WNW: New technique

Hi there and welcome to another Wags'nWhiskers challenge.
This time the theme is "New technique".


Even though I've done this technique many times, it was the first time to actually combine it with a stamped image of a "person-like"-image.
I used a sheet (got it as packaging for a product, see... I have a lot and someday it somes in handy *lol*), stamped on it with some alcohol inks, stamped the image on the other side with StazOn and used the Tim Holtz blending solution on the alcohol inks side to undo the skin of the image.
Putting a blush-colored cardstock behind the sheet so her skin wouldn't be blue or white like the other cardstocks I used, some stickles and voila... here you have it....

Another tip: You really should stamp on the other side where you used your alcohol ink. As you can see in the image, the sentiment isn't exactly nicely stamped.

Wags'nWhiskers challenge: Kraft

Hi there and welcome to another Wags'nWhiskers challenge!

This time we like to see KRAFT on your project and let's be honest, who doesn't like kraft??!! It's so versatile and can be with almost any color.
For my project I wanted to make a 70's kinda look. Just loooooooooove those patterned papers!
Also used "Hannah", my most used Wags'nWhiskers stamp. I just loooooooove her and she's so versatile to use for different kind of cards.

Anyways... here's my card, colored with my Speccies (or Spectrum Noirs as they're called officially ;))

Wags'nWhiskers Challenge: 1, 2, 3

Hi en welkom bij een nieuwe Wags'nWhiskers Challenge :)

This challenge we'd like to see 1, 2, and 3 items on your card: 1 image, 2 ribbons and 3 designer papers.
I used one of my most used Wags'nWhiskers Images Hannah. Used her on so many cards/projects already and can't get enough of her.
Ditmaal willen we 1, 2, 3 items op je kaart zien: 1 afdrukje, 2 lintjes en 3 designer papiertjes.
Ik heb één van m'n meest gebruikte Wags'nWhiskers stempels weer eens gebruikt: Hannah. Ik heb haar al zoveel afgedrukt (klinkt niet echt lekker...hahah) voor kaarten en projecten, maar kan niet genoeg van dit schattige stempeltje krijgen.

For the designer papers, I used my all time fav manufacturer Basic Grey. I really must stop buying those papers... got so many left :) But nowadays I almost only buy the paperpads to make cards with.
I didn't use any sentiment or much embellishments on the card, so I can use it for all kind of occasions.
Voor het designerpapier heb ik weer eens gebruik gemaakt van mijn aloude favoriete papiermerk Basic Grey. Ik moet echt stoppen met het kopen van die papiertjes... heb er nog zoveel :) Maar tegenwoordig koop ik eigenlijk alleen nog maar hun paperpads om kaarten mee te maken.
Ik heb geen tekst op het kaartje gebruikt, evenals zeer weinig embellishments, zodat ik dit kaartje voor diverse gelegenheden kan gebruiken.

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: Anything goes

Hi there and welcome to another Friday, a very special one for me as it's only 1 more sleep till the Art Specially Event overhere in The Netherlands.
It's the best stamp- and scrapbookingshow we have overhere where all of my fave shops are gathered, so think my purse won't like it as much as I *lol*

Anyways... today is also the start of another Wags'nWhiskers Challenge. This time the theme is "Anything goes", so pleas join in!! :)

Here's my creation. Wanted to use a tag on it and some neutrals as I had those papers already on my desk.

Don't you just looooooooove the sentiment "Friendship lightens every burden and makes the sun shine brighter"?? I sure do, specially in combination with this sweet image.

WnW Challenge: Spring Break

Hi there and a very warm welcome to you all!

It's time for another Wags'nWhiskers Challenge *whoowhoo!!*
This time it's called "Spring Break", you can think anything with that in mind.

I used the gorgeous stamp Rhiannon (you can buy her here for USA and Canada and here for the rest of the world).
It's one of my fave WnW stamps. You can use here all year through... also made Christmascards with this stamp. Love it when you can use your stamps for all different kind of occasions.

Ah well... back to topic ;)
I used some Spring-colors. Love it when nature blooms again after the winter and seeing all those fresh colors makes me want the sun shining a lot.
And is sitting there on a leaf... having a break ;)

For this challenge I made a photoframe for a girl who's birthday is within a couple of days and I hope she'll like it. She's very into princesses and princes, so this Wags'nWhiskers image is just the perfect gift for her :)

Voor deze challenge heb ik een fotolijst gemaakt voor een meisje dat bijna jarig is en ik hoop dat ze het leuk zal vinden. Ze zit helemaal in de prinsen-en prinsessesfase, dus dit Wags'nWhiskers plaatje is gewoon perfect :)

WnW challenge: White on white + one pop of color

Hi there and welcome to a new Wags'nWhiskers Challenge! :)
Aloha en welkom bij een nieuwe Wags'nWhiskers Challenge! :)

This challenge we would like to see creations that go with the following: White on white plus one pop of color.
As red is my fave color, it wasn't a hard decision to make, but... it was hard which cute stamp I had to ink though... Wags'nWhiskers have so many gorgeous and cute stamps, it was hard to decide, but... I made up my mind and choose Rosalie as the lucky stamp to be inked.
Ditmaal willen we graag creaties zien die voldoen aan het volgende critirium:
Wit op wit met één uitspringende kleur.
Aangezien rood mijn favo kleur is, was het niet moeilijk om te beslissen, maar... ik vond het wel moeilijk om te beslissen welke stempel ik zou gaan beinkten... Wags'nWhiskers heeft zoveel geweldige en schattige stempels, dat het moeilijk beslissen was, maar... het is gelukt en het is Rosalie geworden.

And this is my creation...

Guess you can use this card for many occasions, so I didn't put a text on/in it.

Made this card with the digi image called "A deer friend". I knew I had a sentiment stamp of it, so it was a matter of seconds to find it and use it :)

Wags'nWhiskers Challenge: Spring Inspired

Hi there and welcome to another Wags'nWhiskers challenge.
This time the theme is set by me :) Spring is only a couple of days away and thought about the challenge and was inspired by it so this challenge is called "Spring inspired". You can think about everything... flowers, colors, etc. etc. that Springs inspires you with.
I was inspired by all the tulips Spring brings us overhere in The Netherlands. I so love it!

Been to the Keukenhof a couple of times to get myself some awesome photos (really, if you're able to visit...please do, it's eyecandy!!) and tulips are all over that place.

This week it's time for a lovely, very, very lovely sketch. I just loooooooooove sketches a lot! And think this sketch is just perfect for Valentine's cards.
You can embellish it with as loads or as little you want and I did some extra embellishments. Also wanted to include a sentiment, so I just put it in the right corner of the card.

I used Hannah for my card. I just loooooooove this fairy a lot and used her for so many different occasion cards: Valentine, Christmas, birthday, etc. etc. Just love stamps that are so verstatile to use.

I just looooooooove the glitter all over her skirt and shirt. Wrinkled the ribbon a bit.
Vind de glitter bij haar shirt en rok geweldig en heb het ribbon een beetje omgevouwen.

Hope you love it as well as I do. Think this card will be used for a family member's birthday :)

Have to tell you I gave the spots on the dress a lot of stickles, but I wasn't able to photograph it correctly so you would see it. So no detailphoto for that...sorry...

Preview Wags'nWhiskers: pinups!

Oh yes, you've read the title correctly, Wags'nWhiskers is releasing new stamps and they are pinups!
And they are just perfect for those cards for men I can tell ya! They are hot, hot, hot!

Today, tomorrow and Sunday we will have sneak previews of the stamps and this next Monday it's time for a bloghop!!

As always, the stamps are made of extremely awesome deeply etched red rubber and they stamp perfectly which I, as a very addicted stamper, totally love about all stamps.

Anyways... back to the project. As said before the stamps are perfect for male cards, and as we have a challenge called "Valentine" over at the Wags'nWhiskers blog, I made a card for a Valentine.
Coloured the image with my copics and added stickles on the skirt and shirt of the girl.

Hope you will like the image as much as I do (I know this is totally different compared to the other images I normally use).

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: Lavender & Lace

It's another Friday, so time for another Wags'nWhiskers challenge. This time the challenge is to use "lavender & lace".
Really found it a challenge, as I really thought I had no lavender kind of stuff to create this weeks challenge. But... Luckily one of my fave brands, Basic Grey, has a scrapbookline which also includes lavender, so I used it. So glad I can "shop" in my scraproom :)
