Sew Dance

It's done. I spent about 2 days on the backstitching. Also didn't really stitch for most of the week. It's hard to see, but there's blending filament around each of the small 'squares' of glitter by the fairies.

Not quite the same ring as to the bat cave but... All full and half cross stitches are complete. The 'grass' is going to be complicated as I'm doing black over black and the lines cross each other a lot. No TV for that part I guess.

Somewhat mindless work as I had a good 10 rows of complete black to fill in. Full cross stitches anyway. I'm at least on to the last bit of the piece. And just for the heck of it, Onyx looking cute.

Alright, not quite infinite, but I have a boatload of black to do now.

I'm done with page 3. Because my computer didn't get fixed until Friday, I had lots of time to spend stitching. I also decided to be lazy and stay in bed all weekend.

Saturday night we had a severe thunderstorm. Shaking the house type of storm. Unfortunately, my computer wouldn't boot up Sunday morning. I'm currently on my Dad's to type this. Of course this 'forced' me to stay in bed and stitch all day. Getting close to finishing page 3 of this. Also noteworthy, I have gone one entire month without buying stash. Any, over all my crafts. Yay?

I barely got anything done last week and by the time I did have something to post it was Tuesday. So I skipped a week. I finished another lamb and made a bunny. I managed to get a little done on Twilight Silhouette, but realized I had chosen the wrong color and had to rip out all of the half stitch black I had done. Lots of solid black stitching to come. Then Onyx decided to be a pair of shoes this morning.

So I caught a cold this week and stayed home a day. Good news is I had lots of time to stitch and catch up on TV. Still way behind on the TV, but I'm plodding along with Twilight Silhouette. Also, it was hard to do the black. I had 4 strand half stitches interspersed with 2 strand full stitches....

Actually it equals the following: I'm halfway done with Twilight Silhouette, and I've made 1 out of 3 amigurumi. I've also decided I'm on a stash diet. I need to get used to not having the extra cash around to buy things once I finally get a place of my own. Working on it though, the place, not the stash diet.

My weekend was taken up with apartment hunting and a delayed Valentine's day so I barely got any crafting done. And I'm 2-3 weeks behind on my TV. So thankful I got the larger capacity DVR. I have some crochet orders to get done so I don't know if I'll get back to this in the next week.

Only worked on Twilight Silhouette, and probably not as much time as I would have liked for various reasons. But I'm onto page 2, officially.

So, I couldn't quite get everything together to write this yesterday. Went looking at apartments. My progress on my stitching. The wings look pretty cool now that I'm not on top of it. I finished this lapghan. I had made it once before in a darker color. It needs some blocking though. Which reminds me, I need to looking into blocking boards.  And my new afghan/crochet project. And I'll leave you with a good picture of Onyx.

I spent a lovely snow day in my bed stitching. Onyx kept me company for most of it. Lots of progress. This was Onyx when I woke up. Before she decided to join me on my bed. I started dance lessons again. Yay for having an income again! Slightly more disappointing news, the last two latch hook kits from my 'yay i got a job/birthday' present to myself are probably not coming. Site says backordered until March, but I got a letter that says they're having trouble locating another supplier. :(

Not much done during the week. But here's the progress on Twilight Silhouette.

First week of work wiped me out. I ended up doing some 'mindless' crochet because I knew I couldn't concentrate on much else. I was done by 9pm. Started a new cross-stitch piece on the weekend. Twilight Silhouette. Almost all half cross-stitch but most is with 4 threads which makes pulling it through the fabric a bit hard..
