Stampendous! October New Release Peeks

Good  morning!  Its finally release peek week at Stampendous!  Check in at the Stampendous Blog every day this week for links to the DT members showcasing new releases and we will be ending with a Blog Hop and prizes this Saturday!

Today I am showing you a card that made the back cover of the new October Stampendous Catalog with a couple of adorable new stamps.

I started with one of the new Vintage Kids stamps, Kids on Wheels and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers to match this vintage paper from My Mind's Eye.  I also added a bit of distressing with my Old Paper Tim Holtz pad to age the white cs a bit.

And the new Life is a Circus stamp was the perfect sentiment to go along with these adorable children. (There's also a new range of Vintage Circus stamps so go check those out too!)  All of these stamps should be showing up in your local stamp stores soon so be on the lookout!

OK, so do yu want some more inspiration?  Here's the list of the DT playing today:

Dreamweavery Glitter

&
Sadly its our last week of the Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter collaboration, but that means you still have one more week to play along with our Double Glitter and/or Wedding Challenge at Dreamweaver Stencils!

I am so happy with the way my card turned out today...I finally feel like my mojo has come home!  It may have been the color inspiration from this My Minds Eye Indie Chic Ginger paper pad.  That led me to pull out the gray-ish glitter and dark orange from the Court Jester Pee Wee Kit.  I also used two of the paler colors from the Glitter Garden kit for the 2nd step of my Dbl Glitter (the backgrounds of the Bird Cage and bird).  My bird is actually cut out from the larger Love Birds stencil

Here's a closer look at all the yummy glitter:

I used Karen G's sketch for my layout today.  The delicate border is Tiffany border die from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Visit the Art Glitter blog and the Dream It Up! blog for fabulous inspiration from both talented design teams. We are encouraging all of you to play along with the challenge of creating withDreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter*, preferably using the Double-Glitter Technique with a wedding theme. Just link your creation to the Mr. Linky on the Dream It Up! blog, or email pics to lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com, for an opportunity to win one of four fabulous glitter and stencil prize packages. One winner will be chosen each week. (US and Canada only, please).

Dreamweaver Stencils January Challenge

Good morning! Post 2 of the day...if you are here for the Simply Betty stamps preview scroll down!

We are continuing on with our January Valentine theme at Dreamweaver Stencils and I used Heart Swirls again this week for a totally different look.  This is the relatively simplest technique that one can achieve with a stencil.  I first ran the stencil through my cuttlebug then leaving it on the paper I used a dauber to add ink to the open areas with Tim Holtz's Fired Brisk distress ink pad.  Then I went back over the dots with my C9 copic marker.

I hand cut out the heart leaving a touch of a border then mounted it on a black scallop heart cut with a Lifestyle Crafts Scallop Hearts die and then raised that up with some dimensional squares.

Here's the side view so you can get a better idea of the raised effect.  The edges of the pattern paper (My Minds Eye) was distressed with the same Fired Brick pad and my ribbon treatment was created with red May Arts ruffled ribbon and some black ribbon from Michael's.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Dream team came up with for today, and also head over to the Dream it Up! blog to enter your creation!  There's still 2 weeks left to play along for your chance to win!

Challenge List:
Dreamweaver Stencils: Valentines Day (DT)
Paper Cupcakes: From the Heart
Little Red Wagon: Two different ribbons
Crazy Challenge: Tic tac Toe (ribbon, embossing, die cut)
Craft us Crazy: Valentines

Funky Valentine Betty Preview

Last day of previews before release day tomorrow at Simply B Stamps!  Meet My Funky Valentine Betty...squeeeel!!  I had fun pairing her up with some not quite Steampunk paper, out of my stash and old as the hills from My Minds Eye!

Here'a a close shot at her...isn't she a doll???

I made the card into a Buckle card by inserting half the strip behind the panel on the back piece and then the top half folds and slides into an opening cut into the front of the card.  Sentiment is from Stampendous!

A little lone bird...

Happy Tuesday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful break and enjoyed their families over the Holidays!  We had a great Christmas, very little arguing amongst the kids, LOL.  I haven't done much crafting the last few days BUT I have finally started reading a series that my DD Rachael has been trying to get me to read forever...The Hunger Games Trilogy.  Its amazing if you've never read it.  Finished the second book this morning ( I could only read 320 or so pages last night before sleep took over). I will begin the final book, Mockingjay tonight, so I have birds on the brain!

Here's a card I designed for my January Stamp-a-Stack in Charlotte using the new Lone Bird from Stampendous!  HE was embossed with Clear Bark EP from the Scenic Collection over some pattern paper from My Minds Eye.  The cirlces were both cut with Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles...a great value!  20 dies for just $24.99!!  Thats 3 times the dies you get for the same price from Spellbinders!!

At the bottom of the card I've layered three rows cut with one of the dies from the new Lifestyle Crafts Edge It Kit...2 in the brown and 1 in a pattern.  What a gorgeous yet easy to achieve look!  Here's a peek at this set:

Well thats it today, I must go to my Stamp Room!  Its calling my name :)  Thanks for popping in! Don't forget about my sketch challenge!

Quick card

It's time for me to get back to blogging more often!  So here's a pretty CAS card for me today...this is one from my last Stamp-a-Stack in Charlotte using a cupcake from Impression Obsession and sentiment from Stamping Bella.  Paper is by MME.

The circles are cut with Nesting Scallop circles from Lifestyle Crafts, and I added just a touch of sparkle with Stampendous! Clear Multi UF Glitter.

That's it this morning, but more fun coming tonight!

This is Cupcake Lola, one of the new Teen Scene Cooking Fun images.  I couldn't resist pairing her with this cupcake paper from My Mind's Eye.  The  card is actually a gatefold, but I didn't get a hot of it that way, sorry!  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

Here's Lola up close, I just love the way her hair turned out with her low lights!

And this is Baking Betty, mixing up some holiday yumminess!  This sentiment is by Hero Arts.  Both of these cards are part of a stamp-a-stack that I'm doing at Family Memories in Charlotte on Monday.

Now, be sure to head to the Simply Betty Stamps blog to see more eye candy from the rest of the DT and to leave a comment for a chance to win some TS images!!

Getting Sketchy...

We are getting sketchy at Simply Betty Stamps Challenge blog this week!  All you have to do is use any sketch you want!  How easy is that??  You don't even have to use a Simply Betty image (of course we lurve when you do!!)  AND you have 2 weeks!!

Here's what I came up with using one of the new SBS Teen Scene Halloween images: Mummy London!  I am so in love with this image, maybe its the cat?

Here's a closeup of her, and the sentiment is new from Stampendous! called Haunty Halloween.  For my sketch I chose Jen's Deconstucted sketch which you can see below:

OK, so I had to share what the FABULOUS prize is for this weeks challenge at Simply Betty...its this new Addams Family Portrait stamp in rubber!

Also, while you're at the Challenge blog: you can also do last week's Scrappy Challenge to make a treat container!  (Challenges are open for 2 weeks)  And the fabulous prize for THAT is your very own BLINKIE!!  How cool is that?  Did you see my new one Betty designed for me on my sidebar?!!

OK, so what are you waiting for?!  Go get stampy!  -Cyndi

Fab'n'Funky Challenge

OK, I am going to add a tracking device to my memory card and card reader.  I have hunted for HOURS today and it is still hiding from me.  So, in desperation I have turned to my DD's camera.  I apologize for the blurry photos.  Sigh

Its challenge time again at Fab'n'Funky!  This week its all about friendship and our lovely sponsor is Robyn's Digital Fetish!   Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.

I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch for this week for my layout, some papers from My Minds Eye, and sentiment from Stampendous!    I also added Stampendous! Yellow Pastel and Mint Green glitter.

Be sure to check back in for another post later today!

And I still have Stampendous! Blog Candy up for grabs!!

Pretty in PInk Velvet

Happy Friday my peeps! I am up for the Inspiration post at Inky Impressions today and I had a moment of pink weakness.

I found this lovely piece of pink velvet ribbon in my stash the other day as I was sorting ribbons and knew I had to use it this week! SO the Rose pink ribbon was my Inspiration for cute Zoe all dressed up and ready to play!

Once I had decided on my ribbon I found a color challenge that coordinated and went with that! So this week I am also playing along with Color Throwdown.

You can pick up Zoe's Dress Up Day at the Inky Impressions store at a great price right now! I've also used an Inky Impressions sentiment at the bottom of the card.

I have a "challenge" for you! Go to your ribbon stash (I know you have one) and pick out a beautiful piece and create something around the ribbon!

Thanks for coming by!
