Somechick To Sing About

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 171 - Cathleen Torina. I have had the pleasure of sharing DT positions with Cathlleen so I know how fantastic she is. Congratulations gal. I chose to CASE her WHAT'S COOKIN' card. I love those darling hens and knew exactly what to use. I pulled out my Penny Black "Carolers" stamp and went to work.
This is also for Saturday's fun INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 232 - Two Lumps of Sugar and sweet eye candy it was to browse through. When I found this COUNTRY DELIGHT TABLEWARE. Well I knew today's project was in the bag. LOL.
I also included Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 12 - It's In the Spot spotlighting technique as well as Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 270 - Edge Distresser since I had such kaotic mornings before work. I hate missing out on good challenges. My focal image was stamped in Momento Tuxedo black then the spotlight image as well. I cut the spotlight image out using a 1 inch circle punch and a red cs matt with a 1 1/8 inch punch. I distressed the red base and red matt on the focal image with my edge distresser.
For my CASE I changed the image, colors, used Argyle Cuttlebug folder instead of swiss dots, I used yellow ribbon and tied it on the opposite side and distressed the edges. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Carolers - Penny Black
Paper: white, red
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: circle punches, Cuttlebug, Argyle Embossing Folder, Copics, ribbon, white jel pen
Techniques: Spotlighting, Edge Distressing, Cuttlebug, Copic Coloring

Uplifting Occassions

Well I am late today. I woke up at 7:30. Must have turned the clock off instead of on at 1am when I thought I had never set the alarm then fell back asleep. Can't image why. Since I went to bed at 10pm after being up for 39hrs. Got called into work Monday night for ICU again after working all day. I tried to stay over Tuesday morning and work some in my office. Yep that was not happening since I am in an office alone, the sun was shining in the window and I started nodding. Well I don't get paid to sleep at work so I left and went home, slipped into my night gown, layed in the bed and sleeep for 30min before my eyes were wide open again. gggrrrrrrr. Everything works for a reason though. Jessie and I headed to Tallahassee to find some work shoes. Our local Wal-Mart did some revising recently and we lost our 1hr photo lab and have now have a small section of plastic flip flops and work boots for a shoe dept. What a joke. We have to drive to Tifton or Tallahasee to find decent shoes. I don't mind going to either place though bc I get to stop in Omega and visit with Shannon if we go to Tifton, and if we go to Tallahassee we always either eat at Chili's in Bradfordville or Olive Garden in Tallahassee either choices are um um good. LOL. Needless to say I was ready to stamp this morning since I missed doing the CC Tuesday as it was not even loaded until after 11am.
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Bordering Saffron Pirouette. I knew when I saw the SC it had to be either a scene or a large stamp so I went with one of my fav Penny Black images. I just love this fiesty cat. He so reminds me of one we had way back when my kids were young. LOL. Image was stamped in esspresso ink then colored with SU markers and copics. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Uplifting Occassions - Penny Black
Paper: So Saffron dp, So saffron cs, bordering blue, pink pirouette, white
Ink: espresso, bordering blue, copics, so saffron
Accessories: copics

Uplifting Occassion

Well today's SKETCH CHALLENGE called for a large image so I immediately went for my Penny Black stamps of which I only have 2 but have a hard time using because they are so large. I also used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Elegant Teal Olives. I love this image and was happy to be able to use it today. I did paper piercing and then faux stitching using my eggplant marker. I also punched out 1 eggplant and 1 teal butterfly with my Martha Stewart punch glued in the center and folded the wings up. I applied stickles around the butterfly and on the butterflies on the image. The image was colored mostly with Prismacolor Pencils then blended w/gamsol. I did use the marker for the tiny circles in the lace. Hope ya like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Uplifting Occassions by Penny Black
Paper: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, white
Ink: taken with teal, elegant eggplant, old olive, black stazon
Accessories: stickles, prismacolor pencils, gamsol blending medium
Techniques: Gamsol Magic

2nd take on LSC141 Caroling Chickens

This is my 2nd card for today's Limited Supply Challenge. I had already started on this image a few days ago and was inspired to finish it. I used the Penny Black "Carolers"(Chickens) image I got recently from Addicted to Rubber Stamps. This took a lot of time. The image is 3 chickens in a row. I stamped the center one covering the other 2 w/tape when I inked. Then I masked that one and covered up the one on the end of the row the same way for row 2 and then row 3 I masked the 2 bottom rows to stamp all 3 and so on and so on. Man I was tired and out of masking tape by the time I finished this one. lol. The final touches were added today with a mask over the choir I stamped the wire background in black and added the layers and had to hand write the sentiment. Whey. I think I like it though.

LSC141, CC139 Cool Yule Cat in Hammock

Whey, I thought I had lost all of my skills. I made 3 attempts at a project Thursday and finally quite. Today I stamped my image 3 times before getting a good one to use.
This is for today's Limited Supply Challenge and Tuesday's Color Challenge.

I stamped my new Penny Black Cat in Hammock on white in Black Stazon. Colored with Prisma Color Pencils then blended using blending stumps and Gamsol. Matted on Garden Green then Ruby Red then White card base. I cut out Cool Yule using my Quickutz Alphabet "Daisy Mini "in bashful blue.

Singing Chickens CC Sketch Challenge

This is for the Challenge Chasers Sketch Challenge "On an Angle". I stamped the image on thin paper in black then cut it out to use as a mask for Masking Technique used last Thursday in the Ways To Use It Challenge . Stamped it again in Black Stazon on white CS. Then inked and stamped Chicken Wire Background with my mask in place over my stamped image. Image was colored with Prisma's then blended w/gamsol. I tried to find a sentiment using Chistmas Songs to go in the upper right corner. May just hand write it.
