Memories Lay-out with Lots of Frames + Tag

Oops, long time no see! It's been two weeks since I posted my latest creations, but in the meantime I haven't been lazy. I actually made a lay-out and a tag for the Creative Embellishments blog and I'm ready to show you them today. Let's start with the lay-out that I made!

Oeps, long time no see! Het is alweer twee weken geleden dat ik voor het laatste een creatie heb gedeeld op mijn blog, maar ik heb zeker niet stilgezeten in de tussentijd. Ik heb een lay-out en een tag voor Creative embellishments gemaakt. Vandaag laat ik ze je zien. Laten we beginnen met de lay-out die ik heb gemaakt!

For my lay-out, I was inspired by the current More Than Words challenge. I used the word "Memories" as the title and as an inspiration for my lay-out. The journaling at the top of my lay-out is in Dutch and says:

We have gone through a lot together!

Beautiful and less beautiful memories. But regardless of that, I want to say I love you very much!

Mijn lay-out is gebaseerd op de More Than Words-challenge. Ik heb het woord "Memories" als titel en als inspiratie voor mijn lay-out gebruikt. Ook heb ik een stukje tekst over dit onderwerp toegevoegd, bovenaan op mijn lay-out.

Besides, I would also like to show you a tag I recently made for Creative Embellishments, featuring two beautiful Monarch Butterflies from Creative Embellishments. 

Daarnaast wil ik je graag een tag laten zien die ik heb gemaakt voor Creative Embellishments. Hierop gebruikte ik twee mooie chipboardvlinders van Creative Embellishments.

Graphic 45 2018 Brand Ambassador Audition

Hi! 

Today I'm here with a very special blogpost: my Brand Ambassador Audition for Graphic 45. If you have been following my blog for quite some time, you probably already know that I am a huge fan of their gorgeous papers. I have been on the Graphic 45 design team for two years and have never stopped loving every little bit of Graphic 45's wonderful papers. I still have quite a lot of them in my stash and also regularly buy their beautiful new collections. 

It would be a huge honour for me to be an ambassador for this amazing brand, so I decided to give it a go and made two projects especially for this Brand Ambassador Audition: a lay-out and a card (including a step-by-step tutorial). 

Project #1 My lay-out

Okay, let's have a look at my lay-out first.  

Since I seriously can't pick only one favourite from all Graphic 45 collections, I decided to simply combine a whole lot of different collections on my lay-out. The papers and embellishments I used are from the following collections: Sweet Sentiments, Botanical Tea, Once Upon a Springtime, Botanique, A Ladies' Diary, French Country, Fairie Dust, Eerie Tale, Café Parisian and Children's Hour. Did you count them? Yes, I actually used 10 different collections on my lay-out!

I didn't only use papers from these collections, but also incorporated a lot of fussy cutting on my lay-out, as well as various matching die-cuts and chipboard pieces from these collections.

My lay-out consists of four different squares, as you might have already noticed. I used different papers, embellishments and colours for each square and positioned all squares on a large background.

Of course I just "had" to incorporate a photo in my lay-out. I decided to use a square photo of me and incorporated it in the left lower square on my lay-out. Below my photo, I also incorporated a small strip of paper with the brand name Graphic 45, just because I like the script of the brand name so much.

Project #2: Card (+ step-by-step tutorial)

Secondly, I will show you a card I made with the gorgeous Nature Sketchbook collection. I will show you step by step how you can make this card yourself.

Supply List:

Graphic 45 supplies:

Nature Sketchbook 12x12" Collection Pad

Nature Sketchbook Chipboard

Staples Ornate Metal Key Holes

Other supplies:

1 piece of linen cardstock (6x8")

1 chipboard tag

4" of lace 

1 old book page

Adhesive pearls

Tools:

Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain

Scissors

Double-sided adhesive tape

Cutting tool

Aleene's Tacky Glue

Step 1:

Fold a piece of linen cardstock measuring 6x8" in the middle. Then cut out three rectangles (sizes: 5,5x7,5", 5x7" and 4,5x6,5") from three different sheets of patterned paper.

Step 2:

Ink the edges of the papers with brown distress ink. 

Step 3:

Then attach the rectangles onto the card base using adhesive tape.

Step 4:

Take a page from an old book and cut a small rectangle from it. Tear the left edge of the book page and subsequently ink all the edges with brown distress ink.

Step 5:

After that, cut out a tag from one of the papers. Ink the edges and then attach the tag in the middle of the card.

Step 6:

Take a chipboard tag and a chipboard piece from the Nature Sketchbook Chipboard set. Also cut out a flower card, two separate flowers and a large butterfly from the papers.

Step 7:

Position the chipboard tag in the center of the card and attach the flower card, the chipboard butterfly, the fussy cut flowers and the fussy cut butterfly on top of the chipboard tag.

Step 8:

Then attach two metal key holes from the Staples package on the left and right side of the card using tacky glue. Also add a small chipboard tag (with the text Bee Yourself) together with a piece of lace in the right lower corner of the card. Use tacky glue to attach it.

Step 9:

Then cut out four small butterflies from one of the Nature Sketchbook papers.

Step 10:

Attach the tiny butterflies onto the card with tacky glue. Finally, add a few adhesive pearls to the card as well as a finishing touch.

Final result:

Now your card is done!

My first lay-out since a long time

It's been quite some time since I created my last lay-out. So I decided that it was time to create a scrapbook page again for a change. I had a few gorgeous large chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments in my stash, which were the perfect reason to make this lay-out for the Creative Embellishments blog. 

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden sinds ik voor het laatst een scrapbookpagina heb gemaakt. Hoog tijd om daar weer eens verandering in te brengen! Ik had nog een aantal grote chipboardfiguren van Creative Embellishments liggen en ging daar direct mee aan de slag voor de Creative Embellishments-blog. 

I used a Large Clock Face on my lay-out, as well as two Grunge Square Frames and a Brick Piece from Creative Embellishments. All chipboard pieces were only lightly inked with brown distress ink.

Ik heb op mijn lay-out een Large Clock Face gebruikt en daarnaast twee Grunge Square Frames en een Brick Piece van Creative Embellishments. Alle chipboardfiguren heb ik alleen licht aangezet met bruine inkt.

I decided to scrap a photo of me and used "Comfortable" as the theme for my lay-out, being inspired by the current More Than Words challenge. I also used purple, blue and lilac on my lay-out, the colour palette for the current challenge. As you can see on my lay-out, I handwrote the word "Comfortable" on my lay-out and also journalled about this theme. In my journaling, I wrote about 3 things that make me feel more comfortable.

Op mijn lay-out scrapte ik een foto van mezelf en ik gebruikte "Comfortabel" als thema voor mijn lay-out. Daarbij was ik geïnspireerd door de More Than Words-challenge. Ook heb ik op mijn lay-out gewerkt met paars, blauw en lila, het kleurenpalet dat bij deze challenge hoort. Zoals je op mijn lay-out kunt zien, heb ik het woord "Comfortabel" op mijn lay-out geschreven en heb ik ook journaling over dit thema toegevoegd op mijn lay-out. In mijn journaling heb ik geschreven over 3 dingen die mij een comfortabel gevoel geven.

Het papier dat ik heb gebruikt, is van Maja Design. Verder heb ik verschillende bloemen en metalen embellishments op mijn lay-out verwerkt.

This time I mixed and matched three different ScrapBerry's collections: Forest, Primavera and Words Live Forever to scrap a photo of my mom's best friend and her dog. I think they make such a cute couple.

I layered many different sheets of paper on top of each other and embellished my lay-out with a few chipboard pieces and lovely ScrapBerry's embellishments, such as a polymer feather and orange flowers. The chipboard frame is from Creative Embellishments.

Ik heb veel verschillende vellen papier door elkaar gebruikt en heb mijn lay-out versierd met verschillende chipboardvormen en leuke enbellishments van scrapBerry's, zoals een resin veer en de oranje bloemen. Het chipboardframe is overigens van creative Embellishments.

MEOW Lay-Out (for Creative Embellishments)

Last week it was International Cat Day. In order to honour our own two four-legged furry friends I decided to create a lay-out about our adorable kitty Beertje. Creative Embellishments offers a few wonderful chipboard cats and I also used a few other chipboard pieces of theirs to create this tribute to our cat. Afgelopen week was het Internationale Kattendag. Speciaal voor onze eigen Beertje maakte ik deze lay-out. Creative Embellishments heeft recent een aantal leuke chipboard katten uitgebracht, die perfect bij mijn foto pasten. Ook gebruikte ik een paar andere chipboardfiguren van Creative Embellishments om mijn lay-out verder mee te versieren. Je kon mijn lay-out trouwens ook al eerder bekijken op de Creative Embellishments-blog.

I altered all chipboard pieces with brown ink to give them a vintage look. The papers that I used are from Bo Bunny's Happy Tails collection.

Ladylike Lay-out for Creative Embellishments

Hi!

It's time to show you another project that I made for the Creative Embellishments design team. I decided to create a girly and pink lay-out featuring lots of glitters and romantic details. The photos on this lay-out were taken by José Chan.

Ik heb vandaag weer een nieuwe creatie te laten zien die ik heb gemaakt voor Creative Embellishments. Het is een roze en meisjesachtige lay-out geworden met lekker veel glitter en romantische details. De foto's op deze lay-out zijn gemaakt door José Chan.

I used the Chained to your Heart Frame, which was perfect for drawing attention to my pictures. I also used two Tiny Fairies on the left and right side of my lay-out for an elegant twist. For my title, I used one of the Border Words with the text Adore. I adorned all chipboard pieces with a layer of glitter.

Ik heb het Chained to Your Heart Frame gebruikt om de aandacht op de foto's te vestigen. Ook gebruikte ik twee Tiny Fairies links en rechts op mijn lay-out. Verder heb ik voor de titel een van de Border Words van Creative Embellishments gebruikt, namelijk het woord Adore. Ik heb alle chipboard vormen voorzien van een laagje glitter.

With this lay-out I'm also playing along with the current challenge over at More Than Words. I used their steampunk theme (the frame, the gears and the teared elements) and the word 'Father' on my lay-out. 

Met deze lay-out doe ik ook mee aan de wedstrijd bij More Than Words. Ik gebruikte het steampunkthema (het frame, de tandwielen en de gescheurde elementen) en het woord 'Father' op mijn lay-out. 

BTW, the frame and the gears are all from Creative Embellishments, an amazing chipboard manufacturer. And I have great news, because I made their design team. I'm so excited and can't wait to start designing together with all the other fabulous artists. You will soon see more of my creations made with their beautiful chippies :) 

Trouwens, het frame en de tandwielen van chipboard zijn van Creative Embellishments, een hele gave chipboardfabrikant. En ik heb goed nieuws: ik zit vanaf juli in hun designteam. Zo leuk! Mother Lay-Out for Pion Design & More Than Words Challenges

Hi!

First of all, I would like to announce some awesome news: I have a fulltime job now :) I'm going to work at the communication department of a Dutch bank and I'm so looking forward to it! 

I will start there in two weeks, which means that I have some extra time to scrapbook until then. And scrapbooking is just what I did :) So I have a new lay-out to share with you today, which I made for the Pion Design lay-out challenge and for the current More Than Words challenge. 

Hoi!

Ten eerste heb ik een leuk nieuwtje te delen: ik begin heel binnenkort aan mijn eerste echte fulltime baan! Ik ga werken als communicatiemedewerker bij een bank en heb er nu al onwijs veel zin in. Aangezien ik pas over twee weken officieel begin en mijn andere werk heb opgezegd, heb ik nu wat extra tijd om te scrappen. En dat is precies wat ik de afgelopen dagen heb gedaan! Ik heb dan ook een nieuwe lay-out te laten zien vandaag, die ik maakte voor de Pion Design challenge en voor de wedstrijd bij More Than Words.

I love the beautiful papers from Pion Design and used several collections to make this lay-out.

Ik ben helemaal weg van het mooie papier van Pion Design en heb verschillende collecties door elkaar gebruikt om deze lay-out te maken.

I'm also playing along with the Mother & Flowers challenge over at More Than Words. I used two lace flowers on my lay-out and scrapped a photo of me and my mother. The title 'Mother' was handdrawn. I'm not that good in handlettering, but I decided to give it a go for a change.

Ik doe met mijn lay-out ook mee aan de Mother & Flowers challenge bij More Than Words. Ik heb op mijn lay-out twee kanten bloemen gebruikt en een foto van mij en mijn moeder. De titel 'Mother' heb ik zelf geschreven. Ik ben niet echt een ster in handletteren, maar vond het wel leuk om eens te proberen.
