HMSC20, HMCC20 Our Love

This is for today's H & M sketch and color challenge hosted every Saturday by owner Heather Rolin on her BLOG but this week she is doing it on Friday because we have a blog hop Saturday, November 1st. This weeks color was white. I thought I was going to have a hard time with it but I LOVE how this turned out. I used Swiss Dots and Textiles embossing folders from Cuttlebug. I stamped the sentiments and image on vellum in whisper white craft ink then heat embossed with white detail EP. I turned the couple image over and used my mouse pad to emboss from the backside just the couple image. We did this technique a while back for a TLC on SCS just can not remember what it is called but I did enjoy it. I had some white ribbon that I thougth was just perfect and tied it around the swiss dot layer. This lovely set can be purchased right now at H & M Stamp Company. Don'f forget about the great oportunity to:

HMSC17, HMCC13 All I Want For Christmas is The Time For Cookies

It's Saturday, yeh.. It is also day 4 of the H&M Blog Hop. I have always loved Thanksgiving. My Aunt made the BEST chicken & dressing and always cooked 4 or 5 vegetables. My mom did not cook veggies that much bc my brother would not eat them except my Aunt's house so I always looked forward to eating at Aunt Neva's (yep, I am named after her). So my question today is What is your favorite traditional dish for Thanksgiving dinner?
Enter a comment in this post for a chance to win the drawing mentioned HERE. Make sure to visit all DT members blogs and follow their instructions if you have not already done so.

Here is another really kewl set from H&M Stamp Company that I used for today's sketch/color challenge.
This is not what was in my head but I think I have some cob webs up there due to all of the recent spooky creations. LOL. The images from this project are from a set called "Christmas Is Time for Cookies" and the sentiment is from "Al I want for Christmas". These sets can be found at H & M Stamp Company. This sentiment set is so neat with phrases for the inside of the card as weel. I stamped the tin filed with chocolates on white then on my dp and the plate of cookies on white. Images were colored with prismacolor pencils then blended w/gamsol medium. I applied crystal effects to the candy and the milk in the glass. Hard to see well in the photo. The sentiment was stamped in green galore then punched using my new wide oval punch but I wanted it layered too so I had to cut those by hand. I did paper piecing for the tin. The images and layers ended up so large I decided to not do any photo corners, etc.
RECIPE:
Stamps: H&M All I Want For Christmas, Christmas Is The Time For Cookies
Paper: White, red, green, christmas holly dp
Ink: black stazon, close to cocoa, garden green
Accessories: crystal effects
Technique: Paper piecing, gamsol magic

HMSC11, HMCC8, Miracle From Above

Hello Saturday, this card was created for today's sketch and color challenge presented every Saturday by Heather Rolin from H & M STAMP COMPANY on her BLOG. Today's challenge has an added incentive to it as well. If you rise to the challenge and create either the color or the sketch or do them together and use the correct keywords then place a link on Heather's blog you will be entered in a drawing for a $10 gift certificate to shop with at H&M Stamp Company. Today's colors were Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, red (pomegrante, cranberry or real red), and white. I used cranberry crisp since I have neglected it with the last set of in-colors. I also used my new Martha Steward border punch which also embosses. Click on the pic to see it close up but don't look too hard. It never fails with me the very last thing I try to do to a card I mess something up. When 0h when will I learn to leave well enough alone? :( Anyway I just love this adorable new baby set from H & M Stamps. It is just precious to me. Hope you like it too and remember that any order placed before Oct 1st receives FREE SHIPPING.

Dad's Cabin

^
This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Pencils and I used a sketch and color challenge from a few weeks ago from H&M Stamp Co Heather Rolin's Blog. I made this and never had loaded it. Hope you like it. It is really hard to make a masculine card look nice without looking pretty. They don't seem to like it to look pretty. LOL.
I used a set from H&M called DAD'S CABIN (check it out this set is marked down for sale right now). I also used SU Flannel plaid background. Card base is Night of Navy with Soft Sky layered. Focal image is matted on green galore. I used ink pads and sponges to create the sky and grass then I drew grass sprigs with the GG marker. I made dots with basic gray marker around the GG circle because it was bare and I guess I was have some stamp retreat hang overs from all the dots we did that weekend. LOL. Dad's cabin is stamped in basic gray on GG, cut out and popped up. I used some navy hemp. Crystal Effects on the windows. I moved that layer to the top of this card to make it like a sign above the door. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the new releases from H&M begining September 1st, just 4 more days. Yepee.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Dad's Cabin - H&M Stamps, Flannel Plaid
Paper: Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Green Galore, White
Ink: Timber Brown Stazon, basic gray
Accessories: hemp, crystal effects, prismacolor pencils, gamsol blending medium, stumps

HMSC8, HMCC5 HooRah

This is for this weeks combined sketch and color challenge presented by Heather Rolin - H&M Stamp Company. Come and play along, upload at SCS using keywords HMSC8 & HMCC5. This weeks colors are Teal, Burnt Red, Olive Green, chocolate, vanilla. Sounds like a ice creamsicle, LOL. I used some Non SU cardstock and tried to find the closest thing I have to a burnt red. I have been itching to get this set dirty and today was the day. The image is stamped in choc chip then colored with Creamy Caramel a couple of times for a darker color. The face was colored with a copic marker. I bought this camoflage ribbon many moons ago and have only used it 2 times now. The dog tags were stamped in choc then cut out around the chain part to slide through the ribbon. This accessory replaced the buttons. The vanilla layer is stamped with all of the sentiments from HooRay Sentiment set - got the inspiration from one of Heather's creation. All images can be purchased at H & M Stamp Company. Purchase Hoo Rah and the sentiment together in an order and $5.00 will go to support our troops! This set was inspired by Tracy Dorton from H&M Stamps Design Team! If you wish you may also make donations in increments of $5 at the time of your order. Thank you for looking. Have a great weekend.
