Short & Sweet Flip Flip Wedding Wishes

OK so I had everything typed and ready to SUBMIT yesterday when the power went off. Needing to get onto work I had to just give up on loading what I had worked on for the days challenge. Now this morning the sketch is not up yet so I decided to load yesterdays efforts anyway so this is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 422 - Elegant Mambo on the River
My layout is from Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 425 - Flip Flop Card and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 216 - Pinterest Inspiration.
The wedding cake I used is a stamp I got eons ago from the dollar bin at Michaels. I stamped the sentiment from Short and Sweet in elegant eggplant even though it looks black. I colored the cake with copic markers then added some stickles. I loved the flowers in this Paper Studio dp and the centers looked like 4 hole buttons so I used my quickutz button die and some elegant eggplant cs and went with it. I used my Martha Stewart Button punch and a hole puncher to make my closure along with some melon colored baker's twine and viola, it was done. Now off to work I go,

RECIPE:
Stamps: Short & Sweet, Unknown Cake imag
Paper: white, River Rock, TPS Persnickety
Ink: momento tuxedo black, elegant eggplant
Accessories: copics, MS Button, Quickutz Button, baker's twine
Techniques: Flip Flop Card, Gift Card Holder

Flip Flop Gift Card Holder Sew What?

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 425 - Flip Flop Card and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 216 - Pinterest Inspiration Challenge. I loved all of those buttons and could not resist creating my own button using the DP from my Flip Flop gift card holder. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to give a gift card and this is one of them. Thanks for the tutorial too since I am a visual rather than a reader. I used bakers twine threaded through the botton that is popped up on dimensionals for closing the used my crop-a-dile to make holes on the side to tie the bow and complete the closing. My card stock is some WAY BACK retired Mauve Mist I bought from a retired SU demo way back. I use it every chance I get so hopefully they will bring it back one day. LOL. Such a pretty color. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Sew What - MFP
Paper: Mauve Mist, TPS Persnickety
Ink: Glorious Green
Accessories: dimensionals ,bakers twine, crop-a-dile, Maurvy Giga Scallop Circle Punch

Picking You for My Hero Swing Card

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 270 - Mambo Suede. Also since I did not get to play yesturday this is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 272 - Flip Flop Swing Cards. I have not made one of these in eaons. Thanks Holly for the swing back in time, it was fun. I really think men get slighted sometimes with flowers as the norm is NO flowers on a masculine card but some men are confident enough in thier masculinety that they love flowers so I decided to turn a Mother's Day image into a Father's Day card. I used Picking You for my image and My Hero for my sentiment both are from the digital line over at TREEHOUSE STAMPS. I colored the image with copics. I used some woodgrain dp on my soft suede cs base for dessert. My image and sentiment are matted on dark brown.
This is a view of the card stretched out:

This is a view of the card closed as it would be received:

I did resist the temptation to add some embellishments as I felt like that might be a bit too far. LOL. Don't want to push my luck, teehee. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Picking You, My Hero - Treehouse Stamps Digital Line
Paper: white, soft suede, dark brown, woodgrain dp
