I thought that today I would share my favors for Thanksgiving.
I purchased baby pumpkins for each place setting and decorated them with a rose made from Corinne sunshine and a leaf from rose quartz printed card stock. I stamped "Give Thanks" on a tag from Mirelle sundries.
I purchased extra pumpkins to use as my centerpiece as well.
Its my last day at SEI and I want to say thank you. I had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed blogging this week and I hope everyone enjoyed my ideas.
Thank YOU, Jules!! You are such a talented lady with impeccable craftsmanship. The flowers you make are seriously amazing. Thank you for taking time to inspire us this week!

Hello again! One of my favorite things about living in New England is fall. The foliage is beautiful and its apple picking time.
My husband's first request is apple crisp. So, I thought I would share our favorite recipe.
Apple Crisp
filling
6-8 apples, we like cortlands
1 tbsp orange juice
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
Peel, core, and slice apples. Combine apples with orange juice, sugar and spices arrange in casserole dish.
topping
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1 stick butter, softened
Mix all of the topping ingredients (hands are best) until the mixture is crumbly. Spread on top of apples and bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
As a floral artisan one of my favorite things to do was wedding flowers. The beautiful papers from the Promise Me collection instantly made me think of a wedding.
I also made a simple place card with delicacy and romance shimmer paper and added an anemone to the side. I think they would make a statement at any place setting.
I thought I would show you how I make my roses. I used my Cricut and Flower Shoppe cartridge to cut 5 shapes (Fun 4) at 2.5". Any similar shape will work.
I use two 6 petal cuts for the base, 5 petals, 4 petals, 3 petals x 2, 2 petals and a single.
Use a bamboo skewer or something similar to wrap the 2 petal shape into a bud, glue, then add glue to the single petal and wrap it around the bud. Glue the rest of the shapes together so the edges meet.
Use a bamboo skewer or pencil to curl the petals. Then starting with the bud, add a little glue to the end and stack your shapes gluing and alternating the petals as you go.
For a quick project, glue onto a ribbon, add a clip to the back and you have a hair clippie. I also like to use them on gifts instead of a bow..
I have a couple of Halloween party ideas for today.
Now that I have young children in the house, they want decorations for every holiday.
One of my go to types of decorations is a simple shape and I stand it up on a rosette. They are quick and easy and you don't have to glue the shape to the base. Two pieces means easier storage for next year.
I used the Salem Heights collection for the pumpkin and rosette. I cut out an orange pumpkin and backed it with dead man's parlor. I made a mirror image of the pumpkin and background and glued all four cuts together. On one side I cut some triangles and a smile out of midnight velvet and the other side "Trick or Treat".
The rosette is made with spooky town bash. A black bow,a stem and a leaf with the clover velvet and a rose made out of Corinne-sunshine finish it off.
What's a Halloween party without a costume contest? The first thing I thought of were prize ribbons when I saw the SPOOKS dimensional elements.
The stickers are already so cute it didn't take much to make a cute ribbon.
I made a small rosette for the base, glued some ribbon streamers, then added a couple layers of circle cuts and the sticker. Glue a pin on the back and you have perfect prizes for your little monsters. The striped paper is from the Cheery Brights stack and the lattice ribbon is punched from Midnight velvet.
Please welcome our special guest, Julie Nagle! She is an amazing paper-crafter and party planner extraordinaire. You are going to L-O-V-E the projects and inspiration she will share this week. Check back each day to enter the giveaway. Don't miss a thing!
My name is Julie (a.k.a. - Jules). I am thrilled to be a guest blogger this week.
I live in Northern New England with my husband of nine years and our three children, new puppy, and a cat.
I "retired" from being a floral artisan six years ago to stay at home and take care of my beautiful babies.
I became interested in scrap booking when I was pregnant with my daughter. She is now five. I have yet to make a scrapbook page.
After years of hoarding paper and other embellishments I decided that it was time to use some of it. About a year and a half ago I started playing around with creating my own flowers and party decor. My love of fresh flowers has now turned into an obsession of creating paper ones.
I do have a blog for those of you who would like to check it out it is Zoe Bean Design.
I hope my creations will bring a spark of inspiration to your paper-crafting.
