Trust God for Strength

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 551 - Blushing Saffron Pears, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 554 - Watercolor those Diecuts, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 3456 - CAS-ing HYCCT. Today I choose the I AM A WARRIOR from the list as I was my mother's support during her 9 year battle of breast cancer that spread throughout her body. This is a difficult month for me even though it is my birth month. Mom went to heaven on 10/29/90 but I know in my heart she was not suffering any longer once she took that final breath. I had to Trust that God had my back and would give me the strength needed to care for her as long as He allowed her to remain. Mom loved roses and so do I with yellow being my favorite. I used my SU watercolor crayons to color my watercolor paper then cut the rose and leaves.
I stamped on the front panel and inside with pear pizzazz and the envelope with so saffron. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God
Paper: white, so saffron, blushing bride
Ink: so saffron, blushing bride, pear pizzazz
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Rose Die, Twine
Techniques: watercoloring, watercoloring dies

Spinkled Butterfly Birthday Latch Card

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 534 - Pools of Wisteria Bliss, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 537 - On A Roll, my layout if from Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 401. I decided the sketch would fit well with the new LATCH CARD following the tutorial from SCS HERE. I used the pool party rolled edge ribbon bow and attached a butterfly cut in white and colored with copies and matted on wisteria wonder angel wings for the catch holding the card together. The ribbon covers the scored lines allowing for the bending. I stamped the sentiment on the focal panel in blackberry bliss then tore the bottom edge and rolled it, matted on blackberry bliss and wisteria wonder with the bottom edges torn and rolled. I stamped the butterfly image from Sprinkles in blackberry bliss on the envelope.
I stamped the sprinkles butterfly image in wisteria wonder on the inside after stamping off and the HB sentiment is from All Holidays stamped in blackberry bliss.  Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: SU - Sprinkles & All Holidays, Joanne's - Birthday sentiments
Paper: White, Wisteria Wonder, Blackberry Bliss,
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories: ribbon, stickles, Cheery Lynn Dies, Torn edges
Techniques: Rolled Edges, Latch Card, stamp off

C is for Cat, CAS or CASE

Well I am finally back and sooo glad to be home. I missed my dh, family and my stamp room too. I am playing some catch up so this is for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 173 - Ways To Use Letters;
Sunday's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 132 - kyann22 where I CASED Rita's CHOCOLATE BUNNY; and
last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 377 - Certainly Softly Blushing Brides.
Being out of practice that was all I could do since any more would have made my head hurt too bad. LOL.
I used some dp from The Paper Studio called "Persnickety" and the cat is from Cheery Lynn Designs Screen Door and Cat. My certainly celery grass was made with Martha Stewart grass border. The "C" is a quick cut from Daisy Alphabet.
Hope you like it, now back to my normal routine at work.
RECIPE:
Stamps: none
Paper: white, soft suede, certainly celery, blushing bride, TPS Persnickety dp

Congrats w/Build A Flower

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 276 - Farewell to Blushing Peach Crush Pizzazz Parade. So sad to see color go, I am going to miss them all.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 378 - Brayered Paper Elements and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 171 - Sketch by Tilly. Today I used my new "Build A Flower" die set from Cheery Lynn again but joined the pieces with some baker's twine which I found a little easier then a huge brad that tore to holes open, grrrr.
I cut the flower petals in white then brayer blushing bride and poppy parade less than half way up the petals then traced around the edges with poppy parade marker. I added some stickles to the center. My sentiment is from Stampin Up's Congrats set and stamped in concord crush. I think peach was the only color I could not find a way to use.
Off to work and praying for a better day than the last one.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Congrats
Paper: whtie, pear pizzazz, poppy parade
Ink: poppy parade, blushing bride, concord crush
Accessories: dimensionals, stickles, CL Build A Flower die, baker's twine
