Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my final project using the September Papercrafting Kit and as part of the SEI design team.
The colors of the September kit were perfect for a fall project, so I tried to think of something for Thanksgiving and that's when I thought about creating a gratitude journal that I can fill out during the month of November. Not only did I want to have a journal specifically for what I am grateful for in celebration of Thanksgiving, but my first baby is due sometime in November, so I wanted to have a journal ready for me to start writing in.
For this journal, I added a pocket to the front cover, for any ephemera that I wanted to keep.
I cut up cardstock to different sizes because I love having mini albums and mini books with different sized pages. I think it adds so much interest to a book. I also used elements from the envelope kit including the binder rings, so that I am able to add more pages to it when necessary.
I finished off my journal with an envelope as the back cover for any additional ephemera that I wanted to keep.
I think my first entry into my gratitude journal should be that I am so thankful to have been a part of the SEI design team. It has been an incredible experience and I have had so much fun playing with the awesome SEI papercrafting kits this year! Thank you for letting me share my creations with you and for all of your support this year! :)
Today I'm sharing a memento book I put together for a friend who just had a baby shower. I created the base of the book and filled it with photos that I took at the shower, but left plenty of space and pockets for her to fill in her thoughts, notes, or any type of mementos that she kept from her shower.
I used the envelope album kit, but instead of using the rings included in the kit, I bound the book with washi tape from my stash. There was so many fun paper pieces included in the envelope album kit and I was able to use them to add different sized pages to the book which is one of my favorite techniques when creating mini albums and books.
Here's a look at all the inside pages!
I hope you are inspired to use the envelope album kit in different ways!
Hi SEI fans! I recently learned how to make cute little gift boxes using two pieces of scrapbook paper, so for my second project with the September Papercrafting kit, I decided to make gift boxes with gift tags.
I used two different patterns for each box to make each box a little more fun!
For the gift tags, I used the wood clothespins included in the kit and covered them with stickers also included in the kit. Then I went ahead and actually adhered the pins to the box.
Hi everyone! The color scheme in the September Papercrafting Kit is so pretty and perfect for fall, so for my first project I decided to make a banner to hang on our mantel as a start to decorating my home for the fall season.
I cut out the base and letters using my Silhouette Cameo, then layered elements from the Papercrafting kit on top of each letter.
Here's a look at what it looks like on our mantel. (Yes, I still have a lot more decorating to go!)
Hi everyone! This is a simple project I made using some leftover cardstock and journaling cards. Instead of making just one type of tag, I wanted to do an assortment of tags that can be used for different things using the same technique.
The first is a luggage tag using stickers that had a travel them from the kit. For the luggage tag, I made the ribbon a little longer than normal, so that the tag will hang comfortably on my luggage.
The second is a simple gift tag. I used a stamp set that I had in my stash to stamp To:/From:, but that could have easily been written in.
The third is a bookmark type tag. I handwrote the "This book belongs to" sentiment on the tag.
Hi everyone! Today I'm here to share a mini album that I put together using pieces from the starter album kit in the July Papercrafting kit. I wanted to put together a smaller album to give as a gift to my mom and dad for their wedding anniversary coming up at the end of the month, so I cut my pages down to 6x6. Then I simply layered elements directly from the starter album kit, punched a hole in the corner, and added a ring to hold all the pages together! Easy peasy!
Now here's a look at each page:
The alphabet stickers are from my stash, but everything else was from the SEI kit!
Hi all! Today I wanted to share a cute little notecard box set I put together using the pre-made diecut box that came in the July Papercrafting kit!
I made the little envelopes using some pages from the scrapbook kit. I had a template that made it easy to make the envelopes so that they could fit the 3x4 journaling cards that also came in the kit.
I didn't want to modify the size of the card at all, so all I did was add a little star sticker to make it a little more fun.
I made the diecut box inside-out, so that the green print was what showed. Then I simply added a sticker to the flap and ribbon off to the side to close the box.
In case you're wondering, I added the ribbon off to the side, so that I could write on the sticker that I put on the back to decorate the back of the box!
Hope you're inspired to think of something "outside the box" (hardy har har) with your July Papercrafting kit! Thanks for stopping by!
