Cherry Blossoms of Blessings

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 602 - Sweet Smoky Razzleberries and Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 467.
I have not been able to play for quite some time now due to torn rotator cuff then repair and the week after my surgery MIL 81 yr old fell and broke her neck in 3 places after 2 surgeries pneumonia set in and she past away after about 1 month from her fall. It has just been one thing after another in this household but today I was determined I was making something even if it failed I was going to try. Finally made it upstairs and this was the end result. I had to use regal rose substitute since I have decided I have more CS than I could ever use and am running out of storage space I opted out of this years in-colors and got as close as I could to sweet sugarplum.
For the inside I kept is really simple and only stamped the sentiment.

Stamps: Trust God
Paper: Smoky slate, Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose, Choc Chip, BG Green at Heart DP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry

Trust God Anniversary

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 578. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 568 - Saffron Gray Sky. I used a technique called INK, SPRAY, AND SMASH for my focal panel and found out the hard way it is NOT easy to heat emboss on glossy white cs. I stamped the flower and sentiment in versa mark then added some black embossing powder and heat embossed. Did you know glossy paper will bubble up if you hold the heat tool on it too long? LOL oh well. Next time I will just stamp the sentiment in black ink. The flower was ok but the sentiment sorta smudged in some places. This attempt was for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 571 - Naked Stamping Shannon aka (e3stamper) celebrated her 14th Anniversary on Tuesday and we get together Sunday to actually celebrate so this will be their card.
On the inside I stamped Happy Anniversary sentiment.  Hope she likes it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God, All Year Cheer III
Paper: white, so saffron, soft sky, smoke slate
Ink: so saffron, soft sky, versa mark
Accessories: gold cording, Basket Weave EF
Techniques: heat emboss, dry emboss, ink spray and smash, naked stamping

Trust in God for ALL things Book Card

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 565 - What's Black and White and Red all over?. I had an Uncle that loved to pull that on kids. We probably all have someone in our path that is such a prankster. LOL Anyway all I could think of is books and when I first saw Nestie Label 7 that was all I could think of so guess what I picked up and used? You got it. It is small but the message is mighty and will work very well on a friend's desk that I give to. My odd shaped card is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 568 - Revisiting Shaped Cards which was a revisit from a previous TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 315 - That's Odd.
I cut the binder from Real red cs and stamped the praying hand image I got years ago at Michaels in black ink then cut the next to the largest from the stack in white cs and stamped the sentiment in black. Adhered a black ribbon and it was done. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God, Praying Hands
Paper: white, real red
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black

Trust God for Strength

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 551 - Blushing Saffron Pears, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 554 - Watercolor those Diecuts, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 3456 - CAS-ing HYCCT. Today I choose the I AM A WARRIOR from the list as I was my mother's support during her 9 year battle of breast cancer that spread throughout her body. This is a difficult month for me even though it is my birth month. Mom went to heaven on 10/29/90 but I know in my heart she was not suffering any longer once she took that final breath. I had to Trust that God had my back and would give me the strength needed to care for her as long as He allowed her to remain. Mom loved roses and so do I with yellow being my favorite. I used my SU watercolor crayons to color my watercolor paper then cut the rose and leaves.
I stamped on the front panel and inside with pear pizzazz and the envelope with so saffron. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God
Paper: white, so saffron, blushing bride
Ink: so saffron, blushing bride, pear pizzazz
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Rose Die, Twine
Techniques: watercoloring, watercoloring dies

Trust god with October Birthstone

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 549 - What's Your Birthstone?  Well I am an October baby and tried all morning to think of what to do and how to find some "opal" colored cardstock and then this afternoon my daughter (e3stamper) reminded me I could use pink. Duh!! See what happens when you try to create something before your 2nd cup of coffee? LOL. Determined to play along I went with pink tonight and my favorite sentiment set from SU. My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 558. I was going for the illusion of painting. I hope I accomplished it. I used my scissors to fray the ends of the paper pieced cs on the paint brush and popped it up on dimensionals. My sentiment is stamped in blushing bride ink and the inside is the same as the envelope so I did not take a picture of it. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God
Paper: white, Blushing Bride
Ink: Blushing Bride
Accessories: Marianna Designs paint brush die

We have a couple of co-workers getting married soon and so today I made another wedding card. I used my Argyle embossing folder today and created some tags and colored them gold with my metal gold paint pen. I stamped one with a sentiment from All Holidays and the other I added a gold vintage shoe. These are both popped up on dimensionals. I had to free hand my sentiment on the front. I have seen something similar in a sentiment but not sure who made it.
I used the same sentiment today on the inside and stamped the envelope with the same ink color. Hope you like it.

Trust God with a Kite Card

This is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 541 - Roses and Mints are a tip top treat. I saw the new KITE CARD TECHNIQUE and just had to try it since the WT Challenge was not loaded yet and I have to be at work soon. I found some perfect DP from Colorbox Beach House 2 sided dp. I cut the white cs with the smallest Label 1 Nestability set and then traced around the edges on tip top taupe and rose red CS for a mat then fussy cut them.
I stamped the sentiments in mint macaron ink. I turned the labels long way to fit on the Kite shape. This was such a fun and easy card to make. I almost hate to give it way. LOL
RECIPE:
Stamps: Trust God
Paper: white, mint macaron, rose red, tip top taupe
Ink: Mint Macaron
Accessories: flowers, labels 1, ribbon

Simply Trust God

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 420 - Light to Dark, CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 211 - Sketch and last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 416 - Bashful Raspberry Petals.
I could not resist using the color from last week and a flower image. I started with Stampin Ups set Simpy Soft and stamped the stem image in momento tuxedo black then with my stamp-a-ma-jig TRIED to line up the petal images inking in pretty in pink (which did NOT work well) so I finished the coloring off with copics RV11, 14, 17 & 19 then added some shadding with B21.
My sentiment is from Trust God and is stamped in raspberry ripple on primrose petal cs.
I used pretty in pink, primrose petal and raspberry ripple cs for the 3 strips on the side.
Hope you like it. Now off to work I go.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Simply Soft, Trust God - SU
Paper: white, pretty in pink, primrose petals, raspberry ripple
Ink: momento tuxedo black, raspberry ripple
Accessories: stamp-a-ma-jig, copics
Techniques: light to dark, copic coloring, 2 step stamping

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 405 - Soft Saffron Breeze and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 200 - Inspired by Fabric.
I embossed the Baja breeze panel left side only using an M-Bossability folder and can not remember the name of it. I cut embossed and sponged the leaves and pine cone using Nestability Fall Follage dies sponged with soft suede. The Baja breeze panel is divided with a strip of soft suede topped with some ribbon then I stamped the sentiment in soft suede.
Hope you like it. My stamping therapy time has been SO limited lately. I need a vacation so I can stamp, LOL.

Ink: soft suede
