Praise Him Bookmark Card for FIL

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 268 - Save the Page. Can you believe this is for just 1 challenge, LOL. That is what happens when the phone rings at 7am with one of those "we need you right now" calls. Oh well, I had this bookmark made for awhile just no idea what I wanted to do with it until today. Thanks Holly for the kick in the behind. I used some dark brown cs and my Cuttlebug Fleu De Lis Embossing folder after trimming with my brand new Nestie Large Oval Scallop, The white card base was also cut with the Large Oval so that you could see the bookmark inside the card which is held inside with a strip of the outside cs. Here is a close up picture of the bookmark. My bookmark was made with a stamp set from Clear and Simple called "Praise Him". The sentiment is stamped in close to cocoa and the cross in creamy caramel. I also sponged around the corners and sides to soften the white. I made this for my Father In Law and now it is complete and ready to give him in June. Whoo Hoo thanks again Holly. I hope he likes it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Praise Him - CSS
Paper: white, brown
Ink: close to cocoa, creamy caramel
Accessories: cuttlebug, Fleur De Lis, Nesties, brad, ribbon
Techniques: dry emboss, sponge distressing

Snowman Soup Gift Set

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Silver & Gold. I used silver & gold cording in my ribbon tied on my cup handle, a gold leafing pen around the top and bottom of my cup and silver sharpe on the center of the snowman's hat. This is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Cookin' Up A Challenge where we were to create around a recipe. Well I am not much on cooking but since I still needed something for a co-worker and Snowman Soup is a recipe I went with it. I made another darling cup from Sue Berker's CUP TEMPLATE. My cup is made with brown cs then decorated with so saffron pattern paper. The recipe is matted on melon mambo and I stamped 3 snowmen, colored and cut them out. I popped 1 of each on both sides of the recipe on the cup and used the 3rd one on the 3x3 card I made using Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE. Well you guessed it my color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Saffron Moss Melons. I used 2 stamp sets Winter and Cup of Cocoa both from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. When I got ready to take my pic I realized that one of my grandbabies or my dh must have snitched my candy cane I had upstairs and that was the last one so now I have to go buy some more so I can put one in this cup and I need some to hang on the tree too. TeeHee, gotta luv'em.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Winter, Cup of Cocoa - Clear And Simple Stamps
Paper: brown, vanilla, melon mambo, so saffron pp, white
Ink: black brillance, gold leafing pen, silver sharpe

WELL WISHES COLLECTION

SOTM TEMPLATE:

ADDITIONAL TEMPLATE:

Yes that's correct we have an additional freebie to giveaway this month - a fabulous calendar template. It fits perfectly on the front of a standard card. You can trim it down to be smaller or mat it to make it larger - this little calendar has tons of possibilities and works wonderfully with the new Month-to-Month sets releasing with the collection.

CSS CalendarOfCardsTemplate.pdf

I made this darling card with BELIVE IN WORDS IV stamp set in today's release. I just love that cardinal image and could NOT wait to get it inked up and colored. I stamped it 2 times then colored with copics and cut one completely out of just the bird the other I cut with my Marvy Giga circle scallop punch then layered it with some green cs using the extra giga circle scallop. The dp is from Hobby Lobby's Season's Greetings stack. I ran some ribbon and attached a black and red button for details.

Believe In Word Holiday Sleigh

This is for today's TAKE THE TUESDAY CHALLENGE provided by CLEAR AND SIMPLE each month. This month we are challenged to create something for holiday decor. Well that was easy for me since I just loved this sleigh template so much and Shannon did too so I made her one. I think I like hers better than the 1st one. Hmm may have to swap it out huh? LOL. This one was made with a sheet of red metallic for the sleigh portion and the gold metallic for the frame. I used large brad to attach the frame to the sleigh. This template found on the CLEAR AND SIMPLE BLOG site is one of the easiest and most fun ones I have done. This sleigh was trimmed in gold cording, filled with red confetti and peppermints. The focal image is a decorated black ink pen. I punched 2 Marvy extra giga scallop circles in green and 2 giga scallop circles in white. I stamped the image 4 times in graphite black then colored with copics. and cut out the 2 birds and popped them up on dimensionals.
Here is another angle of this desktop treat holder.

And here is a close up of this darling cardinal image. I just think it is awesome. I think I will put this on my desk for decoration since they will not let us plug in trees (insert pout). This darling image is from a set called BELIEVE IN WORDS IV and will be available on December 10th from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS.
I made this in my all time favorite Christmas color combo (red , green and gold) so it is also for this weeks challenge from THE PINK ELEPHANT. Hope you like it. Cup of Cocoa Template:

Want to have some more fun. Here is a free Bonue Template of a darling sleigh designed by Sue as well. Try it, you'll like it!

Here is my attmpt at this hot cocoa mug template created by Sue, you have to try this one out.
I love this fantastic stamp set. I filled my cup with a treat bag of cocoa, marshmallows and a Hersheys choc bar tied with some satin brown ribbon. I used the December Stamp of the Month Cup template created by Sue for this project. I created my cup base & handle from the medium brown cs, trimmed the top and bottom with a gold leafing pen bc that's how most of my decorative cups look. I used a strip of vanilla for the middle of the cup and randomly stamped the short sentiments and double marshmallow image in choc chip ink. The focal sentiment and framed image were stamped in close to cocoa on vanilla, matted on a darker brown both trimmed using the Nestability Labels 3. I made a coordinating 3x3 gift card using vanilla and medium brown cs. My focal image was stamped in espresso ink then colored with copics. I filled in the marshmallows with a white jel pen to make then stand out.

Here are some more views:
This is everything outside of the cup.The gift cardFront view of the empty cup.Back view of the cup

We hope you are inspired by all of our creations. Please hop over to the Clear and Simple Stamps Blog and the other Design Team Members for more eye candy using this stamp set and cup template.

Cup of Cocoa Sneak Peek

This is for today's CARD POSITIONING SYSTEM's Sketch for this week. What a fun layout to work with. I used a set that will be released Dec 1st from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS called Cup of Cocoa. I stamped the cup on vanilla then on the dp and cut the cup portion out to paper piece. I colored the saucer with copics R24, R27, R29. My base is certainly celery and the dp is from Hobby Lobby's Celebrate the Seasons with Glitter dp pack. I used riding hood red for my Marvy giga scallop punch then doodled around the scallops with my white jel pen. The inside of the cup was also paper pieced with vanilla then colored with E35, E37, E39. The marshmallows were colored with the white jel pen. I stamped the sentiment with riding hood red. Be on the look out for this darling new set to be released Dec 1st at midnight, you will not want to miss it.

Flight of the Bee CASEing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Mrs.Boz. I decided on her BE YOURSELF CARD. I loved the colors and sentiment on this darling card. I changed the theme, layout, and used honeycomb embossed plate. I just had to pull out my Flight of the Bees from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. This was one of my 1st purchases from them and I love it. I stamped the bee on white then colored with copics. I punched them with 1in circle punch then black matt with 1 1/4 in circle punch. I punched a hole in the top to thread the hemp and tie around the ribbon. My layout is from Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Sketch. I found some cs that was close to honey colored and trimmed it with my Martha Stewart drippy goo bc honey is drippy right? LOL. I added some stickles to the bee wings and the dripping portion of the trim. Sentiment was stamped with graphite black.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Flight of the Bee - Clear and Simple Stamps

Cup of Cocoa Snowman Soup Treat Box Sneak Peek

OH I just love this time of year and sending Snowman Soup is right up there on the top of my To Do List. LOL. I made this treat box out of a piece of Winter Textured DP from Wal Mart years ago. It measures out finished 5H,4L,1W and is filled with Hot Cocoa Mix, Marshmallows (they are there just hard to see) and a candy cane. I punched out the Nesties Oval Scallop in the center of the front side of the treat box then used that section to matt the sentiment on that is stamped in bashful blue and pacific point for the matching greeting card using a white card base and the dark blue textured cs from the stack. I used a set that will be released Dec 1st at midnight from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. Hold onto your hat's because Sue has created another awesome template to coordinate with this darling stamp set. Oh I hope you like this sneak peek. Keep watching for more sneak peeks and eye candy from the CSS Design Team Members. Here is a snap shot of everything separated.and this is a close up of the card.

Sneak Peek Cup of Cocoa in a Winter Sleigh

Well Sue Berker over at Clear and Simple Stamps has done it again with a fantastic and fun template this month as a bonus. With the holiday season getting to a great start this Winter Sleigh template is a perfect addition to the seasonal decor around the home or office. Fill it full of goodies and watch everyone around flock to your desk

I used some red glitter dp for the sleigh body and some metallic dp for the gold frame. For the inside I used my gold leafing pen. I used 4 lg gold brads to attached the frame to the sleigh. A gold wired ribbon bow adorns the outside, red confetti paper on the inside topped with red and gree peppermints. I punched 2 Nestie labels 4 in Glorious Green cs then stamped the frame image from Cup of Cocoa set that will be released on Dec 1st in real red and the sentiment is from a set released the 15th of this month called Cookie Bake. Both sets are from Clear and Simple Stamps. I cut out the frames and attached it to the Nesties on both sides so that they look the same from front and back then adhered them to the jumbo paper clip and slid the clip to the side of the sleigh. This template can be found on the Clear and Simple Stamps Blog for you to print out and make one for yourself. I love how this turned out and hope you do too.

Winter Snowmen Fun

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. Rox has given us a "funky" sketch this week to play with. OK don't faint, yes this is just 1 challenge. I had this vision in my head as soon as I saw the SC and did not want to stray from it. I am absolutely luvin' how this turned out. I stamped the snowflakes in versamark on both pieces of cs and embossed the white with Cuttlebugs Snowflake folder then highlighted with some stickles. Ya know I gotta have some stickles. LOL. My cute snowmen were stamped in graphite black then colored with copics, cut out and popped up on the same colors of CS punched with 1 3/8 circle punches and then SU scallop circle punch. The sketch made me think of snowmen playing on a hill of snow so that is what I went with and I hope you like it too. I tore some cotton balls and spread them out to be placed under the card for this picture which makes it look like this card is also standing on snow. Cute Huh? I am so gifted, NOT!!
RECIPE:
Stamps: Winter
Paper: white, red & green
Ink: graphite black
Accessories: copics, circle punch, scallop circle punch, Cuttlebug, Snowflake EF

CAS Winter DT Call

This is for the CAS DT WINTER CALL. I used this darling SNOWFLAKE, ICICLE, and ICE CUBE ORNAMETS for inspiration for this Wintery inspiration and combined it with sketch #1. I used some Winter Snowflake textured dp I have had for a couple yrs from WalMart for the top panel and bashful blue cs for the base. I punched a strip of white and used my MS drippy goo border punch bc it looks like melting snow. I punched the small and medium side snowflakes from this fantastic set just released on the 15th from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS - Winter in bashful blue and pacific point ink. I love this set. I punched the snowflakes using circle punches then aligned them on top of the blue ribbon. I applied a little stickles on the tips of the border.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Winter - CSS
Paper: bashful blue, white, WM Wintery Textured dp
Ink: bashful blue, pacific point
Accessories: ribbon, MS drippy goo border punch, stickles, circle punches

This one is also for the CLEAN AND SIMPLE WINTER CALL. I used an autumn set recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Autumn Blessings. I used this MAPLE LEAF GLASS ORNAMENT for my inspiration and combined it with Sketch #2 to make this card. I stamped the leaf in this fun autumn set in kiwi kiss, crushed curry and dusty durango. I also rolled some of the leaves in a 2nd color. I love the way leaves look this time of year in their varigated shades. Each leaf is punched with a square and the dusty durango mat is the smalled deckled punch from Fiskars. This ended up larger than I normally like but I think it turned out ok.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Autumn Blessings - THS
Paper: vanilla, dusty durango
Ink: dusty durango
Accessories: Fiskars deckle punch
