the blog today! It's Rhonda here today to share with you a scrapbook page featuring the Hoo's Sweet collection. I just love the vibrant and fresh colors in the line.

I grabbed this quick photo recently on vacation of our youngest at the pool. The colors were such a nice match to this collection, I couldn't resist!

The Playful Expressions helped create the perfect title work for my page! I added a bit of texture with some glitter paste and a stencil, then splattered some Tie Dye Ink in yellow, red and blue onto the page.

I finished the page by adding the Dimensional Foam Stickers and some stitching with my sewing machine and date stamp.

Set of Cheery Hello Cards

Greetings and thank you for stopping on over to the SEI blog today, it's Rhonda here to share a few projects.

I created a couple of cards using the Cheery Hello Assortment Pack. The pack is so versatile, there are so many cute sheets of vibrant papers and the perforated "Everyday Wonder" cardstock sheet makes creating those accents for your cards quick and easy.

The first card I created using the Berry Pie paper as my base, then I added a bit of cheesecloth and a few more papers. Finally, I selected the accent strip and my circle sticker sentiment. The gingham black and white block was cut in half. You will see the other half of it used on my next card.

A few accents of circle dots from the sticker sheet finished the card.

My next card is very clean and simple. I let the beauty of the Cheery Hello paper with the neighborhood homes carry the design here. A few accents from the Sticker Sheet made this fun card finish nicely.

Now, if any of you saw a particular movie like I have, you know that the sentiment on this card will make you sing just a little bit inside. Ha!

"What a Day" Circus Scrapbook Layout

Greetings and welcome to the SEI blog today, it's Rhonda here to share a project with you.

I created a scrapbook page featuring the Bits of Joy collection. The image of the Lion inspired me to scrap a few photos of our boys when I recently took them to the circus.

To coordinate the animal or circus theme, I trimmed the right side of the Dreamy Sweet paper to showcase the Lion. I then created a photo mat area to the left to stagger my three photos.

One of the fun ways to mix up your Die Cuts is to layer them in such a way that you can create your own custom title work, this is how I created my "Boys after the storm".

A few extra additions of Puff Stickers for texture made the page come together so nicely.

Lovely Embellished Spiral Bound Journal

Greetings and welcome to the blog SEI friends, it's Rhonda here today to host.

My project today features the Spiral Bound Journal and the Always Yours collection. I wanted a pretty journal that I can use as a mashup for inspirational thoughts and quotes as well as to document some fun mom memories and moments for reflection.

I began by choosing my focal point papers, then trimming them to size. I adjusted the left border by adding another layer just to the left, then embellishing the transition space with a touch of eyelet lace that I had on my desk. I stitched around all of those layers, then adhered.

The sentiment chipboard was inked with a soft green chalk ink and layered with a coordinating sticker from the collection and a flourish that I cut using a die and my die cut machine. I added the tiny grey chipboard heart in the bottom right corner.

Here you will see my first two interior pages. I kept it fairly simple but thought that the quote was perfect to grace the intro page vellum pocket. This collection is so lovely, the finish of the papers and the foil and pearl accents are amazing.

You Make My Heart Happy Scrapbook Layout - Always Yours

Greetings and welcome to the SEI Blog, it's Rhonda here today.

My project today is a scrapbook page featuring the Always Yours Assortment Pack. By nature, this is a very romantic and pretty line. I am using it with some very non romantic type of photos.

I recently took my boys to the circus and they were so excited they could not behave to take a photo before it started. Since I believe that life is not all "Pinterest Perfect", I always scrap the funny and not so perfect photos too.

One of the sentiments in the collection "You make my heart happy" was perfect for the page, I simply trimmed it out a bit from the doily border and it took on a new crisp look. I've used a mixture of grey, cream and pink for the page.

I really like the swirl cream background paper, it is silly and fun. To soften the borders on that layer, I used a border punch only on the right and left sides.

A few pieces of Kraft Chips and Silver Glitter Dots completed the page.

Thanks so much for stopping on over today! I hope I've inspired you to scrapbook your imperfect photos too.
