And we're once again gearing up for another season of rhinestones under the mirror ball. Bobby Bones w/ Sharna. Radio show host. I've never heard of this guy, but he seems fun as he came out during the announcement. I have a feeling he'll be all limbs during the latin dances though. DeMarcus Ware w/ Lindsay Arnold. Football player. So these guys can be hit or miss in dancing ability, but always fan favorites and make it near the end. We shall see how he stacks up against the others. Milo Manheim w/ Witney Carson. Disney channel actor. I don't know about his dancing ability, but most Disney kids tend to be high energy which will work with the fast dances. But who knows how he'll take to the others. Danielle Umstead w/ Artem Chigvintsev. Paraolympian. So, I'm pretty sure this is our first visually impaired contestant. Dancing with the Stars is back! In a shortened form but I'll take it. The cast is as follows with my own commentary. Adam Rippon with Jenna Johnson. Figure skater. Adam is definitely a performer and I think he'll do well with the ballroom. Latin may be a bit tricky. Arike Ogunbowale with Gleb Savchenko. All I know is she's a college basketball player. She may still be in school, but at least the season is finished so she can concentrate on the show when not studying. Chris Mazdzer with Witney Carson. He placed 2nd in this year's luge at the Olympics. Good at controlling his body, but in small increments. May come across as dancing internally rather than outward to the audience. Jamie Anderson with Artem Chigvintsev. Olympic snowboarders are hit and miss from past appearances, but I think she'll be ok for the most part. Jennie Finch Daigle with Keo Motsepe. Softball player. Have no idea who she is but hopefully she can help Keo get past his first eliminat...

The cast has been revealed for season 25. 25? Ack. Shark Tank entrepreneur Barbara Corcoran with Keo Motsepe The last shark that came on the show was not good, but he ended up marrying his partner so I think that was the better prize. I don't think that will happen this season. Hopefully she'll surprise me with her dancing, but I'm not holding my breath. ’80s icon Debbie Gibson with Alan Bersten Congrats to Alan for being made a pro. I know of Debbie, but she was before my time for me to really know anything about her. NBA player Derek Fisher with Sharna Burgess No clue who he is, but I assume he's tall and will have trouble with the frame due to height differences. Whoo hoo! DWTS is coming back on. We're really in season 24? How long have I been watching this show? Sheesh. Onto my opinions Bonner Bolton with Sharna Burgess. 2nd bull rider ever on the show. I'm probably one of the few people who he is. Like Ty Murray (the previous bull rider) he's most likely going to be likeable enough to stick around for a few weeks even if he can't dance. Charo with Keo Motsepe. The old lady of the group. I've heard she has some latin experience, but I think she'll tend more toward comedic routine rather than high quality dancing. Chris Kattan with Witney Carson. I vaugely recall him from SNL. I think he was on in the 90s. I have no clue what to expect from him, David Ross with Lindsay Arnold. Baseball player. Oh joy! It's that time of year again. Time to see what celebrities decided to journey through the sparkly world that is DWTS. And Maks is back! So, onto my pre-dance opinions Laurie Hernandez w/ Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Of all the olympic floor routines I saw from team USA, she was the one who actually danced the most. I'm looking forward to this pairing. Gymnasts tend to go far. Marilu Henner w/ Derek Hough.One of the older competitors, she also hosted America's Ballroom Challenge. I think she has a fair amount of ballroom experience. Thus the reason she's paired with Derek, the golden boy. Amber Rose w/ Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Yay Maks! Don't know much about her, I do see a poster in the subway for her new show. Ryan Lochte w/ Cheryl Burke. Oh boy. Why? Can I hope he's horrible and goes home the first week? Actress Marla Maples (Donald Trump’s ex-wife) partnered with Tony Dovolani While it's nice to know she's famous for something other than being his ex. I don't think he needs any more publicity than he's getting. She seems to be one of the younger women Tony has been paired with. 2. “The O.C.” alum Mischa Barton partnered with Artem Chigvintsev I never watched this show, but nice to know Artem's back. 3. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown partnered with Sharna Burgess I think this is a position that's good at running. So fitness level should be there. 4. It's that time of year again. The cast of Dancing with the Stars, season 21 have been announced today. Time for pre-dance predictions. Tamar Braxton w/ Val : Toni Braxton's younger sister and current The Real host. Toni was on a while ago and did fairly well. I believe Tamar can do equally well and make it into the latter stages of the competition. Gary Busey w/ Anna : Anna's back, yay! But unless he's going to surprise me, I don't think Gary's going to stick around very long. Nick Carter w/ Sharna: Be still my teen heart. My favorite member of my preferred 90's boyband is finally doing the show. I attended a show when his brother was on, maybe I can swing a trip to L.A. this season. Probably not. Season 20 is almost upon us and the cast has been revealed! Patti LaBelle with Artem. I want to see her do well, but it's been proven that singing ability doesn't always translate to dancing ability with older people. Riker Lynch with Allison. He was on "Glee" therefore he can perform choreography. Whether he can pick up the proper technique is another issue. Charlotte McKinney with Keo. Models tend to be gone pretty quickly due to lack of fan base. Paired with Keo who was out week 1 last season (despite staying around for troupe numbers) and I don't know if that's going to change. Michael Sam with Peta. Football players are usually good with dancing ability. Willow Shields with Mark. An actress, could go either way. Rumer Willis with Val. Official press has her as an actress/singer but other sources say she has some dance performances under her belt. I think she'll go far. Noah Galloway with Sharna. Well, the cast for the upcoming season has finally been (officially) announced. Here are my pre-season opinions on the cast and their partners. Antonio Sabato Jr , 42,  General Hospital  (partnered with Cheryl Burke) The 'hot' guy of the season. He'll stick around for a bit just because the ladies want to see him with his shirt off. If he can actually dance, he'll make it far. Alfonso Ribeiro , 42,  Fresh Prince of Bel-Air  (partnered with Witney Carson) Carlton! He has rhythm, I think, and I'm pretty sure that famous dance of his will make an appearance at some point during the show. Hopefully he's a better dancer than his character was. Pretty sure this will be a fun partnership. Bethany Mota , 18, YouTube sensation (partnered with Derek Hough) I think I've seen her in the recent youtube commercials. It's that time again. Dancing with the Stars has announced their new cast. Time for my opinions and predictions. Sean Avery and Karina: I don't follow hockey so I have no idea who he is. When I watched the cast announcement I didn't feel like he had much of a personality. The only little bit was when he spun Karina at the end. He's the sports player for the season but I don't know how far he'll go. Candance Cameron-Bure and Mark: I used to love Full House. That being said I don't know how big the fanbase for her will be so hopefully she can dance and Mark doesn't do odd choreography again. Drew Carey and Cheryl: He's lost a lot of weight. If I hadn't seen the announcement, I would've put him in the 'not going to be able to move' category. Now I'm not sure. He is funny and it will probably keep him around for a while. I know I'm very late on this, but I was busy most of the day. Onto the cast! -Valerie Harper, with Tristan MacManus She's the soft spot of the competition with everything she's been going through lately. She may stick around a bit. - Bill Nye the Science Guy, with new dancer Tyne Stecklein I used to watch him on PBS a lot. While I don't think he'll be the best dancer, I do think he may be the goofy charmer that sticks around a bit. Of course, being paired with a new pro may be a handicap. -Brant Daugherty ( Pretty Little Liars, Army Wives ), with Peta Murgatroyd  I don't watch either of the shows, but he's hot and he's with Peta so he'll probably go far. If he ends up with two left feet, he'll probably still stick around more due to his looks. -Jack Osbourne, reality TV star, with Cheryl Burke  He may surprise us with like his sister did. The cast is here, and my opinions prior to seeing any of them dance: Grammy winner Wynonna Judd with Tony Dovolani As an older woman, she can either be really bad (too many of Tony's past partners to mention) or not so bad. Will she win? Probably not. But she may get to mid season if she's halfway decent. Political commentator DL Hugley with Cheryl Burke Comedian's have a tendency to be bad dancers on this show. Cheryl better cross her fingers he knows how to move. Baltimore Raven Jacoby Jones with Karina Smirnoff Moves on the field have a tendency to translate to the dance floor even if some aspects of the technique are missing. He should place well. Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump with Gleb Savchenko I don't watch any of these kind of reality shows so I have no idea who she is. The pro is new as well, so he doesn't bring much of a fan base with him as some other pros. But he looks pretty hot. If she can dance and they manage to win the hearts, at least ...

I was right with the majority of my guesses. Go me. Apolo and Karina. This was one of my misses. Don't know why I didn't think of these two together. I think it should be interesting to see the dynamics between them. Karina and Julianne's personalities are not very similar. Bristol and Mark. I realized I hadn't filed in alternate or most likely with her. Oops. I sort of feel bad for Mark having her again. Drew and Anna. I was correct with my alternate pick. Should be an interesting match up. Anna the task master may show up this season. Emmitt and Cheryl. I didn't think they would be paired together, let's see what they can do this year. Gilles and Peta. I was right with the alternate. They should be good together, Peta being taller than Cheryl should allow a better connection in the ballroom dances and argentine tango. Helio and Chelsea. Chelsea is probably the closest to Julianne in terms of height and personality but has a different edge to her. ...

Yay! Dancing With the Stars is back again. The cast has been announced, time for my opinions and my thoughts on who the pro partners will be. Although the DWTS site has 12 pros listed, they won't announce the partnerships until August especially since there's still one more celebrity that will cause one more pro to be needed. Apolo Ohno. I like him. He was the best of his season but it's been several years since he was on and now he has some competition. Original partner: Julianne Most likely to be with: Julianne (if she comes back this season, probably not and maybe only if Lacey doesn't dance with Kyle should he be voted in.) Alternate: Chelsea Bristol Palin. Why? Yes she got far, but she couldn't dance, wasn't very entertaining, and I'm not sure who actually liked her. Original partner: Mark Most likely: Alternate: Drew Lachey. Very likable. Will he still have the same chemistry with Cheryl? Well he have a different partner as she also danced...

My pre-season opinions of the new cast. 1. Sherrie Shepard & Val Chmerkovskiy. Sherrie's well known from the view. She's been coming to the studio events the last two times and knows her partner prior to jumping into rehearsals. I believe she should be able to entertain the crowd with her dances even if she doesn't end up being the best dancer. 2. Melissa Gilbert & Maks Chmerkovskiy. I personally don't know her, maybe I do but right now I can't recall anything I've seen her in previously. Other people know who she is though which helps with fan base. Her apparent back injury/surgery (from the blurb I read) may prove a hindering point though. I love Makes and hope they go far. 3. Jaleel White & Kym Johnson. Urkel! Way too long since I watched that show. The character he played is iconic so fan base is there. I hope he has some dance ability, but like Sherrie, I believe he'll entertain the crowd. 4.
