Espress Yourself with the Nicest Things

I don't always get to play but when I do I love to pile it up. LOL. Sorry just made me think of that dumb commercial about some brad of liquor. Anyway this is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 620 - Twine Inlay and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 411 - Hot Beverage which have been enjoyed this weekend with these below freezing temps we are having. I live in the deep south portion of GA why am I freezing? LOL So I think it is all self explanatory but I did use a heart border punch for the small hearts I needed.
I also used all the cut out pieces to help with the inside and envelope decorations. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Espress Yourself, The Nicest Things
Paper: white, watercolor, chocolate chip, real red,
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, red water coloring
Accessories: Dimensionals, IO Drink Cup die, dark brown twine, heart border punch

May Flowers for Your Birthday

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 588 - Stencil Monoprint, today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 379 - May Flowers, and last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 584 - Wondering who Crushed my Pumpkin pie.
I think I may have added too much water. I used my SU coordinating markers to ink up my stencil then huffed and misted before turning upside down on my watercolor paper. To add some depth I used the pen side to accent the lines and flower centers. I cut the HB sentiment out in crushed curry cs.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from Sweet and Sassy's Birthday Innies set in watermelon wonder. For the envelope I inked Happy in crushed curry and Birthday in watermelon wonder. Hope you like it.

RECIPE:
Stamps: SU- It's Your Birthday, SNS- Birthday Innies
Paper: white, watercolor, watermelon wonder
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive

Love how it turned out. Matted on pool party then sahara sand and tied some ribbon across. I used white card base and layered with pistachio pudding cs.
On the inside and envelope I stamped the sentiment in pistachio pudding. Don't know what happened to the photo for the inside it is blurry and I did not change any settings on the camera.  My have to do a retake tomorrow when I get back upstairs by for now gotta head to work.  Hope you like it.

Trust God for Strength

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 551 - Blushing Saffron Pears, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 554 - Watercolor those Diecuts, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 3456 - CAS-ing HYCCT. Today I choose the I AM A WARRIOR from the list as I was my mother's support during her 9 year battle of breast cancer that spread throughout her body. This is a difficult month for me even though it is my birth month. Mom went to heaven on 10/29/90 but I know in my heart she was not suffering any longer once she took that final breath. I had to Trust that God had my back and would give me the strength needed to care for her as long as He allowed her to remain. Mom loved roses and so do I with yellow being my favorite. I used my SU watercolor crayons to color my watercolor paper then cut the rose and leaves.
I stamped on the front panel and inside with pear pizzazz and the envelope with so saffron. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God
Paper: white, so saffron, blushing bride
Ink: so saffron, blushing bride, pear pizzazz

I used a new embossing folder ,Anchor, from the Paper Studio to ink the negative side by daubers on the ink pads of all three colors. The 2 blues are so close in color it was hard to see where one stopped and the other started, :( of well. I stamped the sentiment in momento tuxedo black in the open top left corner. The white anchor cut from a die is popped up on dimensionals. I think this will be for my dear hubby who is my anchor. He keeps me grounded and I love him so much. LOL.

Wet Crimped Fall Leaf

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 294 - Wet Paper Stamping and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 88 - Crinkled.
My layout is from Sunday's SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 88.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 294 - Razzleberry Saffron Tangerines.
I have also completed Thursday's STAMPIN' B's CHALLENGE # 79 - Fall Card.
My striped ribbon is for Friday's SPEEDY THE CAT'S FRIEND CHALLENGE # 24 - Stripes.
I used a leaf that I picked up yrs ago from the dollar bin at Micheals for my wet paper stamping and stamped 1st in so saffron then over it after drying with tangerine tango. I then added some watercoloring to fill it in as well as some irridescent red and green water coloring for shimmer then cut it out, crinked it up in my hand a bit and popped it up on my vanilla layer that was stamped in so saffron with a darling background stamp also from the dollar bin then sponged the edges with tangerine tango and matted on tangerine tango. My So Saffron layer was stamped in so saffron with the main leaf image. I used my Fiskars leaf border punch in rich razzleberry. My base is very vanilla. Here are a couple of close ups of that leaf. I love how it turned out and wanted you to see the shimmer better.
I also truely love the changing colors of leaves this time of year. They are just marvelous to watch and I wish I could see the change as it occurs but it seems that one day they are all pretty and green and the next time I look they are orange and green and yellow and then they are gone. Oh Well. Now off to work to start a brand new week. Happy Monday everyone.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Leaf, Leaf background - dollar bin
Paper: vanilla, water color paper, so saffron, rich razzleberry, tangerine tango
Ink: so saffron, tangerine tango
Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, water color crayons, irridescant water colors, stamp-a-ma-jig
Techniques: tone on tone, water coloring, wet paper stamping

Watercolored Sea Babies Mail Box

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 059 - Watercolor. This week Gloria choose a fun technique of watercoloring for the challenge. I can not remember the last time I used watercoloring to color. I had a blast making this. I was in the mood to make something other than a card so I looked over at my mounds of supplies on my unloved shelve and spyed this mini mail box. Well you should have smelt the rubber buring in my head. Ideas were going everywhere. I guess I should have put corks in my ears so that the ideas would not escape before I could use them. LOL. I decided not to use any dp to alter the outside since I liked the color that it already was. I used some craft cs punched with my beach border punch. My images are digital and they are from "Sea Babies" that was released this month and "Fun in the Sun" that was released a couple of months ago. Both sets are digital sets and can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE.
Here is a side view of the crab from "Sea Babies" . I put some google eyes on him. He is so cute.
So come on and play along with us. Be sure to use THT059 in your keywords when you upload to Splitcoast Stamper and also be sure to provide us with a link over at the TREEHOUSE STAMPS CHALLNGE BLOG POST so you can be entered in the Random.org drawing for the weekly free $5 digi set. We would love to see what you come up with.
