I got them!!!

And am so really, really, really excited!!!
Just booked tickets to see Coldplay live in concert on 10th September 2009!!!
Yahoooooooooooooooooo!
I'm so thrilled to go there as I couldn't get any tickets for the last show in Ahoy, which was the best show a colleague of mine saw!
But now I have them here, right here beside me. Can hardly wait for being September 2009.
Only problem...it's on the other side of the Netherlands, so I have to take the next day off..
I can't see any problem here. Trying to get the 14th free as well, so I get a free Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (it's Prinsjesdag and we always have a day off where I live..hehe).
Can you feel my excitement?? *LOL*

OH...and why I wanna see them?? I just love their music, the melodies and stuff. Really theatrical (??). Love it!!

It's been...

SNOWING today!!

I went to a craftsfair today (only a 20 minute drive by bike for me...) and when I went there it only rained just really minimal, but when I left the fair at about 13.15 it snowed (even though the streets weren't white)!!
Yahoo!!!

Went to the supermarket to buy some to eat and drink, and when I stopped there, I was like a snowgirl...all white, but the streets...still not white until I came out the supermarket!
It was snowing! And I just love it! I really felt happy today when I saw all the snow coming down.
Right now it's raining and there's hardly any snow left, but hee... the weathermen predicted there will be loads of snow tomorrow where I live! *YAHOO!!*

Here's a bit of a "snowimpression"...

This one is taken from my balcony...

These little ones will come out in Spring... some daffodills and "blauw druifjes". I just love how these photos came out with the water on the leaves.

And this is what I totally love... candles! Just put some new ones on the plate. I love the atmosphere when there are some candles.

And this is what I bought at the craftsfair...
Patterns to make the following things... Will buy the things I need this Thursday at a shop nearby.
On the first photo you can see two dolls dressed like "Appelflappen" which is what we eat in The Netherlands with New Year's Eve. Love to make them myself!
If interested, I can put down the receipe to make it...
And we also eat "Oliebollen" with New Year's Eve. Love them, but when I ate 2 of them, it's quite enough, while I can eat the Appelflappen the whole day *LOL*
This one is a complete one... Hopefully I can hang them in my Christmastree this year.
And this is the "scrappy"-part of what I bought... not that much in comparison with the Kreadoe, but that's ok. Bought a lot of this for 50%. I just love bargains! *LOL*
Helped Tessa out this Saturday on the fair and it was great to do it! She had 2 bouths with everything on sale!
Got some items from her for helping her out. Tessa, it was no problem! Loved it!
Have been making some more Christmassy items for the Christmasfair 6th December. Love them!
Have to get more items and I think I will make it in time, at least I hope so ;)

Sad news...

Have some sad news to tell...

Tessa Tegendraads is closing its doors :(
She's having a sale in her shop and online...
Really sad seeing another scrapstore go overhere in The Netherlands :(

Better news....
I will be going to the "Kreadoe" in Utrecht this Sunday. It's a craftsfair and really cool (at least I think so! *lol*)
They have a lot of my fave scrapstores overthere, so I don't have to travel from one side of Holland to the other side. Really handy and I just love seeing other crafts and hope to bring some cool fabrics with me and off course some great scrapbooking and stamping items!!
Already seen items other people brought and they look yummy!!!
Will upload a picture Sunday/Monday (if I didn't buy too much..hehe).

Haven't scrapped or make cards this week.
But have been making some cool home deco items to sell at the Christmasfair 6th December.
Will show you in a few weeks time...

Nothing else to tell really.
Been busy at work and next week will be a busy week as well, but will have a free day coming Monday. Yeah!!

For all my SAG-buddies... can't wait till next week!!!!!
See ya soon!!

Paris!!

Finally an update :)

Been on holiday for a couple of days to a friend of mine in France and I so loved it!!!
Had to travel to Paris first, stayed 3 days with my friend (and for 1,5 day it rained!! Can you believe it??) and went back to Paris again and stayed there 2 hours before my train left. Went to Sacre Coeur, so I had a marvelous view of Paris and saw all the famous attractions like Eiffeltower, Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou and Arc Triomphe. I so loved it and wish I could stay 1 or 2 days longer in Paris to shop and being a tourist, but I loved it!!!!
Here are some photos I took...

Thanks for watching my blog :)

Workshop

I rarely go to any workshops the last 2 years, an exception made for Scrap-a-Ganza, but yesterday I went to Tessa with my mother for an alcoholink-workshop.
Made a very nice card (a great addition to my Vienna-album), a teacupholder and a tag.
My mother really enjoyed herself as she has never worked with alcoholink before, so everything was new for her.
Love the copper and silver finishing touches a lot!! (read: I want it as well!!)
Loved the technique we did on the tag, so I guess I need a new pen for the blending solution as well...hehe...

Bought some more cottoncord (love it!!) and a pencilsharpener.
After the workshop we went to Heesch for the Doll Housemuseum. We didn't know we had to pay money to come in, so we only went to the shop (such beautifull things!!!).
Did enjoy yesterday a lot!

Really enjoying the weather lately!
Have been on my bike quite a few times, been to the beach and tomorrow I will go there as well :)

Well... see ya later!

Going to be famous?? ;)

As said before, I will give an "staralbum"-workshop on June 14th at Tessa Tegendraads (www.tessategendraads.nl).
Yesterday there was an article about scrapbooking in a newspaper from Brabant (a province overhere) with the owner of the store, Tessa.
Here's the article:
http://www.bndestem.nl/regio/oosterhout/3134726/De-variaties-zijn-oneindig.ece

On the left side of the photo you can see a staralbum.... that's mine!!! *LOL*
Don't know if it's ok to place the photo here due to copyrights etc, so will not show it, you have to see the article :)

Yesterday I went to a scrapfair and I can tell you I sold more than expected!! Had no idea my scrapsupplies were going to sell that good. Wish I had more with me.
It was busy between 10-12 am, and after that there were a few people, but not that much.
We were lucky we didn't have the weather like last weekend (about 25 degrees!!), it was raining all day, so it wasn't that warm and people weren't going to the beach!
I will defenately go back again if they have it again with more stuff. But I didn't sell any magazines as hoped, but well... it's ok :)
Will sell them online shortly.
Bought some papers in the shop and some embellishments, but most of all: a small corner rounder to also make scalloped borders. I already have a large one, but also wanted a small one. So happy!!

Next Saturday I will go to De Creatie in Veghel as they have their anual make-n-take-day and I've been there two or three times before and I love it!!
Very good mojo hanging there.

See ya!

**bye bye from Holland**

Take That concert

Ok,

So I went to the Take That concert 1st November and it was awesome!!
Really enjoyed myself a lot and it seemed like yesterday I saw them on 16th March 1995!!!
Saw some familiar faces at the concert, like people who've supported them over the years and off course Mr Robbie Williams (oh man.... I followed him everywhere I could in Holland ;) )

Found some really, really great YouTube movies on the internet...
Let me share you the best.... (can't choose really, but I so loved this song Give Good Feeling... really groovy... though the YouTube movie doesn't do it justice at all!!! And I found Could It Be Magic... One of my fave live songs of them....)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kgcDTtlHkkg

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wu3UN9KsDNg

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do...

There are a lot more nice movies of that incredible concert!
Really hope they'll come here really soon as I so love those concerts!!!

For the rest... Have been making some cards... one for my Grandmother's birthday November 13th and some other Magnolia-stamped cards. I so love those Magnolia-stamps!!!
If there was only one shop where I could buy some time...
Or I could start one???!!! That way I'm a billionaire within a few minutes *LOL*
Gotta go....

Positive

Yeah, got plenty of work to do this weekend.
Loads for work and also some scrapping to do for some Circle Journals. Really love them a lot!!
Seeing all the different scrappingstyles people have.
They are not always my kind of soup, but they do their best and that's what counts!

Right now, I'm in the middle of cleaning my house. There are papers and other things everywhere and they should be with the garbage and so on!
My scrappingroom is really messy this time. Have to reorganize this space real soon, which means I really have to organize the things I have and make something with them *LOL*
I keep being *POSITIVE*
Last Tuesday I went to Ikea and bought a cognac-glass. I don't drink alcohol at all (don't like alcohol at all that is...), but my grandfather likes it and I was thinking: Why not scrap a photo of him, put some stones in the glass and put the scrapped photo in the glass. It will work... don't know when as I still have to take photos of him and my grandmother really soon.

So I'm full of ideas, but now I have to find some time to make them reality! But I will be *POSITIVE*
Last week has been a hard week for me at work, but I know I made the right decision about 2 weeks ago and I already see the difference and so do my colleagues, so that's something to be *POSITIVE* about.
Been to my parents in law party. They were married 45 years and had a dinner with their families and their own family with children and grandchildren. It was alright.
Last Thursday I heard I will be having the same group as the last couple of years. That makes my 7th year in row, or 9th if you count my courses with them.
I will also be moving with my class to the other side of the school and will change my class from 1d to 1b. Can't wait to be in my new classroom as I've been in a sort of the same one in the beginning and it was great to be in there!!! Having more space and a place outside where I can put my watertable and other great things. Really looking forward and am already planning how I wanna do my decorations..hehe...
The only thing which isn't funny is that the last years I was in front of the teacher's room, so I could easily take some tea and now it's on the other side of the school. But hee... I keep being *POSITIVE* as I get a great new and big classroom!!

Yesterday I had my last photography class of portrait and modelphotography. The other people also wanted to learn more and yesterday the teacher told us he wanted to go further with us, so that's great news!!!
We will hear the details soon, so I'm also *POSITIVE* about that *LOL*

That's it for me really right now. Only 3 more weeks at work and than we have our vacation. I know where I wanna go, but BF doesn't and it has to be in our budget... well... I just keep being *POSITIVE*!!
Oh... Why I'm using *POSITIVE* a lot???
At the beginning of this year we were challenged by Ali Edwards to use a word for a year and I choose *POSITIVE* and I learned these last weeks I just have to be *POSITIVE* and everything will be alright.
That's about it right now. Will leave you with a picture of my messy room...

Almost time!!

Yeah!! Only 3,5 more hours before I go to Scrap-a-Ganza and totally loving it!!
Have to pack my bag with clothes, but that's not a problem, the problem is I have to go by public transport as P.P.'s car has to go to the garage today for a new radiator and I so not love it!! We were planning to go to Egmond aan Zee together, having a few hours at the beach together, some shopping and stuff, but now plans unfortunately totally changed.
Went home yesterday and now I really miss him.
Well... will see him within a week I hope :)

Keeping positive...
Can't wait to be in Egmond and having a great weekend with loads of workshops (16!!!), some make-n-takes and off course some heavy shopping. Planning to buy some items I always really wanted, but were too high in price in my humble opinion, but now they seem to be *great!*
Made some nice forum friends swap cards we will trade this evening with 24 other people from the SAG-forum, so really looking forward to that one :)
Bye for me right now. Have to take care of some clothes :)
Will leave you with the last layout I made for the stamps challenge on National Scrapbook Day

Queen's Day

Yesterday it was Queen's Day in The Netherlands and this year I decided to sell some stuff. It was great, exept for going out of bed at 4.10 am!!! Thought that would be a nice time, so we could leave home at 5 am so we did and wow!!! I was totally shocked when I saw loads of people already sitting at the "Fred" (as we call the Frederik Hendriklaan here in The Hague).
There wasn't any room for me to sit, so I decided to sit at another road. We were there at 5.30 am and boy, it was so, so, so cold!! It was good P.P. left his shirt with me so I could wear that as well.
But at about 9.30 am it went out, as it was getting to warm and at 11 am I was sitting in my tshirt!
Really enjoyed watching all the people looking for stuff.

My parents and P.P. came as well, by bike. It was good and they also walked the Fred. I didn't. Left once to go to the toilet.
It was a day to remember and time passed quickly, couldn't believe that. It was fun.

Left at 4.30 pm or so with not many Euro's extra, but enjoyed the vibe.

By the way... as I was at fairs when I was younger, I saw a difference yesterday.
In the old days we didn't have to show people everything we had, but could leave stuff in boxes, they always went into them searching for stuff. Now yesterday, we had to show everything as people weren't searching any boxes!
Also made some cards, only sold one!! People overhere are still looking for 3d-cards and I think people aren't ready for stamped and scrapped cards yet, but that's just my opinion. Cause when I send my cards to people they really like them and are stunned about them!!
So... got to find a solution for that...

Not much more to say. Going to P.P. today, cleaning his house, doing some laundry, he's going to paint the stairs. Maybe even going to Ikea (http://www.ikea.nl).
Will also be cleaning my stampingroom there.

Leave you with a photo...

Amsterdam

Did nothing much yesterday. Cleaning the house and getting rid of the old papers (they are in Peter-Paul's car right now..hehe... did a great job on that, now didn't I??). Then went to the Haagse Hogeschool to talk to a teacher and a student from my course Master Special Educational Needs. Really enjoyed.
When I came back home, made pancakes and made a Circle Journal.

Today me and Peter-Paul, my boyfriend went to Amsterdam.
First we went to a fair and after that we went by tram to the innercity and it was great! Really enjoyed ourselves a lot.
Didn't bring my camera with me as I found it too heavy to carry it all day. Just wanted to enjoy really ;)
The weather was great and it was getting warmer in the afternoon. Bought some nice stamps. Hope to play with them soon! :)
Also bought some stampingpapers and we also had to eat, so bought a "frikandelbroodje" for Peter-Paul and a "saté-broodje" for me.
Also went to the Albert Kuypmarkt and I tell you.. It's great! Really love all the colors overthere and I certainly am coming there again. Such a nice vibe as well.
After that we went to the train, and left at Schiphol Airport to watch the planes and.... having some icecream!! Lemon and straciatella for me... JUMMIE!!!
It's been a great day. Now gotta go... gotta put the pricestickers on the products I'm going to sell (hopefully) on Queen's Day this next Monday! Looking forward.
Tomorrow we will go to Peter-Paul's and then I will go to a scrapbookstore!! Can't wait.
Leave you with an old photo of Amsterdam, made in January when I was there with my photography-class
:)
