WOC New Product & StampARTic Challenge

Wild Orchid Crafts is launching a new product today - Paper Poppies!!

These are so cute and beautiful, and you can get them in eighter white or red in the shop HERE!

The whole team has made some beautiful creations today - showing off these amazing POPPIES, so please pay them a visit and give them some looove!

I've made a round card today, for the october challenge at stampARTic, using their sketch and the colours blue and brown :)
And of course the card is showing off those cute POPPIES in white, and other beautiful items from WOC :)

StampARTic "Card of the Year"

StampARTic has a challenge going on, where we're supposed to pick the card we made this year, that we're most satisfied with....

Not easy, but I ended up with this card:

This is the first card I made for the Papirgleder's KortCup, and that sent me to the finale

(that I by the way, ended as no.2 :),

but that's not actually why I'm most pleased with this card...

First of all, I love the image, and I think the coloration of it, is quite good too :)

Second of all, I love Maja Papers, and these blue ones, makes the card have the winter-feeling that I wanted to create.

The third reason, is that I like that the card 'feels' warm, even though the colors are 'cold', and I think the sparkling in it makes it a bit magical :)

StampARTic 2nd October Challenge - Halloween

It's been a long time since I've participated in on of StampARTic's Challenges - Shame on me :(
But when I saw the new, and cutest ever, Halloween-hÂnglar stamps, and the Halloween Challenge going on at StampARTic this month, and I decided to make my first Halloween card ever ;) The card is greatly inspired by Jorunn's georgeous card, but is made as a birthday card for a great friend of mine, Kine, who's birthday is tomorrow ;)

The card was made when I was at the Stamp & Scrap Gathering last weekend. I had a whole lot of fun during the weekend - A big thank you to everyone, for making my weekend a blast ;)

Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee and Jet Black for stamping, Distress Ink - Tea Dye and Spiced Marmelade for distressing and shading, Distress Ink - Refills for colouring.
Stamps: hÂnglar & stÂnglar - Halloween Kit, Norsk Stempelblad AS - Sentiment on the front, Stempelglede - Sentiment inside.
Papers: MME - The Spiders Web "Pumpkin Patch", Bazzill - Brown and Orange Cardstock, Aquarellpaper 200 g.
Embellies: Kort & Godt - Pearls, Ribbon (that I got from my sweet friend Maria ;).
Tools: Spellbinders - Nestabilities Rectangles and Petite Ovals, Cuttlebug - Emboss Spiderweb.

I havent been making any papercraft these last two weeks - even though I have summervecation, beacause I've found it to hot to find any inspiration. But when I came across the StampARTic's new challenge for July - A great sketch made by the very talented Marianne, and where the options for the challenge, where to make it in the colours of brown and blue (I love that colourcombo :), I just had to make a card for this challenge!!

StampARTic's 1th of May Sketch Challenge

Just in time...but still a few hours left until midnight ;)
This is a card I made for the StampARTic's 1th of May Challenge - a sketch by "the one and only" Pia Bau :o)

I've seen so many beautiful cards in blue/green colours lately, and since the blue colour makes me dream about the blue summer sky, and the green about the fresh green gras, I just had to try this colour combo ;o)

I've always used a waterbrush when I colour my images, but this time I've tried to use a regular brush, dipped in water ;o) It's a bit more challenging, I think, so I'll have to practice some more :o)

StampARTic - Sketchchallenge #4

Finally I managed to finish my card for the StampARTic sketchchallenge #4!!!

It seems that once in a while, I do manage to make even three cards in just one day...But most often, I use three days to make just one card ;o) - as I did on this card! (I have to say, that I've been working in between ;)
This card is actually made as a small easter-gift for my sweet, charming, chocolate-loving nephew Benjamin (age 2,5 years) - He has to have some of that from me, don't you think? *Ü* I hope we'll find some time during easter, to visit him, my brother and my sister in law, who lives in Løten :)

Okay, here is my card - I've followed the sketch in tree sides! On one of the insides, there's a chocolate-box with a wrapped chocolate-bar in it!

Behind the wrapping, I've hidden a double "Kvikk Lunsj" Chocolate-bar.

Is'nt this boy a real sweetheart? I'm in looove... The textstamp on the label says "To a friend". The small rubons says "Smile" and "Hug".

The "chocolate-box" inside... The stamped text-stripes says "Greatings from the heart", and "To you, my dear friend".

The journaling-label... The small rubons here says "Memories" and "friends".

The floral-embellishments that follows the pages...

My signature on the back... The small rubons on the back (that does'nt show on this pic), says "Happiness" and "Joy".

StampARTic Challenge #1

Hos stampARTic har Camilla har utfordret oss til å lage kort i en spesiell, men enkel, bretteteknikk!
Kortene som er laget av DT-teamet var så lekre, at de inspirerte meg tvert til å prøve meg på et slikt kort - så her kommer mitt brettekort!
Samtidig ble det et ganske fint bursdagskort til svigerfar, som blir 70 år i morgen!







Av papir har jeg brukt mønsterpapir fra Papirdesign, brun og beige Bazzill-kartong.
Stempelet jeg har brukt rundt kantene er fra Stempelglede - Julestjerne, og ornamentsirkelen som er brukt sammen med signaturstempelet mitt (fra Scrapmagasinet) på baksiden, er også fra en av Stempelgledes kolleksjoner. Jeg har stemplet med Archival Ink - Coffee.
Kortet er enkelt pyntet (da jeg synes stempelkanten og mønsterpapiret er så fint i seg selv), med BossCut - Swirls, hjertebånd, Primablomster og punchede blomster, metallpynt fra Unik Hobby, og perler og mellomdeler er fra mitt eget perlearkiv.
