A Simple Flower Bouquet

Hi there :)

My card today uses the new(ish) stamp set from Altenew called Simple Flowers... it's just fabulous, and 'simple' is exactly what they are. I love the bold solid shapes that can be used for lots of pattern making too. I do like flowers but have to say that I tend to go for this kind of stamp set over the detailed line images...

I decided to make a simple cluster of flowers on stems to pop through the Rectangle Peek-a-boo window which is currently out of stock but any aperture die would work here.

These stamps don't have a matching die set but the shapes are really quite easy to trim around.
The hardest part is deciding on a pretty colour palette and arranging them 😉

The sentiment is made using the letters cut from Reverse Confetti's Happy Pretty Panel die
and part of a sentiment from Avery Elle's So Happy.

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)

Bold Blossom Background

Hi there everyone and happy Thursday! Lydia here with you sharing a card made with a new release set from Altenew.

As many of you know I am a lover of all floral images and the new Bold Blossom from Altenew is just stunning! I love that you don't have to colour the image so creating a whole background piece covered in flowers and leaves doesn't take that much time at all!

To start I stamped the solid flower image and stamped this into place all over my card blank using Cotton Candy Altenew Crisp Ink leaving quite big gaps between the flowers. I masked all of these off and then stamped the leaf images around them using Mountain Mist and Volcano Lake Crisp Ink, but you could use any aqua or green tones that you like.

After the leaves were all stamped I removed the masks on the flowers and stamped the other 2 layers on top using Purple Wine and Cosmic Berry Crisp Ink, but again any colours that you like will work and also change up the look of the card.

I added a sentiment onto some black card and matted this onto a piece of vellum before adding this to my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again soon.

Hugs, Lydia xxx
