Fall Color

I had some extra time, so thought I'd do a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. The colors this Fall were so pretty, so on Thanksgiving, we took some photos in front of one of Mom's trees in her backyard. The top that Renee was wearing kind of blended right into the tree!

Materials- Patterned Paper- American Crafts Autumn Crisp, Flowers- Prima and Recollections, Brads- Making Memories, Stickers- Simple Stories- 24/Seven, Doodle Bug Shades of Fall Cardstock Stickers and some from my stash, Little Yellow Bicycle Stick Pins, Ink- Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink

Miss Islas First Halloween

I used this sketch I found at Inspired Blueprints to do a layout of Isla's first Halloween. I didn't want to use traditional Halloween papers for this layout, so I decided on using the SoHo Garden from American Crafts because of the great red and black papers in it. Here is the sketch I used. It is Sketch #91.

And here is my interpretation of it....

I had fun using some decorative tape and also made some flowers with my Silhouette. This one is going into Islas first year Baby book. She's growing so fast.

Hello Sunshine

I found a nice sketch over at My Creative Sketches and decided to give it a try! I'm working on Isla's baby book and it's coming together nicely. Here is the sketch I used....

I once again cut a background out with my Silhouette! I'm loving this machine SO much lately! It's just the handiest thing around. Instead of the banner, I strung a row of brightly colored buttons across my page. I used some great SoHo Garden papers from American Crafts and with some co-ordinating embellishments, this came together pretty quickly!

Love Them

I found this sketch at My Creative Sketches and decided to use it for a layout of my girls!

This is another one going into Chantal's album. The girls had PJ night at our house and of course, that required a photo shoot! They are such goofs!

I used some American Crafts Soho Garden papers and embellishments that I had won. I just love the bright colors in this collection. I also pulled out some of those old scissors to cut around the edges of the paper and because I love the sewn look, I took some kind of little wheel thingy ( sorry can't remember what it is called), ran it through some paint and did some faux stitching. One day, I may have to learn how to use the sewing machine. LOL!

Life is Good

I used  Sketch #86 from Inspired Blueprints to do this layout of Renee and Isla. I had won some really great American Crafts papers and embellishments and couldn't wait to use them on a layout. I love the bold, bright color palette in this line. It's so easy to put together a layout when you have all the matching items.
