GD Make It Crafty- Bestevenner boks

Hello crafty friends,
For my third guest designer post over at Make it Crafty I am showcasing a box I made for my daughter to give her  friend. It's going to be filled with their shared "BFF secret stash" .

I dag viser jeg frem mitt tredje GD prosjekt for Make it Crafty. Jeg har laget en boks som datteren min skal gi til venninnen sin. Den skal fylles med "hemmelige vennskaps ting"

Here's the top. I made a clean and simple layout - for me anyways. I wanted the two images to be the main focus. I merged two of the gorgeus Sitting girls-  Lotus Sitting and Chelsea Hugging Legs. I think they work perfectly together. I added sky and ground with a few straws of grass to make a scene around them.
Slik ser lokket på boksen ut. Jeg har maskert de to stemplene sammen digitalt og tegnet litt gress og bakke under og lagt en lys blåfarge som himmel, så ble de en liten scene ut av det.

The images used are Lotus Sitting and Chelsea Hugging Legs masked together.

Copic colors used:
Hud/Skin: E04-11-21-01-000, E93,
Hår/Hair Lotus: E25, Y26-21, YR24, Hår/Hair Chelsea: E59-57-55-51-50,
Rosa/Pinks: R89-85-83-81, RV34,
Lilla/Purple: BV29-25-23-20, W7,
Turkis/Turqoise: BG75-72-71(homemade)-70-11,
Bakke/Ground: E35-33-31-30,
Gress/Grass: YG67-63-61-40-21,
Himmel/Sky: B0000, BG000, B60

Here's a view of the box.

I made it from scratch with chipboard and decorated with design papers.

Her er en kikk inn i boksen også. Jeg har laget den av chipboard og dekket den med bazzill og mønserark. Det skal limes inn bilde av de gode venninnene inni lokket :)

Chelsea Hugging Legs Make it Crafty
Chipboard
Bazzill White
Maja design papers
Memorybox Calais Butterfly Dies

GDT Ett Trykk: Sommerminner

Hi friends,
Summer is over, and it's back to school, back to work and so on. The weather has been below average  here in Norway this year, but we did enjoy our holidays, and we did collect lots of fun Summer Memories. So I made a box to keep some of them. I made the box from cardstock and decorated it with design papers and lots of dies.
All dies are from the first Magnolia club kit. I remember when I got it I was very disappointed, and thought I would never use them. But I have grown to like them a lot, and I have been using them on quite a few cards this summer.

The image is Circus Trixie by Little Darling Rubber Stamps/Saturated canary. Copic colors used:
Hair. E18-14-09-08, Skin: E13-11-21-000, R20
Blue: B000-00-01-05-06
Yellow: YR00-20-21-23, E35
Purple: BV17-15-12-08, V12-20-22

Papers are Melissa Frances. I used a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch. Postmark stamps by Kort og Godt.

Lots of charms I got on ebay, and a few seashells from the beach.

Filed with summer memorabilia!

Hope you like it!

I also used the Scalloped square dies by
Quick Kutz/Lifestyle Crafts, and pearls fro Papirdesign.
I distress all edges with walnut stain distress ink.
Heres what the box looks like inside.

Live & Love craft inspiration- Picking berries.

H there! It's my turn to post on the Live & Love Craft Inspiration and Challengeblog today. (By the way, did you se my gorgeous new DT badge on my sidebar!) We have a fall theme going on this week, and we were asked to make a project with hunting, berries or mushrooms. I encourage you to stop by the blog too see the beautiful projects the DT has posted this week. For my project I made a gift box with a  strawberry theme.

I made the base out of green cardstock and covered it with the lovely Pion Design papers, I used both sides of the Pink Dots 12x12 sheet from the Fairytale of Spring Collection. I used a Quick Kutz die to make the bottom and the top of the lid. I punched the design papers with a Martha steward punch and added some lace. The green cardstock I chose was too bright to match the project, so I covered it with some  Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint, Picket Fence to soften it up, and it worked perfectly.

The flowers used are the  Hortensia flowers from Papercraft Scandinavia,  Roses With Glass Pearls  from Kort og Godt, and Resin Blossoms from Maya Road. As usual I used my favorites, the Trinklet heart pins and Vintage Pearl Pin from Maya Road. The cute Strawberry charms are from my stash. I also used some of the pretty Jute fabric.

I masked two magnolia stamps on the lid of the box. I used the Strawberry Yummy Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow Collection and the Lace Jar from the Yummy For Your Tummy Collection

Here's the stamped image. I colored it very softly with  Tim Holtz distressink pads and markers .
And the lid looks like this:

Hope you like it!

Live & Love Crafts challenge #1

Hi, I'm back again with a premiere this time. The lovely Sandra has just opened her own online crafting store Live & Love Craft with all the wonderful vintage and shabby chic crafting supply you can imagine! I was so happy when she asked me to join the DT! The store also has a challenge and inspiration blog. Every 1st of the month there will be a new challenge for you to join. The talented ladies of the design team will have lots of inspiration for you to get you started. The very first challenge in honor of the season is
Nautic
I had lots of fun with the gorgeous design papers and made a gift box for my daughters kindergarten, she had her last day this Friday. We filled it with homemade bookmarks for each of the wonderful women there. It was a big success! And we all had tears in our eyes when we said goodbye for the last time. Now shes starting school in the fall. I can't believe she's such a big girl now!

Well enough allready, here's my project:

I used papers from the Lovely Maja Designs Life by the sea collection.

I made a box from cardstock to get the size I wanted.
I put some ribbon on the sides, and attached dolphin and sea-star charms.

Here's my  Tilda Unanchor. The background stamp is the Pier background also from Magnolia. I masked the two together.
I've been practicing with distres ink for a while now, and finally feel like I'm getting the hang of it!
I use Rangers Tim Holtz distress ink pads.
The resin peaces (corners) are Melissa Frances Garnihs Applique, the lace around the image is Camel lace from Riddersholm.

I loved this compass charm the minute I saw it! I used some rope-like ribbon, cheesecloth and pearl string

I used Mulberry flowers, and the big one is a Gardenia flower, the others are roses. I painted some Tim Holtz Cracle Paint on the flowers, distressed it with vintage photo and finally put some liquid pearls on the leaf edges.
I decorated the inside with Maja Design's Life by the Sea papers.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edges, and I wrote a little note.

A little present for each of the lovely ladies. The tag is Magnolia doohicke's Romantic Tag.

Hope you like it!
Now pop over to the Live & Love crafts challenge and inspiration blog to see the creations of the rest of the DT and to join in. You can win a £25 gift voucher from the store!
