Inspired Little Trucks

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Posters.com. We have birthdays for a grandson this month and granddaughter next month and I found tooo many posters that just screamed "oh yeh, I'm the one", teehee. I finally decided to start with the most current upcoming day for Brayden who will be 6. Man where does this time go, she just had him a last year didn't she? I found my inspiration for this little cutie from DIGGER. Anyway, there have only been a couple of previous sets from SU when I started that I soooo wanted and this Little Truck set and Wild Wild West were 2 of them I just can not seem to get but I did get some really nice SCSer's to share some images with me. I love this site. Such really nice people on here, thanks Kelly for these images. I am also more than willing to share images from those that I have purchased if I have any that anyone wants, just pm me.
My image was stamped in black on white cs. I colored it with copic markers and attached some google eyes. Brayden will love that. I used today's layout from UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES. I drug out some textured CS I have been hoarding and used it for my base. The dp layer is from DCWV's glittery Citrus mat stack. The entire layer 2, with the focal image on it, is popped up. The vertical sentiment is from Close To My Heart's Happy Birthday Set. Oh I hope he likes this. Now the hard part, what to get him!!

Out West CASE

I was so happy to see a cyber friend of mine featured to. Stacy is just a sweet person. YAH STACY!!. When I first meet her on this site she was uploading a set from CTMH that of course I just had to buy. So this is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Twinshappy (aka Stacy). She taunted me with her uploads of this set until I broke and bought it so I thought it only fitting to use it today as a tribute and reminder. I chose her GIDDY UP card to CASE. I used the same style of paper but changed the colors, I also changed the layout by using Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and punched some daisies instead of using primas. I left of the hardware and ribbon bc I could not figure out how to incorporate them. I embossed the boots & hat with pixie pink craft ink using super fine embossing powder. Then I colored the bottom of the boots and hat with a copic marker. The corner was stamped with Pixie pink on green galore. The hat is cut out and popped up. I am still loving this set.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Out West - Close To My Heart STamps
Paper: Making Memories dp, Green Galore, Pixie Pink

Nature Silhouette HB

Happy Sunday all. I made this for today's FEATURED STAMPER - K Dunbrook. I picked her HAPPY ANNIVERSARY card to CASE. I just loved the colors she used and it is perfect with a silhouette image as well. I just happened to have some new rubbah needin' lovin' and so I changed the layout, left off the CB layer, paper piercing, ribbon, and brads. I used basic gray for my ink and a HB sentiment from Close To My Heart's "Happy Birthday" set that I just dearly love how it swirls. I have a cousin how is a deer hunter but has a hard time finding one so on this card I punched out 2 birds. One black and one white. I adhered them just off a bit and dotted an eye on the white one then folded the wings up just a bit. It looks like the deer is looking at the bird and I think he will like this or at least I hope he will.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Nature Silhouettes - SU, Happy Birthday (CTMH)

Happy Birthday

Well the challenge was not up before I had to go to work but that is OK bc I had to come home to sleep so I can go back and work 11p-7am. eekkk. I am not a night person. I need prayers to stay awake. Anyway I came home, can't sleep, so this is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - No More Dec Holiday Cards. I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE for my layout and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - So Coral Opulence for my color combo. I also used my brand new stamp I got Tuesday night from my dear sweet grandbaby Brayden. Alana and Madison love to "Stampin' UP" as much as her mama and Nana. LOL. They are so funny when they 1st started saying that. In his honor I used this stamp today to make a non december Birthday card with no reds or greens in it.LOL. The saffron layer was stamped with the star background image using cameo coral ink. The senitment is from 2 different stamps in the Close To My Heart set called Birthday Greetings. I stamped the image 2 times and cut the stars, banner and party hats out to pop them up. I turned the banner around so you could see more of the swirl and wrote Happy with a marker. I also applied stickles to the big stars and the small ones on the hats. I hope he likes it bc his birthday is in July and he just might see it again. sshhh it's a secret. Hope everyone traveling has safe travels this weekend.

Matey's Treasure Map

I have seen some really kewl creations from this sketch and just got inspired to come home and hit the craft desk again until I liked this sketch. Well I think I did. At least I like this one better than my 1st attempt anyway. This is the Mateys' Map Jumbo wheel rolled in Close to Cocoa on vanilla CS. The sentiment is from Close to My Heart's Treasures of the Heart set which I purchased especially for this sentiment to go with Ahoy Matey set. Not being a great fan of square cards and seeing many examples of others who extended the squared image to fit the regular 4 1/4 X 5 3/4 card I made a 2nd attempt at today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. After rolling the wheel I trimmed the image to 1 1/4 squares and placed them on the light brown cs left end. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and matted on light brown cs which is then matted on vanilla CS 5 3/4 X 4 1/4. I layered some vanilla ribbon and tied a knot in the center. I will give this to one of my close friends who is always there in time of need.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Matey's Map Jumbo Wheel, CTMH Treasures of the Heart
Paper: Vanilla, Light Brown
