Dwts season 20: week 10 night 2

Cute opening. I preferred Riker's jive more than the freestyle. Redfoo. Probably a good choice not to really dance. Stupid song. Charlotte. Still bad. Alfonso and Sadie. Cute but Sadie had some trouble controlling her limbs. Suzanne. Poor Tony. Robert. Clearly didn't work on technique when they spent time after he got eliminated. Noah and Amy. Short, I'm surprised they didn't dance together longer. Chris. Still has bad footwork. Nastia. Still a cute routine. And still an earworm of a song. Dance Hard. Hahaha. Rumer. Fun. And val didn't get hurt with the lift. Willow. Still a crazy foxtrot. I like the bloopers. And the Magic Mike-esque routine. Derek and Julianne. Interesting. Patti. This was one of the routines she did that she actually did the dance she was assigned. Fusion round. Noah. I saw more argentine Tango than cha cha. And he lifted her most of the time. A little too high  for me. Ri...

DWTS season 20: week 10 night 1

Redo round. Noah. While more engaged in the dance, there were more technical hiccups. But she's still mostly dancing around him. I'll agree with the scores, based on the previous scores. Riker. Still frantic but that's what you get for dancing a paso to a Viennese Waltz. I'll give him the scores. Rumer. She lightened the mood this time around. Less staccato. I agree with the scores. Freestyles Noah. I wasn't moved. Too high for me. Riker. Cute but I felt it didn't fit him completely. Something felt off to me. Too high for me. Rumer. Thank you for doing ballroom. I agree with the scores. The judges made the freestyle scoring moot but I expected that.

DWTS season 20: week 9

Semi finals Rumer. Very good Viennese Waltz. I agree with the scores. Noah. It was awkward in hold and Sharna danced around him a lot. Too high for me. I had a feeling he was going to propose before he got down on his knee. Riker. I felt that was a lot of spinning and flipping Alison. He didn't quite match her on the side by side moves. Too high for me. Nastia. I liked it but I don't think her head was to the left at all during the dance. It was either straight or right. I liked her dress too. I guess I'll give her the scores. I love good pro dances. Judges choice. A lot more involved than usual. Rumer. Swan lake Bruno? Really? It somehow worked. I agree with the scores. Too high. Noah. I felt he got lost. The other men could produce higher quality movement. Riker. I felt he could've done more. A few places felt his footwork was too small. Too high. Nastia. Cute. A little repetitive with the choreography though. I guess I'll ...

Dwts season 20: week 8

Noah. Unfortunately Tango is supposed to be danced with bent knees. It looked awkward. Little too high for me. Chris. He did almost nothing except lift her. Way too high. Riker. A little too strong on the downbeat. He seemed to be on the edge of control with his feet.  Robert. He did a bit more then Chris but not much. Too high. Nastia. The passion came and went for me. Too much static posing. I agree with the scores. Rumer. Feet could have been cleaner by brushing through the ankles. I agree with the scores. Trio round. Noah. He kind of stayed in one place. Too high. Chris. It felt like paso by the numbers. Not good. Too high. Riker. That was interesting. Not really my style. I'll give him the scores. Robert. That wasn't good. Bad bounce, messed up footwork, and way too many other things. Way too high. Nastia. Clever. A few places could have been cleaner. Tiny bit high but I'll give her the scores. Rumer. Best paso of the ni...

Dwts season 20: week 7

It's eras week. Riker. Cute. Lyrics didn't match the decade though. Seemed a bit compact but that might have been more size of the floor. I agree with the scores. Chris. Bit heavy on the down of the rise and fall. He looked leaning forward in hold, could have stood up straighter. Despite the improvement he's still the weakest left. I'll give him the scores. Rumer. chasses could be more defined. It was cute. The song was more a swing then Jive bit the show tends to do that. A little low. Noah. I felt there wasn't enough movement for the song. Too high. Robert. He didn't move that much. A few times i think mum didn't execute the moves as well as she could have. A bit high. Nastia. I enjoyed it but I really don't know Charleston. I also liked the song. I'll give them the scores. Willow. Odd. I had trouble getting into that one. Too high for me. Dance off round. Riker vs. Willow. I give it to Willow for content. Wooho...

Dwts season 20: week 6

Patti. Good for her to keep going with one shoe but there wasn't much Quickstep. Too high. Nastia. A little too much hopping for me but it was danced well. I'm surprised no one commented on the break in hold but they may have taken off for it. I'll give them the scores. Willow. I didn't care for it. I think her knees were bent too much. A little high for me. Robert. That was cute but technique sucked. Too high. Noah. Unfortunately he didn't really move. Too high. Rumer. She got a bit out of sync with the girls. But otherwise it was good but there could have been more. I'll give them the scores. Chris. It felt rough. There isn't a rise and fall in viennese Waltz bit every downbeat he dropped like a rock. Too high. Riker. Oh look hips! A bit out of control though. I'll give them the scores. Now for the team dances. Team yolo. It was cute. Maybe a little high. Team trouble. I felt like this was better executed even t...

Dwts season 20: week 5

Cute opening. I can tell what movies they'll each be dancing to by the costumes. Except maybe one. Suzanne. Even without the mess up, she wasn't doing much. Too high. Robert. He got out of time at the beginning and a bit in the middle. It seemed a bit slow. I agree with the scores. Cute Paso interlude. Patti. Pretty but barely could be considered a waltz. No rise and fall. Too high. Willow. Nor bad but the music was too dramatic for a foxtrot. Don't know if I'd give it 9s. Chris. Too careful. Lots of hopping in place almost. Frame fell. Tad too high. Noah. The focus was on Sharna twirling around him, distracting from his lack of fluidity. But he did well. I'll give him the scores. Riker. That was good. A bit frantic as the song is more suited to a Viennese Waltz. I agree with the scores. Cute 10 paddles for the week. Rumer. She lost the bounce a bit but her footwork was correct for the rolls. I agree with the scores. Nastia. ...

Dwts season 20: week 4

Another week another theme. Nastia. Really cool lifts but that seemed to be all there were. Lifts and tricks. Not that it wasn't pretty. Don't know if it was worth a 10. Michael. I felt he did a lot of spinning,  running to Peta, and standing in place. There were heel leads. Not worth 8s. Riker. Not bad. Little frantic and the song was odd for a Tango. Don't know if it was worth 9s. Robert. Not bad. He's better with ballroom than Latin. Rise and fall was a bit staccato in the middle. 8s yes, 9s no. Chris. His knees were bent too much. At times he looked uncomfortable and he didn't move much. I agree with Len. Patti. Once again she didn't do much. It was fun to watch. Too high. Rumer. I liked it. The song is not really a waltz so it was hard to do much basic. I think that was the first time they didn't use an actual waltz. I'll agree with the scores. Suzanne. Cute but that's the extent of it. The costume is unflatterin...

DWTS Season 20: Week 3

Loved the opening. Rumer. Fun but more disco than salsa. I'll agree with the scores. Charlotte. Don't pick up your feet in rumba. She didn't do much. Too high. Michael. He looked stiff. I didn't see any hips. Too high but he did more than Charlotte. Riker. Most salsa content I've seen so far. I agree with the scores. Suzanne. It was careful. Steps were very small. Hips were not really there. Too high. Chris. He barely took 5 steps. And they looked odd. Lifts were good, but Witney did all the work. Way too high. Robert. Hip movement disappeared after the first few steps. He tried but it seemed jerky. Not worth an 8. Patti. Such a good song but I saw no cha cha. And I didn't get what she was doing in the luggage cart. Although I prefer what she's wearing tonight rather than in rehearsal. Too high. Willow. I felt like she got lost a bit and couldn't finish some movements at other times. I'll give her the scores but a...

DWTS Season 20: Week 2

Chris. Not good. Bent knees, heel leads, off timing, no hips. It looked disjointed. I'll give him the scores. Suzanne. Very basic but more shaking than actual Jive. Feet needed to come together more, they stayed too far apart the entire time. Also her knees were too bent during the flicks. Too high. Robert. He looked slightly hunched and the facial expression got annoying. I'll give him props for getting the choreography. I'll give him the scores. Charlotte. I don't think she did one step properly. You don't pick your knees up in cha cha. Too high. Michael. He walked through it and he needs to tuck his butt under. Little too high. Rumer. New Yorkers need a little work and her spins looked choppy. I didn't see much hip action. I agree with the scores. Redfoo. Fun but wild and messy. Too high. Willow. Nice but there were a few hiccups with transitions. A little high but I'll give it to her. Noah. More country than samba. Eh, I...

DWTS Season 20: Week 1

Yay. I liked the opening video.  Willow. Some parts were good. Others were sloppy. Knees were bent to much. Too much swiveling to take up time. I'll agree with the scores. Robert. He surprised me with how enthusiastic he was. But he was too on his toes and no hips. He was sharp though. Can I have her dress? Scores are a little high. Riker. Energy, yes. Not much Jive and the parts that were I couldn't see his feet. 7s not 8s. Charlotte. Not much bounce and she seemed to forget half the routine. At least she did better than keo's last partner. I'll agree with the scores. Patti. She walked through it. She's going to have trouble with the Latin dances. The song is more a cha cha than foxtrot. I'll give her the scores. Chris. He did better than i thought he would. He needed to point his feet. I'll give him the scores. Michael. Stance was a bit wide, knees needed to be straight, footwork needs work. I'll give him the scores. Na...

DWTS season 20: cast reveal

Season 20 is almost upon us and the cast has been revealed! Patti LaBelle with Artem. I want to see her do well, but it's been proven that singing ability doesn't always translate to dancing ability with older people. Riker Lynch with Allison. He was on "Glee" therefore he can perform choreography. Whether he can pick up the proper technique is another issue. Charlotte McKinney with Keo. Models tend to be gone pretty quickly due to lack of fan base. Paired with Keo who was out week 1 last season (despite staying around for troupe numbers) and I don't know if that's going to change. Michael Sam with Peta. Football players are usually good with dancing ability. Willow Shields with Mark. An actress, could go either way. Rumer Willis with Val. Official press has her as an actress/singer but other sources say she has some dance performances under her belt. I think she'll go far. Noah Galloway with Sharna. A former soldier and double amputee, left ...
