Last Day of School

I have a teacher card for you today for those who still need them! This is World Boy, one of the many images I won over at Bugaboo Stamps a couple of weeks back. Play along with the challenges at Catch the Bug Challenge blog and YOU can win too! This week's challenge was "Anything Goes".

OK, so its the last day of school and I definitely have mixed feelings. Its so nice to have a break...but now I have an 8 year old home all summer...

"can we go to the pool, can I have a friend, can we build legos, can we go to Target, can we go to McDonalds, will you play Halo, I'm bored, my sisters are being mean" He will only sit and color with Mommy for so long LOL. And we are in a new neighborhood with no boys anywhere close by. Sigh.

For my little guy I used some Joy ride papers from Cosmo Cricket and a little scrap of cork that I cut with my zig zag scissors! The sentiment is from a Stampendous! set called School for Changito. He is sadly retired now, but I picked mine up at my local Michael's store...they tend to have some of the older hard to find sets!

OK, just a quick post this morning! Have to finish up my HOP post for tomorrow! Be sure to come back!!

Desert Island Crafters Challenge

Its time for another itinerary at Desert Island Crafters Challenge blog! This time it was my pick and I thought I would throw a few more curves at you:

Cyndi's Itinerary:
1. Use glimmer Mist or similar
2. Orange
3. Something recycled
4. Pull out your scraps!
5. Chipboard
6. Anything but a card
7. 2+ images
8. Glitter or Bling
9. pull out those chalks
10. A hand-made embellishment

I used the adorable image Skelekinz Cupcake Stroller from Bugaboo Stamps. I was going to pretend that those are ice cream cones in the stroller since that’s what is on the cute paper from Echo Park, but now with my chipboard piece the ice cream cones look like cupcakes!

My layout for the card is based on this weeks sketch at Die Cut Dreams.

From my itinerary I used Glimmer mist (on the flowers and chipboard); bling (rhinestones and skullie flower center…isn’t he cute!!), recycled something (a paperclip…ok, well its repurposed at least), orange (my favorite color), chipboard (the bracket) and scraps.

Here’s a close up of the cutie herself :)

And here’s a ook at the chipboard. It’s a piece of Maya Road chipboard that I inked with Lime Pastel Versacolor then spritzed with Glimmer Mist once that was dry.

And finally the cute flowers. The polka dot one from my stash was a perfect find!! I added a cute skellie center to my flower…got it from Betty’s Store in Greensboro.

OK, so you have until June 14th to enter our little Desert Island challenge…hope to see you there!!

Challenge List:

Desert Island Crafters Challenge: Cyndi’s Itinerary

Die Cut Dreams: sketch

Catch the Bug: Bright Colors

Pile It On: The Sprinkle in My Life

Fussy and Fancy: Recipe Challenge

A Spoonful of Sugar: Flower Power

Thanks for strolling by my blog today! I appreciate each of you!

May Flowers

Can you believe its almost Mother's Day? Where has this year gone? Well, in honor of mom and all the pretty flowers I whipped up this little cutie for you using BBbugs Ladybug from Bugaboo Stamps...she is one of the 7 digis that I won last week by playing along in the Catch the Bug Challenge!

This weeks Bugaboo Stamps challenge is May flowers and Pastel colors. So I hand drew a few flowers to mimic the leaf in the image and added them around my bug.

For the layout of my card I used Lori's sketch over at Papercraft Planet...I thought it was fun and different! My papers are old from a Marcella 8x8 paper pad I picked up at Michael's a long time back...but I was really in a purple mood and the colors were pastel-ey without being too pale (yech).

I pulled out my sewing machine again, yeah me!! I need another table of some sort in my new stamp room dedicated to my sewing machine, cuttlebug, and Cricut. But I haven't figured that out yet, sigh.

The sentiment is from Stampendous!, the jumbo ric rac die is by My Favorite Things, and cardstock is Bazzill, copics are pictured below.

Challenge List:
Catch the Bug: May flowers and Pastels
Stamptacular Sunday: MUMS the word
Tuesday Throwdown: Mother's Day
The Stamping Boutique: Winged Things

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Mother's Day :)

Clean and SImple and Monochromatic

I know, two thins you NEVER hear from me...clean and simple OR monochromatic. Both are very hard for me...I love lots of color and lots of layers!

But I took on 2 main challenges with this one, to keep it simple for this weeks Splitcoast Stampers CAS challenge (to use cut up sentiments) and to stay with one color and neutrals, the challenge at Catch the Bug this week.

This is the chosen one, from the Har Repotter collection no less, by Bugaboo Stamps. Ive chosen to keep him mainly in tones of grays to match my Creative Imaginations Harry Potter paper. I threw in a touch of burgundy for my color (Gryffindor colors).

The sentiment I created on my mac, its a quote from The Goblet of Fire. Other supplies used: Petite Oval Nestabilties, Zig zag border punch by EK, Copic Markers, Creative Impressions ribbon.

Challenge List:
Splitcoast Stampers: CAS112 Cut up Sentiments
Catch the Bug: Monochromatic
Pile it On: Cutie Patootie
Cards for Men: Embossing (the punch embosses)
Meljen's: Punches
Digital Tuesday: for the kids

OK, I am signing off for the night. Must get little one to bed. He's giving us trouble getting up in the morning lately. Sigh.

Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

Just a quickie post this morning with this cute Bugaboo Stamps image, Ava Umbrella. I started her for last weeks Scallop challenge at Catch the Bug (Bugaboo Stamps' Challenge Blog) but keep forgetting that the entries close down 2 days ahead. Luckily it fits for this week as well, Baby Child Theme.

She of course still has some scallops on the card, the jumbo scallop die from Spellbinders along with the top of the Nestie. I added a few gems and this adorable sparkly skull that I found in the discount bin at Michael's. Sentiment is A Muse and embossing folder is Tim Holtz Dot Matrix from Sizzix.

That's it for now :) Have a great day! -Cyndi

YOU make Good Times Great!!

I have another quick card for you today! Its was feeling awful springy to me so I picked some fun cheery colors and cute Deacon on his Swing. He was a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps a couple of weeks back and I absolutely ADORE the Ava & Deacon line of stamps from Bugaboo!!

I started colring him for the green theme last week, but he didn't get done in time. Love the way the colors turned out though :) So luckily I get to use him for this week's "Anything Goes" challenges at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog.

The sentiment on the tag is from Hero Arts. Copics are pictured below. I printed him 3 times and cut out the extra 2 tree tops to put above the main image then moved the strip part of the sketch up so I could make it the tree branch :)

Challenges:
Stamp Something: digi Day
Fab n Funky: Spring Into Action
Cute Card Thursday: Signs of Spring
Do You Stack Up?: Just Green It
The Crazy Challenge: Here Comes Spring

Thanks for swinging by my blog today! Hope you have a great week!

One more friggin' candle

I just love Stella...she is a hoot. I started this card for one of the Bugaboo mini challenges last week and never finished it so I thought I would finish it up today. I used "One More Candle" Stella from Bugaboo Stamps.

The sketch from Sketch Saturday was the inspiration for the layout and I pulled out some fun colors from this Bo Bunny paper for Stella.

One last closeup of Stella...

Challenge List:
Creative Inspirations Challenge: Birthday Celebration
Digi Doodle Shop: Anything Goes

Thats it! Thanks for stopping by!

Bugaboo Stamps Birthday Bash Challenge

I got caught up today in making some fun cards for the Birthday Bash going on over at Bugaboo Stamps! Such fun, unique and whimsical images!!

This is Ava Cupcake from the Ava Deacon Collection by Bugaboo Stamps. I colored her with some fun bright copic colors that I matched to this old but fun Doodlebug paper that was in my stash.

The Birthday wishes sentiment is by A Muse. I added some free handed doodling around this panel as well as around the main image. And more of those FUN pom poms at the bottom!!

LOVE the little skulls on the cuppy cake! This card is for the Birthday Challenge at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog.

Another card made with Deacon:

This one is for the Anything Goes Mini Challenge. (Also at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. There are mini challenges all week) I added a row of Bazzill clear Bling up the side of the black mat. Paper for this is from the new Bo Bunny line.

A closeup of Deacon with his skull rose. Love it!!

Ok, thats it for tonight! Have a great one :0
