A Pocket of Strawberries for a Special Lady

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 592, Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 582 - A Real picnic in the Sand with Cucumbers with dessert of "picnic". For Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 585 - All Around Border I stamped the small flower in sahara sand all around the white panel and for Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 376 - For A Special Lady. I will handwrite on the white panel pocket piece when the time comes next year. I chose to use this sketch opportunity to make a pocket card. I used basket weave embossing folder for the top slanted piece. I stamped the berry image in black then colored with copics, matted on real red then popped it up on dimensionals. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Flourish - Strawberries
Paper: white, Sahara Sand, Real Red
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Crisp Cucumber, Sahara Sand
Accessories: copics, Basket weave EF
Techniques: 3D, copic coloring, dry embossing, all around border

Dear Santa almost dissaster

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 409. My color combo is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 399 - Whispering Very Cherry Olives. My Cherry Cobbler used on panel 2 and gold ribbon woven between the ribbon slider slots is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 401 - Woven Ribbon.
For what should have been such a simple and quick card I can not begin to tell you of the trouble. First I have not stamped an open image for coloring in months. *GASP*. Next with that being said I have not used my copics in at least that long *GASP*. I reached for the matching colors and my R59 was dry *EEK*. So I go for the refill and forget to put on gloves *OH NO* huge mistake working with red ink and no gloves. Now my R56 is a laying beside R59 and guess which one I grab? You got it R56. One squeeze and I realize something aint right here. *GASP GASP*. After cleaning the mess and praying I did not ruin my R56 that did NOT need refilling and especially not with R59 ink I set out to color. I had the image perfectly colored and the sentiment stamped all on 1 layer of white cs when I opened R56 to do some blending and it being over full opening the cap created a splatter of red ink, yep right onto the white part between the image and sentiment, *GRR* can I get a break here?
So opportunity for improvement I cut out my image, restamped my sentiment and image on another piece and popped up the colored image. Thought all troubles was past until I picked up my glue to add some flower soft for the white portion of the image. Well that has not been used since last year around this time and guess what? The tip was sealed and the glue was hard so I reached for some crystal effects. SAME THING!!! So I grabbed some elmers glue. I got downstairs after taking my picture upstairs and realized I left of the 3 dots on the side. Oh well they are just not going to be there on this one. Teehee. I will not be out done.
Now I am off to work knowing that all my troubles surely are behind me. LOL, I hope :-(
RECIPE: Stamps: Dear Santa - Flourish Stamps Paper: white, cherry cobbler, old olive Ink: cherry cobbler, momento tuxedo black Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, copics, flower soft, glue Techniques: 3D, woven ribbon

Wet Paper Water Lilies

OK so this morning I made this and worked for over 1 hr trying to get it loaded. This afternoon I finally figured out (with Shannon's help) that my router box was the problem. I disconnected it and ran my internet straight to my PC tower and viola I was back on line. So Here I am late this evening finally getting this loaded. This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 292 - Pirouette Red Pizzazz. I love these colors together with one exception (real red). I do not know what is going on with my ink pad but it is ooee gooee and in a mess. I went to work this morning with red hands. LOL. Anyway, I also used Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 294 - Wet Paper Stamping. My image is from Flourishes "Water Lily" set. I love this darling set and the images in it were perfect for these challenges.
I stamped the largest lily in pink then in red after my wet watercolor paper was dry.
My layout is from Monday's LIZZIE ANNE DESIGNS SKETCH # 146. I punched the scalloped circle and doodled around the edges then popped it up. My lily is cut out and popped up. I crumbled the top panel of basic gray dp in my hand then smoothed it out for Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 88 - Crinkled. I distressed the edges of my pear pizzazz base panel with my scissors and ink distressed the edges of my dp panels with pink pirouette for today's FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE # 88 - Ink and Edge Distressing. I tied a pink and red ribbon on the bottom panel.

This is also for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 280 - Rose Olive Parfaits, FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE # 76 - Inspiration and a couple of the DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES presented by GBEDWRIGHT and NOTIMETOSTAMP that I had not played along with yet. With the color combo from Tuesday how could I NOT use Flourishes darling "Peaches and Cherries" stamp set? My images were stamped 3 times in Momento Tuxedo then colored with copics R81, R83, R85, YG93, YG85, YR0, YR01, & YR02. I cut out one of the images removing the leaves and top layered peach. These were popped up on dimensionals on the image layers. I used some stickles and then matted on old olive. The sentiment was stamped in regal rose then matted on regal rose. I used 2 different prints of dp from a My Minds Eye stack and matted with groovy guava after sponging the edges with pumpkin pie (Thank you again Betty for your help with substitutions). My base is old olive. Hope you like it.

Embossed on Embossed Strawberries For You

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 279 - Wild Cherry Mist sounds like a cool refreshing drink but turned into near heart failure. This is the 1st time in yrs I have NOT had the colors for the CC and I **gasp** when I saw todays color combo. What to do? So I somewhat CASED Betty's berries from her sample for today by using Flourish's "STRAWBERRIES" set that I just love. I stamped in versamark then heat embossed with black ep. I colored my image and used the blue color for shading around and about my image. After coloring I cut with large scallop oval Nestie and ran that panel through the Harliquen embossing folder in my Cuttlebug machine for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 281 - Embossing on Embossing. My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 82. Shannon shared some new Basic Gray dp with me and to honest I can not even remember which pieces are from which sets but I used 3 sheets. I tied a dark red ribbon around the top and made a bow. I stamped the sentiment in black tuxedo ink. Hope you like it.

So Sweet Strawberries

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Always Real Chocolate. For my layout I used today's FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE sketch. I also included Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Outside the Box. I stamped my image in graphite black, cut around the left side then used the Nestie large square to complete the cutting process. I cut a little too close inside so I ended up having to trim all the way around losing my embossing look (insert pout here). Focal image is matted on red then artichoke. My dp panel is from MME stack and the red strip was ran through the cuttlebug with my brand new heringbone folder. Love that CB. I tied some choc grosgrain ribbon around both panels and added a bow on the dp strip. They both are dark brown even though the one on the dp panel looks black.  I need a new camera for Christmas! I stamped the large berry, colored with copics, cut it out and popped it up and covered it with crystal effects. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Strawberries - Flourishes
Paper: whtie, always artichoke, real red, MME
Ink: graphite black, choc chip

Waterlily Acceptance

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Krafty Black Melons. I used a set called Waterlilies that I recently purchased from Flourishes for today's FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE - Border punches. I used my Fiskars scalloped with holes border punch on the black cs layer. My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE #45. I love this simple yet versatile sketch. I decided to have my focus mostly on a sentiment so it was stamped in cameo coral on white. I then stamped the fish separately in black brilliance, colored with copics, cut them out and placed them around the sentiment. I layerd my oval focal panel with cameo coral using my Marvy Mega oval scallop punch. I used some Kraft pattern paper for the border punch panel and popped all of this up on white cs. I love the contrast of this. Hope you do too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Waterlilies - Flourishes
Paper: white, black, cameo coral, kraft pp
Ink: cameo coral, black brilliance
Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, Marvy scallop oval punches, Fiskars oval template, Fiskars scallop border with holes

Winding Down Beach Life

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Winding Down Summer hosted this week by Jeanne S with a challenge to use a Summer theme. Well this is a set from Flourish Stamp Co that I bought bc I just HAD TO HAVE IT and today it finally got dirty. YEAH! I found some varigated ribbon for Julia's Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Varigated Colors and for my layout I used Roxy's Wednesday SKETCH CHALLENGE. My focal panel ended up a bit wider than I wanted so I trimmed around the right side and now it fits Anne's Wednesday DOUBLEDOG DARE CHALLENGE - Out Of The Box. Whoo Hoo. I stamped this darling image in black brilliance then colored with copics E31, E33, E35, G21, & G24. I sponged some bashful blue and appricot appeal using a scallop oval template then punched a circle and did some reverse masking to some some barely banana for a sun image. I covered the palm leaves with stickles and matted this on wild wasabi. I used some wild wasabi & close to cocoa pattern papers tied with my varigated ribbon. I heated the ends of the ribbon bc the sun was so hot it almosted melted that ribbon. Focal image is up on dimensionals. My card base is certainly celery. The sentiment was stamped in brilliant blue bc I love blue and it had to go somewhere. LOL. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Beach Life - Flourishes

Seaside Life Gift Bag

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Certainly Pixie Appeal. OK as MotherMark would say here is my story: Recently my darling daughter has been attempting to dethrown the Queen of Combos by combining multiple challenges from the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge list and then had the gaul to call me up and challenge me to "cowboy up!". Well, how can I not take that dare? LOL. Today I decided to not make a card when I found this darling gift bag creation on FOLLOW YOUR HEART BLOG and just had to make one because of LodiChicks' DTGD - IT'S IN THE BAG CHALLENGE. They are simple and darling as well. In making my bag I decided to use a set I just got from Flourishes, I mean why buy if your not going to use it right? My bag is made with some vanilla textured dp for DeborahLynn's DTGD - TAKEN WITH TEXTURE CHALLENGE. I stamped some of the coral in certainly celery on the bag. Also the bag uses ribbon as handles and Lauraly's DTGD - TIE ONE ON CHALLENGE is to use ribbon on your creation. I punched the word window punch after stamping the sentiment in pixie pink because Becca wanted us to DTGD - CUT IT OUT using punches. I also stamped and cut out several of the seashell images then distressed the edges of the tag with appricot appeal ink and attached it to the sea shell brad and popped it up. I put a tag on because Genie's DTGD - TAG ART CHALLENGE was to use a tag. Well Shannon, now it's your turn again to "cowboy up!". LOL. I filled this bag with some pink grass and hard candy. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Seaside Life
Paper: Vanilla Textured CS, White, Appricot Appeal,
Ink: Appricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, Certainly Celery
